My only complaint with Vista is that it is a pig when it comes to using your hardware efficiently. If you have the right hardware, Vista can run well. Unfortunately, many computer manufacturers sold lots of computers with Vista that would have been more appropriate for XP.

You are dead on the money. Apple wants total control over the user experience and as a result they have only a microscopic amount of software-software or software-hardware conflict issues. If you are willing to play by a strict set of rules , you can't beat Apple. If on the other hand, you want endless possibilities, then Windows, Android, Linux, and other less restrictive OS's are the way to go. Personally, I do not feel that either option is wrong or right - it's just about personal preference.

We should be able to make this easier and less stressful for you. Unless you are using some highly specialized industry specific programs, there should be something that will work in OS X. I need to replace a breaker at home. The old breaker is a "TQL". Based on my research, it looks like a "THQL" would be an acceptable replacement. Is this true and what is the difference between the two? The is for a GE box that is about 40 years old.
