I have wondered for years how I got my first name. Mom couldn't recall how I got my first name at all. My parents lived with my mother's folks until I was 2, and my grandmother thought SHE was my mother! My family was full of Graces, Sarahs, Elizabeths and Alices, but not one Carolyn. In doing my genealogy, I found a census from when my mom was young and printed it out. They list all of the neighbors on the street. I found a Doc who lived 2 doors down. My Grandmother thought he hung the moon, because he came whenever anyone was sick. Guess what his wife's name was? Yep. My grandmoth

I buy a LOT of fresh fruit for my Mom. This summer was the worst ever. Since we don't like it refrigerated, I went to party city and bought the little net umbrellas that you put over food at a picnic. Worked like a charm. Then I put out a small jar of water and poured a little veg oil on the top. I submerged a small piece of tomato and they tried to get to the tomato and stuck in the oil. Flypaper strips also work. I love watching one get stuck and then struggle!!!

That's my great-niece's name. Some call her Maddy Grace, but most call her Macee. We talked her mom out of spelling it like the store! I went to school with a boy we called "LJ." His Mama named him "Living Jewel!"

Some of the residents need to get a hunter's blind and take turns staking out the intersection. When they start messing up the road call the SO. Get a laser pointer and shine it on them and scare them to death!

You're not old enough to have a grandbaby! -
A friend of mine had a local dentist make his. He's job-hunting and couldn't afford extensive dental work right now. He's making payments on them. They look very good. You can't eat with them on, though.

Absolutely gorgeous! Happy anniversary! -
Us, too. I've called many times for Mom and they were the nicest people. So kind and gentle with her. Whatever is true or not true about the owner, he hires good people.

NY has bedbugs! I wouldn't take anything for the cruise I took with girlfriends! Shopping and sitting up all night talking and then ordering room service at 2 am, plus all of the shows and casino! I've got a million pix to remind me of all the good times!

If you don't mind a ride, the INK Museum in Gainesville is great! My niece took her three (2, 9 and 11) last week and they all had a ball. Here's the link: http://www.inkfun.org/
