Once you start letting someone else manipulate your holiday plans, they will try it every time. Married couples have to pick and choose where they go every time and sometimes they choose to go nowhere and folks should respect that. Not seeing someone on the actual day of the holiday is not the end of the world.

What about the mindset of a guy who calls 911 42 times in a year? Paranoid? Delusional? Over zealous?

But you don't have the right to walk in a neighborhood without the fear of someone who finds you suspicious following and assaulting you?

Not while on the phone with 911 thinking that person is up to no good.

My common sense tells me that if someone is following me they are either a cop, or up to no good and a cop would more than likely identify themselves as such. My common sense also tells me that when I'm telling 911 that I'm following someone and they tell me to stop doing it, there's probably a valid reason for it (like someone winding up dead). My common sense also tells me not to follow somebody that's walking down the street.

The question is who was trying to dish out the street justice.

He has to be actively participating in a crime before I'd ever have to defend myself. It's no more threatening than me walking down a sidewalk in your neighborhood with some candy.
