  1. I didn't get a chance to post that a friend had given me the info about the news story. I realized I should have mentioned that immediately after the others started posting their "mind reading" comments. I was getting ready to post that another person told me about the news article when the thread was closed unexpectedly.
  2. The other day I mentioned to another animal lover that it was upsetting for me to read here where a member said he kicked what he called a "useless" small dog. That friend then mentioned the news story to me that I posted. I didn't search for something intentionally as some of you stated. I just thought it was an appalling incident as did some of those involved in the investigation: Rose said the alleged crime has shocked the community. "I have been in [law enforcement] for 36 years and this is a first," he said. "You wonder how we ever got to the top of the food chain with people l
  3. "I could use "useless" to describe psycho vegetarian argumentative trolls, too." Health care is never far from my mind. Kidney failure is stressful to deal with among other things. I had my limit of snide remarks from another poster yesterday. The quote above was just one of MANY A few posters here have made p.com a none healing environment. I'm leaving. Mods, please close this thread. To the others who offered sincere suggestions I appreciate it.
  4. I know California has a lot to offer but the idea of earthquakes is especially uninviting to me. What about the coast here in Georgia? How are the summers there?
  5. We just drove threw Texas on a youth group trip to New Mexico years ago. I thought it might have some hidden treasures. What about along the coast? I had never thought of moving there until recently. I read a week or two ago where one woman in Texas already had ripe tomatoes. And on another website I read that the artist lives in Texas.
  6. Why? Are mild summers available in Florida at a certain price? But is it crowded?
  7. Some people talk about parts of Florida having really hot summers. I don't mind most Georgia summers but a little milder would be good if I could have it.
  8. I'll be going to my Mom's to stay for a while. Then I'm not sure. I've thought about moving somewhere where the winters are milder and where the summers aren't too hot. I like nature and birds, a healing type environment. Any suggestions? I've thought about Florida. What about Texas? What parts might offer what I'm looking for?
  9. Lowrider, no, it's me. You know I believe strongly in humane treatment for animals. Yesterday when I read the original post he said that he kicked the small "useless" dog In my mind I saw a full grown man obviously angry kicking a small dog with a lot of force. He hadn't gone into any more detail at that point. Also, my mind went back 20+ years ago. I had a blind Pekingese at that time. Meg was the sweetest dog and never bit anyone. She went blind at age 2 and stayed that way despite surgery by a specialist. She lived a full life until almost 15. Anyway, that Christmas we were visiting
  10. Tell me where you're from---so I can make it a point to stay far, far away: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdjL8WXjlGI
  11. I'm not surprised that you would think that way, but there needs to be some mix in the way people view things.
  12. And it seems you've got this thread confused with the movie, The Christmas Story and a pc confused with a Red Ryder BB gun.
  13. There are people who don't think about everything like you do. Just so you know.
  14. I started a thread about a man who killed his girlfriend's pet dog and then beat her with its dead body. The first post after that was by Glassdogs and it was not about what happened to the woman and her dog. And you if read his posts and some of things he's said about me personally,
  15. I didn't say none had been written. Have you read any of the latest research about the brain of the heart, etc.?
  16. So.... you're prepared to stand behind everything you've stated here--about me personally---if the need arises---say in a legal setting?
  17. Well, if you spend any time in a library it doesn't take long to find something written about the importance and power of love. Hatred? Not many book or poems inspired by that.
  18. I like Geckos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4njS23NvzPU
  19. There you are using "useless" to describe a dog again. Really sad.
  20. Well, for someone who says he has so much love for dogs I haven't seen you make a single post about the subject of the thread which was a tragedy for the woman and her dog. Go back and see how many posts YOU posted to this thread---all centered around YOU. Let me repeat for the hard to understand. The subject of this thread is NOT you. It is "GA Man Kills Dog, Uses Dead Body To Beat Girlfriend."
  21. Some of our neighbors have dogs that bite---some are large and some are small---and I don't think it's cute. Currently I have one dog that weighs 9 lbs, one that weighs 52 lbs. and one that weigh 63 lbs. They are all very loving, well behaved and have never bitten anyone. I do not support needless suffering of an animal that can be avoided. That's why I became a vegetarian 22 years ago. I even wish God had left manna as a food choice or I could go back to the Garden of Eden where no animals were eaten. And....hmmmmm I don't think your description matches one true thing about me.
