Genetically Modified Grains - What's your take on them?
ButterflyLion replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Surepip, I was just wondering how long your son has thought that GMOs are bad? Also, haven't you said before on p.com that GMO corn was needed to feed the world's population and maintain low poultry prices? I just was interested in what got you to questioning GMOs? -

Postman, I've never had a horse but I believe stables (and maybe dog kennels?) and the like sometimes use fly traps to keep them from breeding and/or biting the animals. -

Did anyone hear about the March Against Monsanto held in both U.S. and foreign cities a couple of weeks ago on May 25, 2013? Here's a video that talks about the March and some in general about GMOs. There are a lot of videos online about the subject: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LICQCxq1FqU -

This man's bee hives were taken and destroyed without his knowledge: 15 Years of Research Destroyed Ingram believes the destruction of his bees and hives is more likely to be related to his research into the effect of Roundup on honey bees. He claims some 250 of his colonies have been killed off over the years by Monsanto's broad-spectrum herbicide, used in large quantities on both conventional- and genetically engineered crops. Ingram's research shows that Roundup can lead to what's called chilled brood, which is an entirely different scenario. According to Ingram, quoted f -

I understand what you said. I also thought though if the answers were about teens wanting to get workers in trouble then why were the responses so different in New York, Massachusetts, and Delaware where no abuse was reported? -
Lucky64, you said you adopted it. Where did you get it?

Surepip, cancer is just one of many concerns: -
I'm not sure what you think they mean by superfood. The various references I've seen to superfoods are about foods that are viewed as especially healthy. The article is about the benefits of cultured foods to the digestive system---and how it "houses about 85 percent of your immune system. This is in large part due to the 100 trillion bacteria that live there, both good and bad that can stimulate secretory IgA to nourish your immune response. When your GI tract is not working well, a wide range of health problems can appear, including allergies and autoimmune diseases. If you suffer from

The article calls cultured vegetables the "ultimate supperfood." Cultured Vegetables Are the Ultimate Superfood One of the leading experts in the optimization of intestinal flora is Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, who developed the GAPS nutritional protocol (Gut and Psychology Syndrome/Gut and Physiology Syndrome). For decades, Dr. McBride has successfully treated adults and children with severe illnesses, including autism, epilepsy, mood disorders, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, celiac disease and many more, with her GAPS protocol. A key component of the GAPS program is the daily co

I've seen references to cultured veggies being healthy before. I got the link to this in an email. I just glanced at it but it looks interesting: http://www.foodmatters.tv/articles-1/turn-ordinary-vegetables-into-immunity-boosters-with-this-simple-trick

You asked about grains but your thread reminded of reading this quite a while back about adding a fish gene to strawberries. The idea is to make them more cold tolerant. No. No fishy strawberries for me. I want mine 100% fruit: Genetic Engineering - Sierra Club www.sierraclub.org/biotech/report.asp An attempt to "improve" strawberries by inserting a gene from an Arctic fish has in fact been discussed. The fish gene is supposed to make the strawberries ... -

This is not what you asked but what about a picnic by a waterfall or some other scenic place? I've always enjoyed picnics. They used to be really popular with both couples and families. Anyway, I just thought I would put the idea out there.

Looking back were there any signs when you were dating your first husband that he was abusive? Did you have any anxiety about getting remarried? Did you have any fears that Papi might have a Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde personality, too? -

The part I enlarged: No. Finding support and healing that works for me is not that. It's your choice but don't understand sleeping behind "a 10ft fence topped with razor wire,"---when you regularly post that you are at such and such public location in real time (usually in evenings) like I often see you do?
