  1. I think she has submitted 2 bills, I know for sure about the shopping cart bill which I think was supposed to make it possible to arrest anyone with a shopping cart off of retail property.{Miss Jessie comes to mind} I was unable to find the one that someone told me about that had to do with animal hoarding.
  2. I don't think NJ has come out in support of her directly. I find her to be generally fair in expecting anyone challenging an incumbent that they can do better. As I said I was not attacking her, but pointing out just as I did in the original conversation that I felt it was unfair to give someone a hard time over a common generalization that our form of government is generalized as a democracy. I have a lot of respect for NJ. and like her very much. We do disagree on some issues because I am a moderate and she is further right than me, but she is an honest and good person. I have never seen he
  3. The airport had planes registered there that were paying taxes before the tornado, they were all destroyed but luckily insured. The independent little management company that was running the airport was in the black before the tornado. We also have maintenance company on the way when the hangars are rebuilt. Not sure if you have ever built your own business, but there are years of investment required to make it a success. You know all those places you shop at, eat, at, have your car repaired at, there is no such thing as an overnight success. I did not vote for the airport, but I am no
  4. You were not the only one that took issue. Quite a few people jumped on that band wagon. I am always searching for the litmus test of a true conservative, and I find a lot of confusing conflicts. It was not meant to attack you but to point out how common of an expression it is and not really a good test for conservatism. I felt that it was a common expression of people to refer to our form of Gov. as a democracy and I still stand behind that statement. I also am not really supporting any of those candidates. I just see a lot of conflicts between idealism and practice. I had just checke
  5. I just ran across something I thought interesting. One of our candidates campaigning on the site was recently raked over the coals for saying that we are a democracy. I was looking at senator Heath's site and he makes almost the same statement. Is it ok for an ultra conservative religious Senator to say it but not all right for a candidate for district 19 to say it. Our Mission Our democracy is so precious; we feel there must be a better way to make it work. Rather than electing our representatives based on money, deceptive advertising, and political posters, we feel that the Intern
  6. We have found that people that are having placement issues with the pm box are usually browsing with IE. You may want to browse P.com with mozilla, it seems to be more compatible with P.com.
  7. Being a liberal Pubby is always left in local elections to choose from conservatives. He has know Mr. Curruth for many years, which I am sure has something to do with his support. I had always been pretty neutral about Mr. Heath and my assumption was that Pubby's dislike was do to Heath's appearance of ultra conservatism. Pubby explained to me that Mr. Heath had run one of the dirtiest campaigns that he had ever seen against Mason Rountree. You have known Pubby a long time, he loves politics and can get rough in a debate for sure, but he is always honest. Someone that claims they should be e
  8. Not only that we are recovering sewer there. Much of our prime sewer and water in the county went to homes that are worth about a 1/4 of what they were. The rest of it went to retail. We have the opportunity to put some better businesses along this much needed stretch of road. The road had been planned a while ago, before the housing market failed. The land had gone back to the bank and was never developed. Many larger businesses absolutely must have sewer to operate.
  9. But you have issue with someone's experience in the industry being part of making it a success. There is definitely going to have to be money spent out there. Who should sit on the board? an auto mechanic? I get the impression that some want to see it fail, or are they a little worried about who is making money on it? Of course I am being coy, we know exactly what some want, is Heidi going to make sure that a few folks get what they want?
  10. That is because they are getting so dang expensive!!! It cost about 100 dollars an hour to keep it going. Same thing with the big expensive firework shows, people struggling have issues with cities and towns spending 50,000 and over for a 1 hour show.
  11. Well if you don't have the money to live on your own, then you should not be using your low rent privacy to commit an act that might end up with you reproducing. You friend should do society a favor and kick him to the curb before he inflicts his genetics on to society. Feel free to share this with your friend, hopefully she will do the responsible thing.
  12. Hide the large dogs and goats
  13. You are absolutely right, the more you coddle them the more you assure them that they are having the right reaction to the noise.
  14. Do you think that she will make sure the airport that is hated will be a failure?
  15. I will be by to get a slab this afternoon. I don't like fooling with ribs so this works great for me. I remember how fast you sold out at the Paulding cooks for charity event so I know my family will love them!
  16. Just so you know that airport does not have the capability to become a Hartsville. It will always be just what it is a small corporate airport. Small corporate jets and hobbyist. We have fewer subdivisions out that way and fewer residents to be disturbed by bringing light industrial there. The point of Mr. Carmicheal sitting on the board is to make the airport successful. As you pointed out I have not been around long enough to know how the city of Atlanta came to own that land. I assume that as long as they own it there will always be a chance they would develop something on it,
  17. Mrnn it resonated with me also, I understood his point. If you take the lottery and benefits away tomorrow these parents will still place their vices above the kids. Every kid that takes advantage and rises above it is worth everything sacrificed by those that know better. Educating our society has made America great. Our example has made other nations great when they imitate it, people come from all over the world to educate themselves in the greatest universities on the planet. They take the knowledge back to their own countries and improve the quality of life for their people. We can't do
  18. I have met both candidates, Heidi has been an acquaintance in passing for many years. I don't know too much about what she has been doing lately, she is a very nice person. I have seen Dave in passing over the years, he is well acquainted with my husband and I have seen him at the airport authority meetings. I know that he takes serving his community very seriously. I was surprised to hear all his qualifications during our meeting and interview, he is a humble man. I look at everyone of the races in the exact same light friend or not. We have some nice folks running for office in

It is good to see you! I haven't had a kiss in forever!!
  20. Nope, scared to death of the karma train, it is all seeing, you never get away with anything, just like dropping a stone it is gonna hit the ground no matter how long it takes to get there.
  21. Shut yo mouth, you stay away from Sam for as long as possible. I believe relieving congestion on 92 at the rail road tracks is a priority. I believe this has to do with better access I-20 From what I understand our local tsplost is doing pretty good and this is not as critical for us as some of the others.. Our local politicians have not put us in the position of this making or breaking us. Our list is more of a wish list as every county produced one. Our list will progress as our existing tsplost begins to pay off. We would do just as well to create public service mailer to help peop
  22. But doesn't this make us more independent of the feds and give more control at the state level which Republicans and tea party folks stump around about? This is why I never quite understand the republicans and ultra right. They ask for something and when it cost them something they raise holy hell. They swagger around talking about how they don't need the government, then try to use it for some personal benefit when it suits them. Start taking away services and they will squeal, I remember the last snow storm, folks in Atlanta couldn't move for days, they wanted more snow removal equipme
  23. Whitey everyone that currently holds office is for the Tsplost unless they are up for re-election then they are not. You gonna vote for chicken cheezes or soon to be be chicken cheezes. Just think how much faster Sam can come to get you on the new four lanes in Paulding Ya know if they can suck enough out of the young working folks they might leave us old folks alone.
  24. oh no Pubby ! I am trying to get a do over on that one and scheduling with Heidi and some other candidates before the election now we have the virus off the studio computer. The virus corrupted a lot of our video folks. I am trying to show every candidate in their best light and the corrupted video is just horrible.
