  1. You people need to keep up. The Tea Party in Georgia has been replaced by an organization called AFP. They now call the shots in Georgia on who is Republican enough. They have put together and published a report card. I will link you to the report card in a moment, but I wish to assist you in understanding the report card. You will see a legend above the report, take the time to read the legend. The AFP has listed the housebills that their organization supports. The grades point to those that supported these bills an A+ means that your legislature voted the way AFP told them to on all o
  2. Read Article Here Lamar Smith Looking To Sneak Through SOPA In Bits & Pieces, Starting With Expanding Hollywood's Global Police Force from the learned-anything? dept While it didn't get nearly as much attention as other parts of SOPA, one section in the bill that greatly concerned us was the massive expansion of the diplomatic corp.'s "IP attaches." If you're unfamiliar with the program, basically IP attaches are "diplomats" (and I use the term loosely) who go around the globe pushing a copyright maximalist position on pretty much every other country. Their role is not to support
  3. A technicality does not absolve someone of wrong doing. It only stops the hearing of the evidence in the court.
  4. I disagree with you, Mr. Rogers can learn how to be a legislator. I have yet to see anyone unlearn how to be a shmuck.
  5. The state legislature has unfairly robbed us of the taxes that we paid in for roads and improvements. I have said it time and again that even if they weren't giving those that can afford to pay the taxes all the breaks, the lions share would once again go to Atlanta and Marietta. The regional splost gives us the money and the control and cuts out the feds and the big metros. Ask anyone from the State of New York how those outside of the city were perpetually short changed when they paid state taxes. We need to concentrate on our list for us, that money comes right back to the county in mor
  6. Since you know so much about it, someone told me that county employees across the board got a raise just before the election. We were already in pretty bad shape at that point. You hear all sorts of things during an election, I was just curious if this is a rumor or the truth.
  7. OOh let me check, I must have been downstairs we are taping.
  8. We got a gully washer here at the p.com office. Lights blinked a few times.
  9. To the school board or to the schools, I saw an article that showed we are doing very well in the cost per student dollars. I am not sure how that effects our national ranking. There may be some correlation between national ranking and cost per student.
  10. I don't know much about that, are there articles somewhere to learn more about it?
  11. Multiple liens require multiple plans, Is someone paying on all the plans? and quite frankly it makes a difference to me if the plans and payments were started after the complaint to the Secretary of state. I am not sure if the Secretary of State does the research itself on these, or if the burden of proof is on the complainant or the candidate.
  12. He still takes quite the interest in county politics
  13. Sure it does! you have earned some extra Bewbie Hugs
  14. I am sure all the people that made money from his indulgences were glad to get it. At least he didn't take all the money Americans gave him and invest it all over seas.
  15. Ok I found it, this gives a pretty good explanation of the history and what the current status is. Pubby knows a little more than I do about the period of time or when it got shelved and why.
  16. Let me see if I can find the video, he started work on it after he was elected.
  17. That is as valid of an objection as any. I think the most valid is plain and simple it is a tax. We have every right to object to any tax levied against us. I know that the taxes I pay on fuel are being shared federally, I don't particularly care for that. I would rather my money stay in my local economy. I also have issue with sharing my school tax dollars with communities that don't care enough for education to put it first when it comes to taxation. There really are lots of reasons to object to any tax. I mean really some actually get away with just refusing to pay them. I wonder how t
  18. Actually it has been worked on the last few years, what we are getting is updates about the progress of it. We have a video in the archives that goes into a lot of detail about the history of it being shelved and resurrected and the cost associated with having done that.

    Im excited!

You will love it, Brenda is a wonderful person.
  20. Duh, this needed to be done, everyone knows it needed to be done, yet they would hold it against David and everyone knows that. I respect them for doing it. But they still have to vote on it. I listened to the videos of the department heads last year when they were scared that they were being cut beyond the ability to function properly. We are all making tough budget decisions in our personal lives also, it doesn't make sense to unplug the refrigerator to save on electricity and ruin all the food.
  21. How did that happen? did you appeal it? I know this is very unpopular, but it is over due the current commissioners have done an excellent job with the budget. They have cut and cut and cut. Their is little or no waste in our county budget and if they will promise to apply all of this increase to wages for fire and LE I will support them on it. These men and women put their lives on the line and their families make huge sacrifices. On top of that it is not fair for the tax payers to pay for the training of many of these people then lose the investment when they understandably move to count
  22. Sometimes I am so dense, now I get it, a lot of people are against tax breaks for businesses. Oh well they just pass the cost on to you anyway.
  23. I don't blame them, the way this bill was written it did nothing to reduce the cost of doing business for doctors and insurance companies are set to rape them. It should have been left alone or been done single payer. I have trouble discussing the subject because I am so angry about the way this was done. There is no doubt we needed reform, but this is nothing but a pyramid scheme to benefit insurance companies.
  24. This whole thing was a mess from day one, I would say the wish list part was a big killer. Then not reducing fuel tax or promising not to raise it. it makes one wonder what some people were thinking.
  25. Here is my answer to the problem. One should teach one's daughter to never commit an act that might result in reproduction with any man of any age that does not have his defecation together. This is the number one reason that young men of this age do not have it together, not the parents of the young men that allow them to wallow around until 30 but the parents of the young women that don't teach them any better. Men need more motivation and this motivates almost everything they do.
