SOOO opposed to this! Let's be honest: a child knows that he/she is fat or out-of-shape. His/her peers let them know this with their taunts and torments. Let's further humiliate children in the school setting by putting them under this level of scrutiny.

http://www.redcross.org/holidaymail Holiday Mail for Heroes Program Overview The holiday season is just around the corner and it’s time again to start thinking about being part of the 2011 American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes. For a fifth year, American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes are partnering to ensure all Americans have an opportunity to send a touch of home this holiday season to members of our U.S. military, veterans and their families, many of whom will be far away from home this holiday season. Starting this fall and throughout the holiday season, the Red Cross i

As already stated, Kaufman tire is moving there. Their lease was up at the current location (Sports Authority shopping complex) and opted to move to a better location. The site would not have been adequate for a Darden Restaurant. Not enough parking spaces.

+1000! I'm with ya, MrsB! I spend more time spitting out pecans into my napkin than actually enjoying the casserole!

LisaKW@bellsouth.net replied to greg30127's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanksgiving Day Feast at Rodney's Our New Year's Day feast has been received so well for the past 4 years that Rodney has decided to offer the same type of meal on Thanksgiving Day. For those of you who haven't enjoyed the New Year's Day event in the past let me tell you how this day will work. First Rodney personally prepares all the traditional fixings for a Thanksgiving dinner just like mama used to make. Included will be Turkey, Dressing, Baked Ham, Corn, Green Beans, Potato Salad, Sweet Potato Souffle, Brocolli Casserole, Cranberry Sauce and Giblet Gravy. And here is the thing w -

Need recipie for Mac & cheese
LisaKW@bellsouth.net replied to denisedaisy33's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm glad it was a success! I can do fancy mac & cheese (assortment of fresh grated cheeses, etc.), but sometimes simple works in a pinch! And I like the fact that it requires so few ingredients (even if one of those ingredients is velvetta! ) -

You can also back off on the amount of evaporated milk (which is why I said to add it slow). It sometimes appears "soupy", but it does become creamy/cheesy. I have also used the "generic" velvetta; at the P grocery store, you can buy the 2# block of generic for the same price as a 1# velvetta. -
How to cook a small pork loin..............
LisaKW@bellsouth.net replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
3 cloves minced garlic 1# pork loin 2 Tbsp brown sugar 1-to-2 tsp Montreal Steak Seasoning (depends on how seasoned you like it) 2 Tbsp butter About 1/2 cup sweet white wine (I like Barefoot) Melt butter into a large pan/pot. Slice pork loin into (approximately) 1" thick slices. Mix garlic, brown sugar, seasoning together. Add a splash of white wine and mix. Dip pork loin into the mixture (both sides). Place seasoned pork loin into the butter. Add white wine while cooking to the pork (not so much it swims!). Cook pork approximately 5-6 minutes each side until done. An -

Double-Billing from a Local Mexican Restaurant
LisaKW@bellsouth.net replied to LisaKW@bellsouth.net's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We also love the place; eat there regularly. And no, it was not "tip pending" - 2 identical charges, both with tip, processed through. Transactions completed/posted 1-day apart. Didn't hear back from the manager yesterday; will call again today. -
Had dinner at a local Mexican restaurant the other day (located over by Kroger at 278/Nathan Dean). Logged into my bank account this morning and had 2-charges (identical amount) from said establishment. One post has already cleared; the second will post tomorrow. Trying to get in touch with a manager now; just wanted to give you all a heads up. Accidents happen; wouldn't want it to become an epidmenic though!

Family Greek Night at Olive Tree Saturday Nov 12

I have not yet had the pleasure to dine at your restaurant, but I have to commend your establishment for the delicious food that was served at the Dallas Murder-Mystery Dinner Theatre last weekend. Everything was DELICIOUS! The only complaint I have was I never got any coffee. (In hindsight, that was probably a good thing, since Vito was such a large man and when he was cremated some of his ashes had to be stored in left-over coffee cans... ) Mangia! Mangia! -
