  1. He either took or was going to take the kids to the Ga Aquarium, but never brought them back home. (Heard it on WSB on the way home)
  2. How did this turn out? Did you find the owner of the goat? If it is a baby goat - it would still be nursing (by bottle) - if older - it would need hay and some feed. Hope you found its owner!
  3. This is my "year of firsts" since I lost my Dad in March. I am having trouble whenever "Have yourself a merry little Christmas" comes on. The part about "through the years - we all will be together --- if the fates allow..." just tears me up. I haven't really decorated a lot this year. It just doesn't feel right. We did get a tree and I have a few things up - I know Dad wouldn't want me not to celebrate Christmas, but I'm just trying to keep it all low key.
  4. Looks like the pawn shop on Cedarcrest might have one for sale Person Shot
  5. Not yet, but I've had one making the rounds with the agents. I may try ebook publishing if the normal route doesn't pan out!
  6. I've been trying to figure this out..... Why would you have the hitman kill the person at YOUR house? Inside - outside --- doesn't matter --- wouldn't you want to be as far away from the situation as possible? She obviously didn't watch enough CSI! <--- I think I go through these scenarios in my mind because I write mysteries. Even my characters wouldn't do something that stupid!
  7. Perhaps you should walk a mile in someone's shoes before you call them lazy or start making smart remarks when you have no clue as to what they are really all about. The part of the story that you have not heard and that Wendy hasn't mentioned is that she has been sick since Thanksgiving and is still recovering from that. Her and her family also just recently had to put their oldest dog to sleep. She did not bring a stray dog home lightly or on a whim, she did it to save its life because that is the type of person she is. She also did this on a Saturday, so taking it to the shelter wasn't
  8. Big thanks to Disneyfan for mentioning the lights on Friendship Church Road! They were great!!!! You can park on the side and walk around the yard. Really, really nice!!!!!
  9. Baking soda and vinegar are great for cleaning sinks and toilets. Pour in the baking soda, pour in the vinegar - watch it go!
  10. I was up at Food Depot when they flew by. I'm not sure how many vehicles, but it was a lot. I thought it was probably a bad car accident.
  11. Christmas Shoes. Yeah, that one will really put you in the Christmas spirit!
  12. Found what appears to be a female Shih Tzu tonight wandering on the road where Hiram Sudie and Davis Mill meet. Appears to be well-kept so I'm sure someone is missing her. I will try to get a picture and post tomorrow. Will also try to get her up to the vet to see if she has a chip. Please PM me if she is yours! UPDATE: I can't figure out how (or if you can) change the title - but dog and owner have been reunited! Dog and owner have been reunited so we are closing this topic.
  13. in and out in about 5 minutes at 3:45 at PCHS --- no line there either
  14. So very sorry for your loss.
  15. Thanks for the information! I didn't know there were ebooks there too. I will have to check it out!
  16. I was wondering if any of Paulding's libraries have free WiFi? I need somewhere quiet to work and I don't think McDonald's is going to cut it.
  17. Why do I always seem to read posts about snakes just before bed?
  18. There was a sign up several months ago about someone losing their keys at White Oak. I believe they also posted a thread here. Perhaps it is in the archives?
  19. Two different houses three snakes total. One was a rat snake in the bathroom (old house). One was a small ring-neck snake in the kitchen (new house)and one was a corn snake (new house). The best thing to do is to use a broom and "herd" the snake into a fairly tall trash can. The snake will always take the path of least resistance, so the trash can will look like a good hiding place. Once you catch it - cover it up, then take it about five miles up the road, so it won't come back! I've also dealt with bats in the house too. Nothing quite like that flapping noise above your head in the d
  20. I don't know when it starts, but I did see where Reece (Reese?) gets a girlfriend this coming season. Hopefully, it won't end up the way Ducky's romance (NCIS) did!
  21. Nope, that is another writer that lives near the Walmart. She has written a ton of Harlequin romance books. Iris Johansen lives in Cobb (I think), but I believe it is on the east side. I was at an event she was at and she mentioned where she lived, but I don't remember exactly where she said.
  22. Check their food score before you go. They made the news about a month ago. Hopefully, the problem has been taken care of.
