  1. OH WOW, PUBBY!! That seems like a lifetime ago. Guess it was because he was a HS Junior when he was Aladdin. Thank you for sharing....Sweet Memories!!!!!
  2. Very True. I've told him since he started in this crazy entertainment business that "as long as you can make a living doing what you have a passion for you are a step ahead of the rest of us who just have a job for a paycheck." He has been fortunate to do so since he was 16 yrs old.
  3. about being a PROUD MOMMA and letting y'all know Wade had received a contract from Royal Caribbean??? Well, that was April 2013 and that journey is coming to an end. I just talked to him for the last time from Vision of the Seas and he will be back in the USA tomorrow and land in Atlanta tomorrow night at midnight. Can you see the smile on this proud Momma's face through the screen??? His arms around me will be the BEST medicine I could have.; In the past 9 months he has made multiple visits to: Denmark Russia Sweden The Artic Circle Ireland Norway Germany Estonia Aruba Columbia
  4. YES they are GREAT!! Actually our neighbor picked up wings this evening from there and DH had them for dinner. BTW, she passed many wing places between Dallas and Ridge Road but definitely worth the drive.
  5. I can relate after almost a month in the hospital, Surepip. The only prob is the thrush mouth is so bad from all the antibiotics nothing taste right. I LOVED frog legs as a child but one trip with my Daddy frog gigging was one too many.
  6. THANK YOU......AGAIN!!! Your love and support mean more than you could ever know! Thank You Dana and momof3 for your sweet offer. I am feeling much better, just weak and slow getting around. I had a follow-up appointment today and my BP was good so I got a good report. I am praying it stays that way!!!
  7. I want to THANK everyone for the thoughts, prayers, kind wishes, good vibes and comments during the past month. It started out as a brain bleed early the morning of Jan, 7th. Although I knew what had happened after having 2 strokes in 2008 my brain was not functioning to let me wake Doug to let him know. SCARY!!! Fast forward to 18 days in Kennestone Hospital with treatment for the brain bleed and a bout of a severe UTI making me deathly ill along with issues with my blood pressure spiking, dropping, spiking, etc and same with blood sugar. I finally recovered and was transferred to rehab.
  8. Stereotype statement that is not earned by most Marta riders. A friend is the Vice President for one of the largest banks in Downtown Atlanta. She is FAR from poor but rides MARTA everyday. It is a lot more convenient, she can read and relax during the ride and not worry about her Jaguar being hit while driving in that CRAZY traffic. I know a lot of people who drive from Paulding to the Holmes MARTA station to ride to ballgames, concerts, etc. As someone else said to park in downtown is RIDICULOUS plus it is just easier to ride MARTA In other words don't lump all the MARTA drivers in the s
  9. The fingernails were clipped or pulled off (according to at least one news report) to eliminate any possible DNA underneath them. The organs were harvested and sold. A lot of people are on a very LONG waiting list and would purchase organs at any cost to stay alive. BUT, they have to be removed by medical personal and not just cut out. Then, they have to be treated in such a way to stay alive in a sleeping state until transplanted. No layperson can do this. The carpet shown on the news is wrapped tightly. I don't see how a child could squeeze in it much less a large size teen-ager.
  10. We have mostly gone to Carrollton with success. Short wait and nice employees. One time we walked in and it was packed out. The lady at the front desk said the wait was minimum 2 hrs so we left. When we returned the next week it was a breeze. The few times family members have gone to Cedartown there was a longer wait. I have always avoided Marietta bc every time I've driven by there it's had a long, long line outside. My daughter has to go tomorrow bc her b'day is Monday. She is dreading it bc she was divorced this year and took back her maiden name. She has her certified birth certificat
  11. I do not know. We were at a friends watching the Bama game and got a phone call about 10:00 re: there being a shooting at Mr. G's Save A Lot near the apartments. I didn't check the time specifically but there was 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. We came home about midnight to policemen all over the complex.
  12. This is fact. Police officer told DH "someone was murdered toward the Chinese Restaurant". (wording of the officer) DH was told this by one of the MANY officers on Merchants Court Apts property searching for the suspect/s. ETA: DH talked to the officer at approximately 12:20AM Sunday.
  13. I have a Size 7 by NIKE GEORGIA Jersey if you can use it. I sell it for $20 and the same jersey is at JCP for $37.99. I also have a 3T Jersey if anyone is looking for one.
  14. We were in there last week and you would have thought they were giving stuff away rather than having it 10%-20% off. Ridiculous! We got Pedigree Canned puppy food for $.58/can rather than the $1.18we had been paying at Ingles. But, the bag of Puppy Chow we HAD been paying $5.99 at K-Mart last week was $6.79 with 10% off. Because we typically shop there several items caught our eye that we KNEW the regular price had been cheaper. K-Mart is notorious for raising prices once their stores announce they are going out of business. ETA: IF you do not want you prescriptions to stay at Rite-Aid you
  15. All my ATT services including land line are working just fine. No complaints and love it. We were going to do the same but it was cheaper to keep all 3 services. The only time it rings is for junk calls and they show up on the TV so we ignore them. It does come in handy when I can't find my cell phone and need to call it to find it.
  16. They have a TON of summer merchandise down the middle isle that last week was 70% off the Clearance price. Now that the closing has officially been announced those same summer clothes are now 50% off the Clearance price. This is typical practice for K-Mart and many businesses when closing. But, when K-Mart has a Clearance sale they have a SALE rather than put an item on a sales rack and "clearance" it from $12.96 to $12.00. SORRY but THAT doesn't qualify. We will MISS K-Mart and hate to see it go but have known for a long time it was just a matter of time.
  17. What time is the Trick or Treat Village at Paulding Meadows??
  18. DH and I have said that since moving here in 1996. He always dreamed of buying the plot of land across from Martin's (that is now the dialysis center) and putting a Hardee's there. Right next door to Red Lobster!
  19. I didn't realize there hadn't been an Atlanta paper for years?? What was that paper looking thing I pulled out of a plastic bag at my door Sunday morning??? We shop the Hiram K-Mart regularly and seldom walk out without what we are looking for. And, when they have a clearance they have a clearance. Unlike Wally World who has an item at $12.97 and marks it to $12.00 and it is a DEAL? But, I do expect K-Mart to mark up the prices IF they have a store closing sale. BUT, they are among the masses who do that!!
  20. Do you mean they started a mass clearance in preparation of closing? Or they pulled merchandise off the shelves to put out for clearance when they start their "Closing Sale"? In the last couple of months the Anniston, AL store closed. We were disappointed when we went and the stock was "90% off". They had tripled the original price to mark it down to make it appear a bargain. In actuality some sale prices were actually HIGHER than what they had it priced 6 mos earlier.
  21. Such a sad and senseless loss. Praying God will give her family and friends Comfort and Peace.
  22. Talking SEC Football......I hope all y'all are watching the Ole Miss/Texas AM game. This is a a great offensive game!! My only comment re: the UGA injuries: Yes, there were MANY key positions without their starters. But a football program as huge and prominent as Georgia should have depth with their back-ups being prepared and experienced to step up and be ready to preform. And in response to: 3 of their 4 best wide receivers 2 of their best running backs, The lack of playing time by these offensive players had NO impact on 41 points for Mizzou!! one of which would have been a sur
