  1. job creation....ABC light switch company. yay.
  2. I thought ours was stolen once but it turned out it was the garbage company. They had a ticket to pick it up. Not sure why, they never figured out that part but they finally did bring it back a day later. They chalked the error up to a clerical mistake. whatever...bring my dadgum can back, dummies.
  3. kudos for the heart change. It takes an open mind and large heart to move past that place you were in. I totally get that!! We ALL want the best for our children. It is my place as a parent to make sure that I set my child up for success. If that takes making a few adjustment to meet them where they are, then so be it. Lift them up. This will allow them to succeed, become more self confident and willing to take on challenges if they are not constantly faced with dread and disappointment. I have to be more vigilant and a lot more involved but if it takes that, I am willing. It's my job
  4. Turners might very well carry Pride and Pleasure.
  5. Lawson's. I have not heard if he has closed or not. If you feed Southern States feed, Elrod's is a SS feed dealer. You could call them to see if they stock your feed. I heard Sam say that if he doesn't have your feed, let him know and he will see if he can get it for you. Wildhorse in Powder Springs is also a SS dealer. Of course there is Turners at Hwy 5 and Bankhead in Douglasville. Jeff has been very sick. I'm sure it's been hard to keep the store open.
  6. Djohar Tsarnaev Djohar Tsarnaev dead dude's social media page shows his religion affiliation. Three guesses what it is. Now the news says they have been here for 12 years. However his facebook is nothing but russian.
  7. Hmmm, you bring up a very good point! I wonder if thatcould be written in the IEP. They would have to do it, since the IEP is a legal contract. Just a thought....
  8. inclusion is where we have the most problems. My childs small group teachers are frustrated beyond frustrated with the system and admin. I like the small group the best but it is necessary to try to get them to function in a larger setting both academically and socially. Admin would like all classes in the regular classroom setting. It seems I always have to pitch a fit to keep her in small group.
  9. Nebo is having issues with support from admin. It is sad but you will have to make them follow the IEP to the letter. It is my experience that it is not the IEP teachers. It is the teachers in the inclusion classes that wont follow IEP and admin won't make them do it either. I'm also faced with hiring an advocate but admin knows I mean business and I will call them on every thing they do wrong and will make them explain everything they do. I have come to the conclusion that I am my child's administrative assistant. It is totally pathetic that I have to check the work that the teachers
  10. I looked but have nothing to add. I have no equipment there but I am sad that it closed. We liked bowling there.
  11. I personally have two friends who were not as lucky in regards to their brown recluse bites. I'm happy for you that it was not worse.
  12. and during the summer, there are several day camps offered for different types of shooting. Jun 17th is a BB Gun Camp and on June 19 there is an Air Rifle Gun Camp. They may incorporate the SAFE program into each shooting club. There is BB, Shotgun and Archery in our county. The seasons have already started a while back.
  13. ok, I found it on the website: Georgia 4-H S.A.F.E. I don't know anything about that particular program. You should call and talk to Brittni at the Extension office on Monday. We LOVE 4H!
  14. HUGE 4H program! I don't know anything about the SAFE program but am a parent volunteer in a large 4H club. What is the SAFE about?
  15. Love my Ken Scott! He fills up the library early so you people better get there early! He is a class act and you WILL NOT be disappointed!
  16. I posted on my facebook. I'll let you know if anybody messages me. I hope you find the right place for him!
  17. It was a pleasure doing business with you today. You were really quick about getting in the special tires I needed for my horse trailer on short notice and you were also really quick putting them on! You had the best drive out price of SIX places that I called. Thanks again and I hope to do business with you again. http://www.paulding.com/directory/images/dir/quality.swf
  18. that's too bad. She is a great sitter. Both of my girls stayed with her. She is like family....crazy family, but in a good way. We love love love Miss Dobbie! And it is a better caregiver ratio with a private person.
  19. Rose put down my Miss Ellie and thanks to my BFF, they didn't make me go through it either. It's tough. She was the first one I ever lost. The second one wasn't any easier. Matter of fact, it's been a year and I get all misty when I think about it. anyway.....
  20. I have used Dr. Rose for 20 years. Her husband Mike was a farrier (and a darn good one at that) before they were married and before he became a vet. If you have a horse with foot or leg problems, there is no better than Mike. Dr. Rose is as genuine as they come. I would trust anything I have with her. If she is the one that didn't call someone back (from a post above), I can tell you that one of my phone calls got lost in their phone mail, press 1 for Dr. Rose, press 2 for Dr Mike... It really got lost and didn't route to either one of them. But of course with my impatient nature, I
  21. my adult daughter makes terrible decisions all the time and I do not let her drain my bank account; or sleep on my couch. If she chooses the things she does, she can reap the benefits of those stupid choices. I have helped her with non-monetary things such as child care and clothes for my granddaughter but that's where the line is drawn. However, occasionally she COMPLETELY DRAINS MY EMOTIONAL BANK. But at least I still have my integrity and money to pay my own bills. She's 30 and still stupid. I really don't know if she will ever grow up.
  22. I'm beginning to think that 61 is the black hole for cameras. I hope your camera finds it's home soon!
  23. did we not determine that too much of a good thing is not-so-good in the SALT topic? Come on people! Geesh....
  24. funny how living beings cannot exist without it. too much of it is bad, not enough of it is equally as bad. Studies on this are completely redundant. But hey, you got your jollies off of the topic though.
  25. and a great time was had by all. Great vendors, great speakers, AWESOME hamburgers and hotdogs.
