  1. I thought maybe they would to contact the vendors for the next event. That lady may think she got away with a few bucks but........Karma is a B****!!!
  2. I am sorry that happened to you too. Do you have contact info for her? Have you talked to someone at Food Depot to see if they have a record of the participants? I know people had to register in advance to set up and maybe they kept that info and will know who she is. I truly hope it is some sort of oversight or maybe she lost your contact info? I like to think the best of people and that there is a reasonable explaination but sometimes people are just bad. Keep us posted.
  3. We met friends at Red Lobster for an early dinner. DH and I shared a free order of stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer He had shrimp alfredo I had a salad that came with the Trio: Garlic Shrimp Skewers, Shrimp Scampi and Lobster Mac & Cheese (I let what I ate at the restaurant settle and then had a snack of leftovers later. LOL)
  4. I've never tried their cupcakes but we took the DGD's once bc they wanted dipped ice cream. $2.50 for one dip of ice cream was a bit pricey imo. We've never tried it and in the past have always liked and been pleased with BBB. Flour Child has a new customer with our family.
  5. We met friends at Red Lobster for an early dinner this evening. I've been wanting the Trio they've been advertising and it was well worth the wait. Plus a FB coupon for a free appetizer and great conversation made for a wonderful outing. Tomorrow will be devoted to racing. LOVE the Coca-Cola 600 and can tolerate some Indy. May make a run to the flea market early for DH to pick up more flowers. He has some empty pots that are needing some color. Monday will be dinner with the family to celebrate the "baby's" 10th birthday. I cannot believe our youngest DGD will be in double digits on Mo
  6. I had a similar experience last time at Bumble Bee. We were very disappointed. I wish Four Child was open on Tuesday bc that is usually the day we have our DGD's.
  7. Blondie, I'm not sure what happened to my original response but I'm gonna try again: Where do I begin? What Ugadawgs98 and mei lan said are accurate. Sad but accurate. I worked 15 years for the State of Alabama and all but a year of it was in CPS. I also licensed Foster Homes, Day Care Homes and approved Adoptive Homes the last year. When we moved to Georgia I had said I would NOT get back in the field but when people would ask what work I did I'd respond "I am an Administrative Assistant but my career is in Social Work". Finally I accepted it was WHO I was. I worked for Cobb DFCS as a
  8. What is on the menu for today???
  9. I DO TOO ~ Feel soooooo sorry for the families. I cannot imagine losing a loved one but to not have any idea what really happened and why?? I was NOT implying that too much money had been spent on the search. EVERY life is PRICELESS. No amount of money is too much to spend to find the wreckage, remains and hopefully get the answers. Although after this length of time and the "black boxes" being dead it doesn't seem likely. I also have wondered if the search would have neen done differently and possibly with a different outcome if it had been an American Airline? There didn't seem to be a l
  10. I was consumed with the coverage of the search for Flight 370 for weeks. The first thing I'd do in the AM was turn on the TV to see if it had been found during the night since the search was going on in the Indian Ocean and they were searching during their day/our night. But, the coverage seems to have just gone away. Has the search done the same thing? I had wondered just how long they would continue to search and knew the cost was becoming astronomical. Did they officially call off the search and I missed the announcement? I know the families were recently paid *or offered* a settlement from
  11. You can build a multi-million dollar building and put all the high tech equipment in it those millions can buy but that doesn't make it a better hospital. When I was there 2 weeks ago I had one excellent nurse but the other one needs to find another profession. The ER doctor was very good and her diagnosis was confirmed when I was transferred to Kennestone. On another note, not that it matters but the ER doctors are not employees of Wellstar. I hope the staff can be brought up the the standards of the other hospitals in the area. Until then it will remain just "Paulding Hospital" with the
  12. It was and I changed it to show topics posted since I last read. That was probably why I wasn't seeing threads I had posted without finding them under "my content". THANKS for the help!!
  13. I have never had this happen before but I have signed in 3 times and when I do, the thread "Not What We Wanted To Hear" is GONE. When I sign out I can see it again. Sign in....GONE. All the other threads are still there but not that one. REALLY STRANGE. I wanted to express my condolences for the senseless loss of their kitty.
  14. I have seen threads over the years re: a business that has "Angels" in the name. It is in one of the white buildings near Regions Bank. Seems like some of the comments were good and some not so good but I can't remember what it was. A friend is going to an interview with them and wanted me to try to find out what peple had to say about it.
  15. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO! That is heartbreaking. No excuse is good enough to do that to a poor kitty. PERIOD. My thoughts and prayers are with your kitty and your family. Hopefully in the morning we'll be reading a good report that your kitty is recovering. In 1998 we were living on the East side of town when our 12 year old dachshund was run over. He was OUT OF THE ROAD and the car was driven in the yard to hit him. It was the week of graduation and we learned later there was a game being played by Seniors to see how many animals they could kill. They got so many points for each cat and so many p
  16. THANK YOU! I am using Google Chrome so I will try the solutions mentioned in the link. I prefer Firefox but I inherited this laptop from DS and he used GC. I attempted to download Firefox a few weeks ago but had problems. If you have a good link for it I would appreciate it.
  17. I am having problems with my laptop connecting to certain pages. It isn't all pages but after a few minutes a box pops up wanting me to "Kill Pages". It is very aggravating and I have to close all pages that are open. Any suggestions how I can correct the problem? TIA
  18. Me either. In the late 1970's I worked at Montgomery Mall. (My mother was thrilled for me to be a cashier at Casual Corner with my private college degree. ) I would go across the street to Ponderosa for lunch a lot and it was a good little tasty steak. We also had Quincy Steakhouse in Alabama back in the day. As far as Outback we have been three times in the 25 years we've been married. And I can say with confidence there won't be a fourth. Yes it is. We've been to that one and whatever the name of the one is in Douglasville. Both are very good with very good food.
  19. Unfortunately their phones are not still working!?!?!? Strange!
  20. THANK YOU!! We used them at the recommendation of a friend when we had to help Snickers across the Rainbow Bridge. All of the staff were extremely nice and compassionate. I hope they get their phone lines fixed soon. I would be changing my provider if I had a business that was interrupted like his has been.
  21. I wish they were open on Monday evenings. Sure sounds good for dinner. We have never been disappointed and on one visit I told Audrey she had gotten the biggest compliment she could get from DS. He said "this taste like Nanny's" (the BEST cook. PERIOD)
  22. I haven't heard of him being in concert in at least a couple of years. Guess he is enjoying being a Daddy and taking the political route.
  23. If so do you know how much their office visit is? And, before someone suggest I call and ask them I've been trying since Sunday, May 5th and get a message "All circuits are busy". A friend even went by there Friday and a note on the door said they were closed due to computer and phones being down. An AT&T worker was outside and told her he was hoping to have the problem corrected by 8PM and if so they would be open on Sat. (typically closed on Saturdays) Guess they haven't gotten them fixed bc the same recording is on the line. Sad bc obviously they have lost at least a week of busines
  24. I knew Clay Aiken was running for office but did not realize the Primary had already been held. Nor had I heard his opposition had died.
