http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/realestate.asp It would only apply on that portion of profit above the capital gains threshold of $500k for a couple. If you sold your home for $1,000,000 and bought a new one for $400k. Then you would have a capital gain of $600k. You are exempt from the first $500k but will have to pay a 3.8% tax on the next $100k. that is the way I understand it.

Wet ground often gives off a very pungent odor. It is from the bacteria that live in the soil and the decomposition of matter within the soil. If it is true, I'm sure that, as with most government controlled items, it will kill off the incentive to "specialize" in something by spending extra time, money and effort in it to make your self better at your job. Government interference always has been and always will be an incentive killer. By always trying to "level the playing field", they just kill off competition and the will to better yourself. One now must only be "good enough" to meet government standards. Ask the Big 3 how that worked out for them in the late 70's and 80s.

Not defending the travesty called Healthcare reform but, you might want to read a little more about it. It seems that those 2 are considered false statements. http://www.factcheck.org/2009/08/twenty-six-lies-about-hr-3200/

Bike riders on the Silver comet trail who blow right through their stop signs while I'm stopped at mine and then give me a dirty look when I creep forward on them.

There can only be so many different tags of the same design with the current combinations of letters and numbers. They have to restart the tags again with a different style. You just can't reuse a tag that you think is gone. I kind of like the way California does/ did it. Every plate is assigned to a person to continue to use for as long as they wish regardless of current issue plates. It was common to see a valid 70s issued plate there not long ago. At least that is my understanding of their system. We have the same but in a more limited manner here. We can keep our plates as long as they are

All they have to do is make the appropriate decal for the religion or county.

The black snakes are probably a rat snake. AKA a good snake. Here is a helpful link http://timberrattlesnake89.tripod.com/ganonvenomous.html Now why they have the link named after the most venomous snake in GA, I haven't a clue.

Codes and signals vary by department. At Cobb and Acworth 10 -15 meant under arrest / in custody. Cobb used code 18 for a traffic stop while Acworth used 10-35.

As I explained, in SOME intersections the simple act of entering it is not the illegal part. It is when you are still in the intersection after the light turns red. At that point you ARE obstructing the intersection until you clear it. The other traffic really has no choice but to wait for you to clear it. The major point here is that while you may be technically in voilation, your chances of being ticketed are very slim. Most LEO's understand how things work and what works best for traffic.

Zillow or a county property tax search would be a good start.

I wear shoes to protect my feet. I can not stand going barefoot. I always get the same tennis shoes (Reebok club c box #169 at Kohls). I have a few different dress shoes but have little need for them. I have to wear County approved boots at work and wear a pair of work boots on my side job. So long as my feet do not hurt or get injured, I'm good.

Feel free to quote this next time, Just don't tell hiim I gave it to you. § 40-6-205. Obstructing intersection No driver shall enter an intersection unless there is sufficient space on the other side of the intersection to accommodate the vehicle he is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians, notwithstanding any traffic-control signal indication to proceed. But here is the arguement, in an intersection with a dedicated left turn lane (think 92 & 278) there usually is room on the other side. The problem is making it across the oncoming traffic.
