  1. :wub:WOW!!!!!!!!! I am sitting here tearing up as I read all of this kindness from the Pcom community. I post this Never dreaming anyone, much less all of you, would be willing to help this young lady out. Thank you!!! Her prom is April 1. Those of you that Pmed me. I will check on all that you asked me about and get back with you tomorrow, Monday, evening. I should be able to get in touch with the young lady and get answers to what you have asked me. Thank you to all of you again.
  2. I am guessing a size 6 petite
  3. I know of a young lady that has been asked to prom. Her family is having tough financial problems so going out and spending mega bucks for a prom dress is just not possible. Can anyone direct me in the right direction to either rent a prom dress or a place where she can purchase one and not break the bank. TIA
  4. I feel as if I talk to myself all day long....when I am looking at 13? kids . At least that is what it feels like most days. Seriously, I know that I talk to myself. That is how I solve most of my problems. I was raised an only child and more often than not, I was the only one that would really listen to me so I just got used to it and have never stopped. I think it drives DH insane when I am doing paperwork for work and talk to myself when I am doing it. He never knows whether to listen to me or not.
  5. My make up: Bareminerals My shoes: 1 pair of New Balance a year I pay someone to cut my hair....that is a splurge to me. I used to pay someone to put highlights in my hair once a year, but after all of the compliments that I have gotten after coloring it myself this past time...I don't think I will ever pay anyone ever again to do it for me. I get pedis but only when DH/the kids give me a gift certificate for it...usually at Christmas and my birthday. I am quickly getting into doing the coupon thing and even though DH doesn't like it, I'm buying more and more of my clothes at thrift
  6. If this is Really true, I wonder if the people that cut this program are going to come into our schools and take care all that our counselors do? The counselors at my school are AWESOME!!!!! They take care of sooo much stuff behind the scenes that no one Ever thinks about. Honestly, the politicians are the ones that need to take the paycuts...IMO.
  7. My birth father found me in May 1996 using The Locator. Troy Dunn is the founder and from what I understand, it is very expensive. They promised my dad that they could find me in an hour, he had looked for over 20 years, and it still took them over a year. My mom kept me hid VERY well. The whole story is a rather long one. The facts are that my mom had me, divorced my birth father and married my Daddy all within 9 weeks. My birth father found out about my birth via a church bulletin that was mailed to him by the church that he and my mom belonged to. My mom had raised me to be complet
  8. $5 footlongs from Subway. Sometime this week, we will be having spaghetti tacos one night and pintos/cornbread another night.
  9. DS got to work, at Imperial Palace, and texted me telling me that a crime scene unit van was at Westside Bank. Does anyone know if something happened at the bank?
  10. Does anyone know the dates of the Jr/Sr Proms for the various high schools in the county? TIA
  11. (((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I am soooo sorry for your loss. This is never an easy decision to make. All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow.
  12. I know my family would be interested in spending our money for something like this. Maybe have a jumping house/inflatable for the kiddos to have something to do...maybe a $1 or 2 a kid to jump for a certain amount of time. Shoot, through in a car show to beat.
  13. Good Morning everyone . Enjoy this wondful sunny weather and BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!! I'll be keeping me and my germs (was diagnosed with a bad case of strep on Friday) here at the house for the most part today. Even though everything I read says that I should be over the contagious part, I'm not big on sharing this kind of wealth with others (not to mention that I tire out rather quickly).
  14. My Mom will be in Heaven 29 months a week from today. She has came to me several times since her passing, although it has been a while since the last time. The only way I get through some days is thinking that God allows her to have a window into our lives so that she is not missing her grandson and youngest granddaughter growing up. She would have loved all that they are experiencing and growing into. There is no doubt in my mind that if she had still had her health and was here on earth, she would be at everything they do. Sugail you are in my prayers. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. It was over 80 degrees in my home today and I simply open up the windows and let nature cool us down. Now, it feels GREAT in the house. The only thing that could make this any better is if we were out in our pop up this weekend and I could sleep with my window unzipped to a point.
  16. My mom used to take her Rat Terrier to Dr. Fish on Powder Springs Rd in Marietta.
  17. Not sure how your husband goes to work in Kennesaw, but if he goes up Hwy 61, Hickory Heights Child Dev. Center...part of Hickory Heights Baptist Church...is Wonderful!!!!! My daughter went there from the time she was 3 months old til this past Aug. when we moved her to a daycare closer to home. We only made the move as a money savings effort....more was starting to outgo than income and we HAD to make changes. My daughter is now at the Sunshine House near the bowling Alley and we are really pleased with them. Best of luck on your search.
  18. I agree. My family and I have been there a little over a year. If you want to be active, that is not a problem.
  19. Where is this suppose to end up at...the part they have just started working on? I have been sooo busy with everything else that I haven't paid any attention to any of this. Sorry.
  20. Thanks everyone. This morning went very well. I was truly expecting the recruiter to give us a bunch of garbage and try to blow smoke up our rears but there was very little of that. I guess that I should have mentioned that DS has already taken the ASVAB and made a 83 on it. Upon talking to the recruiter this morning, we found out that DS missed auto qualifying for the NUKE program by 3 points. DS has decided that he is going Navy regardless. He is going to apply for the Navy Scholarship when the window opens up in March. He is also going to start applying for colleges this su
  21. My son is going to talk to a Navy Recruitor in the morning. He is most intersted in their Nuclear Engineering Program. Has anyone here in Pcom world been a part of this program? If so, we would like your thoughts on it. Feel free to PM if you would like. We are trying my best to make sure he gets knowledge from all perspectives and is well informed. TIA
  22. It is not just a box, that box contained about $200 worth of radio and speakers that DH put together...his own creation. Being that we have never had problems with theft before, he didn't think anything about leaving it in the blazer. Hard lesson learned.
  23. Thanks. DH called back up to the store and they did look at their cameras to see if they could see anything definite. DH is refusing to call the police and file a report...he says it is just not worth it. He is going to check around at the local pawn shops. It is the principle of it all.
