  1. Sorry to hear about the Sutter Home. I've actually been enjoying the Barefoot Moscato (I'm like you; I like sweet). Now I think I'd like to try the blue that you mentioned.

The teens will meet with (paulding.gov/index.aspx?nid=139) Paulding County District Attorney Dick Donovan at 2 p.m. at th
  3. I thought it was Sutter Home Bubbly Pink Moscato...? Hmmm - I checked the Sam's website: they offer the Sutter Home, Angove and Barefoot... Barefoot is not a pretty bottle, but the Angove is a little nicer looking...?
  4. Okee-dokee! I may have something to add about Russian Orthodox, too (Grandfather).
  5. Practicing (cradle) Catholic here. I can check with our Priest if I'm not good enough...
  6. Link to story: Middle schooler pierced classmate's navel 2 unused needles, 1 used needle and 13 navel rings were seized, and she wasn't going to pierce anyone else?

  8. I remember a few years ago, students who did not meet dress code requirements were issued a t-shirt for the day that said something like, "I don't know how to dress for success". I know of a few students who coveted these t-shirts and made a big joke out of wearing them; some even deliberately did not dressing properly for the day just so they would be able to wear said t-shirt...
  9. By that argument, anyone you just care about (or never met), but don't love (like your wife), their life is less valuable?
  10. It amazes me that some people are saying, "It's paint, the PARENTS can pay for the damages" or "I'd make my kid pay me back". As a parent, if my 18-yo kid damages someone's property, THEY get to pay for it. We're not talking about a 10-yo who broke the neighbor's window with a baseball! This was not an "Oops! I didn't know that paint would stick to brick!" - this was PRE-MEDITATED. Regardless if they knew that spray painting gov't property was a felony, they still knew that spray painting a building or a vehicle was WRONG. If they didn't know it was wrong, why were they w
  11. Are you sure it's really an ear ache and not a toothache? Pain in your ear can be casued by a problem with your teeth and vice versa... Just a thought! Feel better!
  12. Advisory: AVOID **H61-Winndale Rd** for the next **2-3 hours** due to traffic incident. One lane closed. Oper #4 (as of 8:20am) **Paulding County E911** advises you to AVOID **H61-Winndale Rd** due to a current traffic issue. A vehicle crash near **H61-Winndale Rd** has closed **one lane** and will require a detour of traffic for the next **2-3 hours**.
  13. Approximately 15-minutes, depending on where you are off of Old Cartersville.
  14. http://www.paulding.gov/Jobs.aspx Positions for Camp Counselors and CIT's (Junior Counselors - unpaid position) won't get posted until probably April (check their website regularly though). Camp adverstises in/around end of April. Won't need to hire counselors until the number of campers has been established. Counselor positions are typically at Taylor Farm, Mount Tabor and the new Burnt Hickory (N 61). I think they did attempt to do a camp at White Oak, but don't think they were able to get enough campers registered to make it financially feasible to run...

  16. Because that's all the information I had! Still the only information I have. If it's an on-going investigation (which I can only presume it is, since my bank said 70 of their clients where hit), the bank probably couldn't give out more info or maybe they haven't narrowed it down yet. Just be careful with your money. Go to your bank and check your balance. If it doesn't work, then you've been compromised. Sorry to be an alarmist, but I'd rather warn folks to watch their cards than have them end up losing money this close to Christmas! We usually do "debit" at the store, b
  17. The bank did not give us a specific location. I compared notes with my friend and we have in common: Wal-Mart, Target, Ross and the Race Track.
  18. WARNING! One of my friends had her VISA/ATM card compromised the other day. Figured it was "one of those unfortunate things". Today, hubs was shopping and his VISA/ATM card was declined - lit up like a Christmas tree! He went over to our bank and was told about 70 cards have been compromised in Hiram. Friend and I use different banks, so no connection there. Be careful with your cards folks! If you can, carry cash!
  19. Hi-Jack: Was talking to a co-worker on the phone the other day and her 3-yo son wanted to talk to me (this kid doesn't know me AT ALL, but at 3, well, you know). So I get on the phone with the kid and said, "Hey Timmy! Do you know who this is?" (he said no.) I said, "This is Mrs. Santa Claus!" and then proceeded to tell him that Santa had told me all about him (what he wants for Christmas, that he'd been doing good at potty-training, that he had a cold, etc.) He was so EXCITED. My co-worker was amazed that I remembered so many details about her son, but it was too sticking cute
  20. Damn! Missed it by *that* much. The clock struck midnight a few times too many to qualify!
  21. When Hubs and I switched phones (one sim card to the other), AT&T charged us for another data plan for a "new user".
