I loved this dish when I lived in Conn. someone almost always brought to pot luck dinners. For some reason I have been thinking about it lately and I am going to try to make it myself. Here is the recipe I got off of the internet, I never knew it had tomato soup in it. If you have made it before would you look over the recipe and see if it is the way you have had it. COPPER CARROT PENNIES 2 lbs. carrots, sliced 1 med. onion, sliced thinly 1/2 c. salad oil 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 sm. green pepper, thinly sliced 1 can tomato soup 3/4 c. vinegar 1 tsp. prepar

The good ole days were wonderful when people would innocently go to a meet and greet, then people would use personal info gleaned there to take things off this board and get people fired. I can sure tell how much the local businesses miss vindictive customers using p.com to destroy their business. Pubby and crew are not the least bit sorry to see rude, vindictive and just plain nasty people have moved on. Drama may be entertaining on tv, but when you are hurting people that is something else. We didn't run any nice people off. Hateful people ran nice people off. You don't see folks

I will check out the park up here in Burnt Hickory for a pavilion, 4g for pubby. I vote mid September around 6pm, it will start cooling down quickly and I would be willing to bet because the elevation we will have a breeze by that time. We almost always have breeze up here.

Yeah! it's finally up!! I have wanted to do this interview for a very long time. I have been fascinated with Jamie Gilbert's job from the first day I heard him speak publicly. Many of the terms he talks about in the interview can be complicated and it took some effort to help me understand much of it. I felt like if Jamie could help me understand then he could also do that for the people of Paulding. It has been a few very rough years for the small business owners, many have closed their doors, there was a time when failure meant you simply went back to work for someone else. That is not

I was very upset about mine, it combined my p.com screen name and my real name. I am not sure how or why that happened.

Curious about "Cottonfield Plaza" area/strip in Hiram, where mill is
LPPT replied to wenfen's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The place would make a wonderful event hall if someone wanted to do something nice with it. It is very rustic and scenic. I loved it and always thought it would work well as a comedy place only open on the weekends. The economy is not very favorable to either one of those things now, but in the future it would work great. -

She owes what to me is a scary amount of money, that is why I can't understand the amount of time, energy, and money being invested in something that pays so little. I would think if she were going to invest this much she would at least see a sizable return for the effort. If she doesn't get enough campaign donations to cover this loan to her campaign she is on the hook for it to come out of business or her personal funds. I don't understand how she has money to loan a campaign, yet not pay xerox and the attorneys. I just does not make sense to me, this is a huge risk. I am sure xerox ha

The IRS doesn't really want your property, they prefer you set up a payment plan, which I am sure she has done. The biggest problem is xerox, they want their money. I don't think her position gives her wiggle room, usually lawyers do that and it is expensive to get them to do it. Then you end up going further in debt from the lawyers fees. It just seems like a mountain of debt to climb, and seems the job does not pay enough to help her out much. It could be she simply likes serving, she did serve on the school board and now this.

That makes sense, but can you work at another job during the 40 days? I have no idea how many hours a day they work during that time. This is not the first time I have wondered how people manage their full time job and the duties of the office.

I have to say I am very disappointed with a few people making remarks about Mrs. Braddock's appearance. That is a very low blow and should not even be part of the discussion. She has had a few very disappointing years. I know a lot of us were doing well, many figured that if things kept going the way they were that they could pay the taxes next year, then the recession hit. Many people had to change course. Many people had to file bankruptcy. Which generally went through according to your assets. I know a lot of people had to return to working for someone else to pay the bills.

I hope my sarcasm was apparent.

I always thought that when you use a company or county credit card you have to keep an expense sheet showing what you purchased and why. Is there one of these and can it be seen with an open records request? If anything I am going to upset if David is taking the representatives of large companies and other high ranking government people out to lunch at McDonalds. Now on the other hand if he is stopping at McDonalds for lunch and dinner maybe when he goes to the capital or has meetings in Macon or Savannah, he needs to start brown bagging it.

MG International expansion to mean 30 new jobs in 2013
LPPT replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes we do, for about 1 year now, Paulding is just now getting into economic development. Some people have issue with it because it's not free to have someone look at your county, decide what it has going for it, package it and travel all over the country to sell it to large businesses. Many are saying existing and small business are being left behind in these efforts and it simply is not true. The location of MGI that has been here for years happens to be an industrial area well suited for an opportunity zone. they would have been stupid not to take advantage of it. The county, the ci -

Maybe the MGI folks will form a union, you k ow for better pay, better working conditions and benefits. I had a conversation with a candidate a few weeks that said all those folks working for minimum wage on 278 were thankful to have a job. This is Georgia, that has some of the shortest unemployment benefits. What do you think that is for but to force people in to low wage jobs and make us more attractive to low paying companies. You can't have it both ways. Nobody complains about new retail and restaurant sucking up sewer and paying minimum wages. You will find when we get more light -

Melissa Morrison for State House District 19
LPPT replied to Melissa Morrison District 19's topic in Paulding County NEWS
My issue was not about candidates supporting it, as much as I saw bureaucracy and spending all over it, when the power to stop it has been in our hands from day one. It is not illegal for the public to profile them and ask that LE come check their credentials, it is a feel good look we are doing something. If the American people really wanted them gone they would have already been gone. I might be inclined to vote with someone that called a spade a spade, but that is not how it's done. There is no choice but to vote for this bill, your constituents will claim that you don't want to -

LPPT replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
We don't count hits, we count visits. Last I checked the average visit was about 8 minutes, of course stats change from month to month. David was given just as hard of a time as a no show. As far as what goes on here, go to any news outlet that has a remark section on the site, what is said on here is very mild. Some believe that we should control people's comments according to their own agenda. We haven't tried to shut you up, no matter how ugly you talk about us. -

We are seeing really good balance with economic development, long time businesses aren't being pushed out but given plenty of opportunity grow. We all wish it would happen overnight. Every brick builds the foundation for a solid economy. We are showing the world that business is welcome in Paulding.
