Thank you both. No, it is not bruised. The worst part about all of this is that I do almost everything with my left hand...other than write. The rest part is probably the hardest part. I am not crazy enough to go out in this mess....that you do not have to worry about. I will say that this has made me make sure my first aid kit is in order once the roads clear up....no ace bandage and a sack of beans in the freezer is my ice pack. I should know better than this.

Somehow or the other, I have managed to injure my left wrist/hand. It hurts at the wrist just below my pinky however the swelling is on the top of my hand over near my thumb/pointer finger. I am taking Aleve and trying to ice it down. I can't take ibuprofen...it makes me sick. I am wondering if I need to be concerned about this or if it is characer istic of a sprang.

I Completely agree. I also wonder how this will affect the state funded Pre K programs.

We know the ones in our immediate area. One of them did stop to make sure we didn't need anything as she was heading to the store in her 4Wheel drive. The neighbor to our right saw DS out earlier and stepped out to make sure we were okay...he checked on her as well. We've been here 7 years and as we discuss moving in the next year or so, having less friendlier neighbors is one of my concerns.

I haven't seen the mail courier across the street at the mailboxes and our garbage didn't get picked up either today. I live in Dallas city limits.

I have friends that work for Publix and Target....they said both of these stores are open.

We are fine here....just down from the QT/Chatt Tech. The lines in our neighborhood are all underground but what concerns me is the lines coming into our neighborhood.

This has me concerned about some friends that live out in Temple. In a nut shell, this ice mess just scares me.

We got my ILs one like that and my fil LOVES it. He says the squirrel have completely left his bird feeder alone. He has also told us that if too many of the big black birds get on it, it will spin them off. We got his at the bird place where the American Bread Co. used to be.

I wonder how this will affect us.... we purchased a vehicle before the end of the year, it would not pass emissions...had to have a new cat converter put on it(not a cheap fix so we had to wait til I got paid to get that done), then when we tried to get the tag for it the seller had started to sign on the buyer line and scribbled it out thus now the seller is having to get a new tag and resign that one over to us. The tag on the vehicle...that is still in the seller's name is good til Feb. We have the vehicle insured in our name and the emission testing paperwork, just no title in our name ye

We went back to the regular tags this past year. DH took the educator tags off of both of our vehicles. I figure I took a paycut for this county, I still give them as many work hours (if not more than before) thus I refuse to give them anymore if I don't have to.

I just got off the phone with the 1800Krogers number. The lady I spoke to called the store manager and she told me that there are no plans at this time to close the store. I informed her that this was a rumor running rampid in the area and to expect many more calls concerning this matter. I also expressed how I felt about the thought of them closing that store. My thought is....even if they are planning on closing this store and we bombard them with calls...they could change their minds.

I completely agree...the cooperate offices do listen to the local people. The Mc D's in Dallas is proof of that. They had not planned in putting a playground back there when they rebuilt it but when the public called/e mailed them about this and voiced their concerns they changed their minds. I for one will be calling and trying to make a difference. We have PLENTY of local people that need jobs and I am sure that would be more than willing to work to clean up the store and get it back in nice shape. I can't say that I really blame the dad for what he did....but as a teacher of special needs kids....I would have asked the bus driver if he/she was going to take care of the situation and if not, then I would take it into my own hands as a parent. I tend to try to follow the rules and still get things done, BUT when it comes to my kids (special needs students or my own children) and their being bullied or such I tend to forget rules and a different person comes out. What is good to eat there? I have a gc and DH and I were going to go there on 1/15 for our 11th anniversary. The one time we have eaten there it was not a very positive experience. I would like to change that this year.

I just do not see the closing of the Kroger in Hiram as a good thing. I know quiet a few people that this will affect. Is the company going to relocate the affected employees? What is going to go into this area? This just completely STINKS!!!!!

I know you asked for a weight loss clinic but I have found success with Weight Watchers. If you do the program like you are suppose to it work Wonders. These others do have me interested though.

The price of gas has already started making changes in my household. We are spending Much more time at home and using the money we would have used for eating out and entertainment (economy stimulus) on putting gas in our tanks. I am just not happy about it all one pit. I don't see the justification for the prices to go up sooo much sooo quickly. The more the gas prices go up....the less I will spend at the stores for everything except for the necessities.

A friend of mine said that Officer Lecroy lived in Paulding County. Does anyone know if he is related to The LeCroy Gang that posts here? If so, that puts and even more personal touch for us here. Prayers being said for his family and friends.
