  1. So...if I wanted to watch White Collar off of the USA website - I would open up the web page on Chrome and then I could see the show on my television? I would love to give up Directv, but can't figure out how to get SyFy, BBC, and USA, AMC which are stations that we watch a lot!
  2. Strangely fascinated with this ....has anyone ever been?
  3. VegetarianTimes.com usually has some good recipes. Keep in mind - vegetarian doesn't always mean low fat. I've known a few people who went vegan and then gained weight!
  4. William Shakespeare Edgar Allan Poe Marilyn Monroe Cary Grant Vincent Van Gogh Claude Monet Ooh, I just realized I would like to have Margaret Mitchell there too.
  5. In the spirit of the healthcare debacle... http://conservativevideos.com/2013/12/anti-obamacare-parody-song-picked-fine-time-leave-blue-shield/ btw --- I still can't get into the site, but my husband did first try. Unfortunately, the plan there is higher than what he already has, so it didn't do him any good...but....he put us on as a group...and now I can't apply until they get his application off the site.... (say..what????)
  6. I am so sorry for your loss mm12 (yours too HappyToBe). The only thing I can tell you is that the pain never goes away, but over time you will feel it less (my Dad died last year in March). If your father was in the military - I always tell everyone to have someone take photos of the flag presentation and gun salute (not the funeral - of course). It will all be a blur while it is going on and you won't remember much about it. At some point in the future (it will take you a while to be able to look at them - so don't even try (trust me!)), however, it in time it will be kind of nice to see
  7. You can also get Netflix through a smart Blu Ray player. Your father can try a month of NetFlix for free and a week of Hulu Plus for free too.
  8. I'm your first "Like!" That's no yeti! - that's a Bumble and since he hasn't eaten Ruldolph --- he's a humble Bumble!
  9. My understanding is that she set up a PayPal account so that people who feel sorry for her could make a donation to make up for the lost tip. If so --- I would say she did it for greed.
  10. Sorry about that - I was trying to text my bff and put on my mascara at the same time. They really should make those merge lanes longer....
  11. I was but a wee twinkle in my Dad's eye at the time, but I've always had a fascination with the day because Kennedy was my maiden name. My Dad was in the military and he had a few days off for Thanksgiving. He said that right after JFK got shot --- he got a phone call that the base was on high alert and he had to go back in to work. He said from that point on...there was a lot of "sit around and wait" because no one knew whether the United States was under attack or not. He said everything was just starting to settle back down and then Oswald got shot and the whole thing started all o
  12. I will buy it on Sunday and put it in the fridge. Last year, I bought it on Monday and it as still frozen on Thursday so I had to thaw it out in the sink.
  13. A friend announced she was having a 20s themed party next Halloween. My first two thoughts for an outfit were inspired by Amelia Earhart or Bonnie Parker (although it might be hard for people to figure out who Bonnie is because "Clyde" doesn't like to go to Halloween parties, so it will just be Bonnie!)
  14. I know a band that use to practice at one. They stored their equipment and a generator there.
  15. It sounds like you got hacked when you changed the password while setting up the account. When you called the number - it was actually the person that hacked you. Can you get into your primary account?
  16. There goes six and a half minutes I'll never get back. I wonder if she even knows what she's saying...
  17. What time was this shooting?
  18. What day does this sale start? Gotta make some room in the freezer ahead of time!
  19. It's used that way because although it is strongly suspected --- at the moment, what happened is inconclusive. If the reporter stated it as fact and then it turned out later on that something else happened (as in the coroner discover it was it was all an accident (not true in this case, but as an example...)) the news station could then be sued for libel or slander. Once it is established, they will start saying that she was starved, abused, etc. allegedly by her parents.
  20. I wimped out yesterday, but I'm going to try to walk today - so I know what you mean. You could join the gym near The Ark and just use their treadmill. I don't think you have to have a contract and I don't think it is very much to join. You could quit when the weather gets warmer.
  21. I switched to Kroger. I discovered that a lot of my prescriptions are on the cheap generic "list" there and I also got the points for my gas purchases.
