We should at least round up all the Germany ones and deport them back to Germany.

$5,700?? I would think it would be much higher than that!

Microsoft Warns of Trojan horse malware

Another important issue is raised in this article: Windows 2000, Windows XP versions prior to service pack 3 and Windows Vista without any service packs will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft. (SP2 is the latest for Vista). To see which SP you have, do the following: For XP, click Start, click Run, type winver, and then press Enter. The SP that is installed will be displayed in the box that pops up. For Vista, Click the Start button , type winver in the search box, and then press Enter. If you would like to see pictures of what it will look like, click here: ht -
I surrender. You have me beat. The only other machine that I have that still works is very old Compaq. I started to pitch it last week but I could not bring myself to do it. It has a 5.25" 6GB Bigfoot hard drive. I remember thinking that I would never be able to fill up a 6GB drive.
-
Ha! Unless you left something out, I have you beat by one computer. XP=3 XP/Linux Mint Dual Boot=1 Vista=1 7/Ubuntu Linux Dual Boot=1 OS X=1
-
Consider it done.

My only complaint with Vista is that it is a pig when it comes to using your hardware efficiently. If you have the right hardware, Vista can run well. Unfortunately, many computer manufacturers sold lots of computers with Vista that would have been more appropriate for XP.

The signs do not make a difference to me. I can tolerate the signs if all of the phone calls would stop. I must have received 10 calls yesterday.

If you have Vista installed on your computer and have access to a ".edu" email address through a college, you can purchase Windows 7 Professional Upgrade for only $29.99 here: http://www.microsoft.com/student/office/en-us/default.aspx List price for this software is $200. Windows 7 is much better than Vista and will actually enable your computer to run faster. Also, I can do a clean install for you for only $80 (or $100 if you need me to save data such as pictures, music and documents). A clean install means that I will wipe your hard drive clean before the install which is much better tha

You are dead on the money. Apple wants total control over the user experience and as a result they have only a microscopic amount of software-software or software-hardware conflict issues. If you are willing to play by a strict set of rules , you can't beat Apple. If on the other hand, you want endless possibilities, then Windows, Android, Linux, and other less restrictive OS's are the way to go. Personally, I do not feel that either option is wrong or right - it's just about personal preference. -

We should be able to make this easier and less stressful for you. Unless you are using some highly specialized industry specific programs, there should be something that will work in OS X. I know we have some Mac folks on pcom that would be willing to offer advice. There is also a book that I really like called "Switching to Mac". You can read more about it here: http://www.amazon.co...79243803&sr=8-1 -

Tell me about it. I'm about ready to rip the phone wire out of the wall. -
Thanks. I pulled the panel cover and it had a list of acceptable breakers. It turns out that I can use the THQL.
-
I like Epson, Cannon and HP. Read the reviews on Amazon for particular model numbers.
-
I need to replace a breaker at home. The old breaker is a "TQL". Based on my research, it looks like a "THQL" would be an acceptable replacement. Is this true and what is the difference between the two? The is for a GE box that is about 40 years old.

Phone exclusivity is not a concept that is unique to ATT. For example, I think the Droid Incredible is a great phone but I would need to switch to Verizon to use it. -

We have to many lawyers with idle time. -
Another way that hackers gain access to password protected sites is by just running through the dictionary until they hit upon your password. Therefore, no one should use a password that is a real word. "zpi#odf77*874f" would be a good password, "skippy" would not be.
-
As long as you typed in facebook.com you were at the real site. Hackers frequently send email and IM's with links to click on to access Facebook. However, those links can lead to a site that is designed to look like the real facebook

Apple's latest iPhone has reception problems due to the antenna design and placement. Consumer Reports has confirmed the problem and has a fix that uses duct tape. (So much for that sleek new design). CR video is below.

I'm only aware of what he did for the Yankees, and if that was all he did he would still be a historical giant. RIP.

Impressive. Makes me think of Jack Lalanne who is 95 and in great shape.
