  1. According to statements from the 18 year old son, Mr. Hamment didn't even own a gun. Do you think just maybe the cops shot an unarmed man?
  2. I still think the wildcard in this election is the media. The media portrays Romney as evil, rich and arrogant and those same media outlets portray Obama as standing up for the blue collar working class, the poor & the elderly. Rich man vs. poor man. Bottom line... Folks who already like Obama will vote for Obama. Folks who already liked Romney will vote for Romney. I still think Obama will win. We'll just have to wait and see.
  3. Romney or Obama? Who do you think won and what did you think of the format of the debate and the moderator? I personally think the format favored President Obama.
  4. My son (a junior at SPSU) said the SWAT team was checking out a possible shooting, but they apparently couldn't find a victim or a gunman. The ALL Clear was given and he had to go back to class. That was a little before 8:00 Edited: Someone apparently was shot and was able to drive himself to the hospital. No gunman was found and police are still investigating the incident.
  5. The republicans won't be happy until we're all working for scraps. In the 1930's, My grandpa worked in a mill in Hogansville, Georgia 6 days a week, 10-12 hours a day. Many on this board want us to go back to the 1930's. I vote Union yes! (in case you didn't know)
  6. Well I took it to a real mechanic (after all of the friendly advice) and I found out the head gasket is not blown. It is leaking on top of the motor in the intake area and draining down onto the exhaust causing the antifreeze to smoke and smell. The heater hose quick connect where it screws into the intake is cracked and leaking. So instead of a $1200.00 repair, I'm looking in the neighborhood of $175.00. So I do feel a lot better now... But I'd like to thank all of the pcom folks for friendly advice.
  7. It's definitely leaking from the head and not a hose. I suspect to pull the heads off and get it fixed at a shop will be approx $1,000. Maybe less or maybe more, but in either case, Would it be best to give it a quick fix and sell the truck? I mean I just don't want to put a lot of money into a 15 year old truck. I've been adding water every couple of days for at least two months now and I'm afraid to sink a lot of money into it and then something else go wrong. I just don't really know what to do...
  8. I have a 1998 chevy truck. 4.3 v6 motor. I have been adding about 1/2 gallon of water every day. Water doesn't appear to be leaking into the oil, but I can see water is leaking out the side of the engine and running down onto the ground. the head doesn't appear to be cracked but it looks like the head gasket is blown. I have been on the autozone web site and it looks like there's a sealant that's 95% guaranteed to fix the blown head gasket. Has anyone used Blue Devil Head Gasket Sealant? It's 64.99 per bottle. I've never used the stuff and was just wondering if anyone out there has ha
  9. My wife and I attended on Saturday and had a great time. A couple of kids from our church were all dressed up and one of the girls was a "Bad Girl" and was in one of the shootouts. It was really a great event and a lot of fun.
  10. Kids do better in the long run to learn how to handle their own problems. Snitching to a teacher and or principal won't work when school's not in session... A lot of folks on this board know how I feel about snitches... snitches get stitches
  11. The Paulding County Board of Commissioners will let citizens vote in March on the issue of Sunday Alcohol Sales in the unincorporated area of the county. I suspect this will be approved by a wide margin.
  12. going to Lucky Draw to get a new tattoo?
  13. I need some Maalox..... The Dawgs are getting whipped 21-0 in the 1st quarter.... I may need to revise my prediction of a close game.
  14. http://www.thepolkfishwrap.com/view/full_story/20371628/article-Police--Armed-robber-took-hostage-from-Cedartown-store?instance=home_news_lead_story CEDARTOWN — Cedartown police were still investigating an armed robbery Thursday night that occurred at Fred’s on North Main Street, according to Cedartown Assistant Police Chief Jamie Newsome. According to Newsome: Kelly Jack Mayo, 45, of Fort Payne, Ala., was charged with felony armed robbery and felony kidnapping after he allegedly attempted to rob the store at 550 N. Main St. and then took a hostage in an attempt to escape.
  15. Excellent news. The judge denied bond. I'd like to be on the jury that sends these scum sucking maggots to prison.
  16. I love it when Steve Spurrier throws his visor down and then stomps around all disgusted then goes and picks his visor back up again...
  17. Bond denied by Judge Martin Valbuena!
  18. The court adjourned at 12:10 p.m. and planned to return at 1:30 p.m.
  19. http://blogs.ajc.com/jeff-schultz-blog/2012/10/04/predictions-dogs-over-darth-rooster-falcons-over-skins/?cxntfid=blogs_jeff_schultz_blog The AJC is predicting a Georgia victory, but I'm not so sure I agree. The Dogs defense gave up 44 points to Tennessee and the ol' ball coach Spurrier sure has a good track record against Georgia. While I'll be pulling for the Dawgs, I look for the Ol' Ball Coach to put up a good fight. My prediction: Gamecocks 27 Dawgs 21 Discuss -
  20. Last time I saw her, she was on Bobo Road near Macland Road. She had a hickory switch in her hand and she was shouting at passing cars.
  21. You have a lot to learn kid. School staff have the authority to search any student on campus for drugs, weapons, etc. Trust me, we learned the hard way. Also, speaking of learning, there is a difference between principles and principals. Put away your little cell phone and pick up a dictionary. You might just learn a thing or two.
