We are set to close on or before 9/30. I am going to start cleaning out and packing some tomorrow. I am sure I will still need boxes by then. Thank you Very much for the offer.

I have some tickets...$2 each if anyone needs them.

Congrats to SPHS on your win. I was impressed by your band....from a Band of Gold parent. Although Hiram lost....it was a better team in many ways than what I cheered for last week at Douglas Co. The penalities were minimal...MUCH improved.

cheap/free moving/packing boxes living room, bedroom and kitchen furniture We have been VERY blessed and have a contract on a new home. I am Extremely excited about this as we have slowly but surely dug ourselves out of the depths of doom over the last 8 years. The only problem with the new home is that we are moving from a 800 sq ft mobile home to a home that is almost double the size. It also appears that I will be having several members of DH's family over for the weekend in early Nov. I will have a 2nd den and a 4th bedroom to put turniture in as well as an eat in kitchen

To up date: I was able to deposit the check back into my checking account and obtain another one without my husband being there, being that both of our names are on the account. I had to endorse the orginal cashier's check and put that it was not used for intended purposes. Thankfully, all of this happened on my pay day so, I had the funds in my account. If it had been even a day earlier, we would have been in a mess. Mark, Yes, this is a forclosure that we are purchasing.

I have a cashier's check that has my husband's name listed as purchaser. The check is made out to the real estate agency that has been helping us look for a home. The check was to be used as earnest money. We put a contract on a house today. The seller is now saying that the check has to be made out to the closing attorney. Can I go to the bank, that it was purchased from, and exchange it tomorrow without my husband being with me?

Thanks for these Wonderful ideas. Please keep them coming. My family has fallen in love with the Ragu cheesy alfredo sauce. I cut up sone chicken breasts into nuggests, and cook some no yolk noodles...mix it all together until the sauce gets warm....add come shredded cheese to thinken it up. This could Easily be done in the crock pot.

Thanks everyone. Fortunately, the one thing my husband does not have to worry about is his weight. He has lost 120 pounds over the last 5 years. RhondaW, my husband was put out of the tractor trailor the day before our youngest was due a little over 5 yrs ago due to his diabetes. I will wlecome any help and suggestions that I can get.

Thanks. Unfortunately, he has a HORRIBLE sweet tooth and doesn't like change.

What is a good resouce for diabetes information.....recipes, foods to eat/avoid, etc? I need good precise information without all the fluff to weed through. I simply do not have time for all of that with all that is going on with my kids right now, school starting, and the fact that Dh's diabetes (that he has not taken care of for the last 10 yrs) is Completely out of control. Please no lectures on what he should be doing or how bad of a wife I am for not having him in the ER right now. I already know all that. I am trying to transition an almost 50 yo man into a new way of life wi

Other than that, I will be taking care of DH until the drs decide that they want to remove his gallbladder.....just as I go back to work after having the summer off. You know my admin is just going to looovvve that.

DH worked nights for the first 11 years that we were married. He finally went to days this past Jan.. I found that I went to bed about the time he went to work. It just made it easier. The hardest part for us what only having 1 day of family time, but we made the most of it. I looked at it this way......working nights was better than him being unemployed and than him driving over the road (which he was doing when we met).

My boy took the Navy Nuke today and passed :clapping: :clapping: :yahoo: :yahoo: . He is soooo excited and DH and I are soooo proud of him it is not funny. He missed auto qualifying for it on the ASVAB by 3 points so we were not at all surprised to hear that he passed the actual test. DS just informed me that he is thinking seriously about opting out of even trying for the Navy ROTC Schoarship that he was going to try for and go into the Navy after graduation next Spring as a Nuke. I have mixed feelings about that, but it is his choice. I can see both sides of this situation.

When my mom was alive and spending a lot of time at Kennestone Hospital, several of the nurses and other staff there told us that they plan on transferint out to the new hospital as soon as it opens. Most of them live out this way and are looking forward to moving closer to home. I use dr.s/imaging center at the facility on Bill Carruth when ever possible. It saves gas and time. I think this will be a Wonderful thing for Paulding Co.. With more people working out here, then more money will be spent at the businesses out here as well.
