  1. I would like to discuss it also, I like discussing things with NJ even though we often have different points of view, but every time I post in it, someone insults me or calls me a name. I am sure other people don't want to find themselves in my shoes.
  2. Why didn't you call I am getting ready to head down there in a minute.
  3. You are wrong, you insult almost everyone that post in this thread or try to discuss. We are being unfair to everyone that wants to discuss the issue. If you want to discuss fine, if you want to continue to insult, attack and name call you are going to force our hand. And as you always claim it will be because p.com is liberal and you are conservative. So before it happens I am going to let everyone know that we welcome all points of view, we like discussion and even debate. We don't like rude and obnoxious personal attacks and insults. We want everyone to participate without fear of being
  4. PF, your personal attacks are wearing the patience of myself and the mods very thin.
  5. I am serious I will take bids on it, in true republican style I can find a way to make lemonade. Your so fond of teeth gnashing, your going to grind yours to a nub over this healthcare bill.
  6. Those are good, especially the one by Barbara Bush.
  7. If you don't have anymore to contribute to the discussion than 2 liners directed at what you assume is some huge audience of liberals you are talking to through p.com I think you should give p.com a break and call 1-800 Rush Limbaugh, he also likes to pretend that he has a huge audience of liberals listening to his rants. We could always give you your own forum to rant at liberals, then everyone could type ditto in response to your rants. We could also move all your little pictures and 2 liners there for folks to visit and be entertained. We will see just how good you are if I can sel
  8. Thanks a lot I went from tingly to nauseous!
  9. Oh please you go around labeling people liberal so your can spew you rhetoric, turn the radio off and get a life already.
  10. I feel sorry for the folks that think Romney is going to stop this. Your going to be very disappointed.
  11. I am a realist, wishing things were different does not solve anything. 10 years ago when the poor were struggling with healthcare the middle class couldn't care less, now the middle class is crying and now we are supposed to care? it didn't need fixing until the middle class couldn't afford it. The train of indifference has pulled into the station. You never fought for affordable healthcare when the lower classes couldn't afford it, if you had fought for them 1/2 as hard as you are this we wouldn't be here today discussing this.
  12. Oh please, the lobbyist will make sure there is plenty of lemon aid.
  13. "Today's decision by the Supreme Court is certainly a monumental ruling in American history. From the healthcare perspective, we believe this will result in hospitals and health systems increasing their range of services to meet the demands of the Act. In order to survive and prosper, it will be critical to have all the necessary acute and non-acute components for complete patient care. Fortunately, WellStar Health System is well positioned as it has been moving down this path for the past several years. We will be analyzing the new requirements once all of the mandate regulations are announce
  14. Did I miss were the premium rates had already been set?
  15. Obama has to go, there in no other choice. But this will stay like it or not. Companies are going to eat it up. It always comes down to the bottom line of the big companies, they are rubbing their greedy little hands together as they prepare to pay 100% of the gov. premium for healthcare.
  16. I absolutely agree with that, government involvement has raised the cost of education and severely effected wages through welfare. Regulation has become a way to inflate profits for select companies and industries.
  17. Hopefully it will force private insurance to compete with the Gov. premium rate, and with a little tweaking remove the middleman and bureaucracy from between the patient and the provider. No more big bonuses for denying procedures and meds to patients. There will be changes as this is applied and practiced. Quite honestly I believe this is why it stood. This is the first painful step to solving the problem. Nothing less dramatic would have worked. Medical is not like cars, houses and furniture it is more like selling the air one breathes to the highest bidder. We have the most inhumane me
  18. Actually medicare and medicaid will not allow people to pay a premium even if they can afford it. Many people give up part time work, homes, cars and other assets to save their lives when serious medical treatment is needed. This allows lower income people to contribute as much as they can to the system instead living off of it.
  19. They are taking the money on the table nobody would touch because it wasn't enough. It is a well known fact that billions of dollars for healthcare is sitting on the table from people that can pay a low premium for insurance. They don't make enough money to live on and pay the outrageous premiums, co-pays and deductibles. The same goes for many small companies that can afford to pay 1/2 of insurance for employees if the premiums were reasonable. They gambled with people's lives on the all or nothing strategy, they lost.
  20. The most important thing is the county owns the land and we are not going to provide infrastructure for more housing developments and retail space. The companies coming in the will pay good wages. You may have retail pop up on the edges to serve the people working there but that will probably be later. The world class developer is just part of the red carpet we are rolling out to world class companies to come here.
  21. I found this article interesting. It is not going to be bad having movies made in Paulding. Link to story. By LIZ BIBB — lbibb@macon.com The filming of scenes for the Jackie Robinson biopic “42” pumped a massive amount of money into the Macon and Bibb County economy. During its 18 days in Macon and Bibb County earlier this month, the movie’s cast and crew spent between $1.4 million and $2 million, according to the Georgia Department of Economic Development. More than 1,000 extras were part of the filming, about 500 of whom were from the Atlanta area, according to the release.
  22. I have made some great friends at the lunches and patio parties. I have not had any issues with people getting in other peoples business. The old timers like Lowrider and Lady Raider are gun shy because of the stuff that went on way back. I have had good experiences with all the p.com folks I have met. I have not seen you in a while, it would be good to plan something soon.
  23. I need chest hair, watching him dance made me feel like a pedophile, I guess my age is showing
  24. It seemed like a lot of sugar to me. I am not a fan of sugar on carrots or sweet potatoes like a lot of people.
