I know this has been asked here several times before but I can't find the topic. Does anyone have any suggestions on a seamstress in the Paulding area that does alterations on formal evening gowns? Need to have a dress taken in for my son's wedding next month. Thank you very much for any suggestions!

Austin addresses state of the county at chamber luncheon
Beach Bum replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
It was good to see you at the meeting yesterday mojo. I can only speak for myself but I try to attend the Board of Commissioners meetings whenever my schedule allows. In fact, I worked until about 8:00 p.m. on Monday night to make sure all emails were answered and phone calls were returned so that I could adjust my schedule to attend the meeting. I observed quite a few supporters as well as anti commercialization people there. It was very nice to meet Judy Horne, a fifth generation Paulding Countian, who presented an excellent, passionate speech in support of commercialization of the a -

For your reading pleasure Whitey: http://neighbornewspapers.com/view/full_story/26787459/article-Paulding-Chamber-achieves-goal-of-no-public-funding--president-says?instance=paulding#.VcS0U1shAsU.facebook An excerpt from the article: The Paulding Chamber of Commerce is not receiving any public funding for the first time in recent memory — and the organization has been working toward that goal for more than seven years, the business group’s president said. The county government sent funding totaling $90,000 through the county’s industrial building authority to the chamber in 200 -

Whitey, I'm not quite sure why you would discredit members of the Chamber. This group is comprised of individuals that are business owners, some are employees of larger companies, some are members of charities and non-profit organizations, some members are simply individuals that care about their community as well as its economic development. These people are very involved in the community and for the most part, stay apprised on what is going on in the community. Really , if you would open your eyes, you would realize there are a lot of positive things happening in our community. Is Pau -

Ditto what Rocky's Mom said Pubby - thank you for posting. It was a great meeting and the attendance was fantastic! They had to bring in more tables and chairs to set up because there were so many people. I had not been to a Chamber meeting in a while and I was amazed at the growth our Chamber has experienced - I have never seen that many people at a Chamber meeting. Obviously, our Chamber is doing something VERY right! It was refreshing to see so many people who understand and appreciate the hard work that goes into running a county. David Austin received TWO standing ovations fr -
Looks like that the Industrial Building Authority took the responsible approach upon learning of the lawsuit and terminated the contract. I have no idea what transpired as I am only vaguely familiar with these individuals involved. The only thing I know about this Music Festival is that my daughter and her family attended and they had a great time. Here are some excerpts from the Neighbor article referenced to in one of the earlier posts in this topic: The building authority approved a month-to-month contract with Turner and CelebScene in February which stated the authority wa

You could be right, maybe it was photoshopped - I don't know. If it is for real, obviously being on a "school" sign for everyone to see is not a good thing. I will say though that I consider myself a decent speller; however, I still make mistakes. I know better but I sometimes type "your" when I really mean "you're". Very embarrassing when I do this. Is that the correct spelling of embarrassing?

I'm glad you didn't have any problems. I am scared to update as I have heard some people saying it is taking an eternity to upgrade. I'm glad to hear you say it only took about 30 minutes.

I'm enjoying a wonderful Saturday afternoon with family and someone called me and told me that you might possibly be speaking about me in the above bolded portion of your post I don't mean to be presumptuous; however, if you are speaking of me, I feel obligated to clear up a few things Yes Whitey, I do consider you a friend even though you and I are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the Airport as well as various other issues If you will recall, we have also agreed on several political issues in the past and I'm sure there will be more we agree on in the future I actua

AIRPORT APPLICATION FOR COMMERCIAL SERVICE MAY BE IN ERROR
Beach Bum replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Don't have a lot of time as I have a very busy weekend ahead but I wanted to add something to this conversation. I have spoken with a tremendous number of people in Paulding County in the past few weeks concerning the commercialization of the airport. I can tell you that there are a lot more people in support of commercialization than I originally thought. We have to take into consideration that a lot of these people have jobs in surrounding counties and can't take time off from work and drive all the way from Atlanta, etc. to be able to attend Paulding Board of Commissioners meetings, -
I have only lived in an apartment at one time period in my entire life but I have an experience to share: When my husband was sent to Houston, TX to build a high rise building, I didn't have much time to find us somewhere to live. There were absolutely no houses for rent in the suburban area of Houston that we wanted to live in so I settled for an apartment complex because "it looked nice online and was right on Galveston Bay". I made several mistakes in the process by not checking the complex out completely before signing a lease. After we moved in and were not even remotely pleased, I le

The "low life, SOB, scum of the earth, loser, murderer" graduated from Red Bank High School in Chattanooga. Graduated from the same high school that a dear childhood friend of mine's children attend. I am praying for the families and friends of the victims of this senseless tragedy. Chattanooga has always been near and dear to my heart as I grew up in nearby town to the South of Chattanooga and we spent a lot of time there. I pray for peace and healing for everyone there.

My Mom has a house in the Yellow Creek part of Weiss Lake in Cedar Bluff. We used to spend most of the summers there when we were growing up and loved it! She also has 6 waterfront lots in the Blacks Bluff area of Weiss Lake that none of us children ever use. She said she might sell those if you are interested in one of them. It is a beautiful lake and very peaceful area!

I am so happy to see this today! My son and his partner of 8 years are having a huge wedding on September 12th of this year and it will now be legal! Long story short: My husband and I have 3 children, two are straight, one is gay. Two of our three children are identical twins (one of which is gay). We love all them of them unequivocally. We raised them in the same manner, loved them equally, and supported them equally. I personally have no idea why some people are gay and others are not, nor do I care. What I care about is my children being happy, well adjusted, responsible, lovi

Arthroscopic Knee Surgery for Meniscus Tear
Beach Bum replied to Blondiega1's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My neighbor down at the beach just had this done last Friday. She works from her home so she was back to work on Monday morning. She has to stay off her knee and will be on crutches for 10 days. I talked to her later in the day after she had surgery and she must have had some heavy duty pain meds - she kept saying that we better get packed because we were supposed to be meeting she and her husband in Tahiti. It was hilarious - she really thought she was in Tahiti! Hope you do well with the surgery and have a quick recovery blondie! -
