  1. I just knew it HAD to be tunnel related! I thought the Chupacabra got out again though.
  2. If this is better, I sure would hate to see worse.
  3. For the most part I tend to agree but I have to ask. Exactly what part did a golfing supply company moving to Micronesia have to do with the accounting in a company that got us into this mess. then turn around and write them checks when they became near insolvent? I think your accusation is misdirected. The vast majority of US companies had nothing to do with what happened. It was OUR very own government and the financial and investment industries that got us into this and they are almost wholey staffed by workers right here in the states.
  4. Slower than what? An F-16? The TGV? NASCAR? 78 in a 55/65 zone is technically speeding and while most officers allow 15 over before issuing a citation, it does not mean that you have the right to do 85. And should you decide to do 85 and insist everyone else get out of your way. Then, (my view) is that it is now becumbent upon that driver to take the risks of merging in and out of traffic. Especially if they come up behind you with an attitude of "get the FRAK out of my way!!". Just saying here, I fully accept my actions as something that I would do but never tell someone else to do. In short,
  5. Maybe. we were coming back from FL on 75 years ago. traffic was moderately heavy. DW was drivingn even though she prefers to leave driving to me. Anyway, trying to use the cruise control in the right lane was not gonna work but was very doable in the left lane. We had it set for like 78 mph. quite fast since the limit is 55/65. This guy comes up behind us and just sits on her bumper. My philosophy is to be amicable to nice drivers and a pain to bad ones. We would have moved over but there was nowhere to go without disengaging the CC and slowing down to match the speed of the slower drivers on
  6. Regardless, brain cells will start to die within approx. 4 min if ventilations are not started with compressions. Some of the other factors are the age of the patient, the cause of cardiac arrest and how rapidly CPR was begun. A child that was pulled out of the pool unresponsive will likely respond very favorably to CPR providing that they were found quickly. A person that has had an Myocardialinfarction (heart attack) will likely not respond very well and would do best with early Defibrilation from an AED or other device. You can not just do proper compressions for 10 - 15 min and expect the
  7. Actually, I thought it was you that left the check in the ________ for me.
  8. Well maybe... If you start CPR, you do not stop until you get to the hospital or unless there is a return of spontaneous circulation within the patient . Now with that said, let me add this part. CPR IS VERY DEMANDING on the rescuer. If you start CPR and do it by yourself (breathing and compressions) you will be totally worn out after 10 - 15 min. If at that time there still have been no other CPR certified people to arrive, no one will think less of you for stopping. With 2 rescuer CPR you swap back and forth to extend the time that you are able to perform CPR. I do not know what certificatio
  9. I aerated your yard a few years back.
  10. What a short memory you have... Sorry CC, Ive been to your house and had lunch with and seen Tow on the job but I have not yet had the pleasure.
  11. I was thinking along those same lines. That even though the men voluntarily subjected themselves to injury, it should be incumbent upon her insurance company to pay the costs of the men's treatment for injuries sustained while assisting their client. The article just does not give enough info on this suit to make any kind of knowledgable assessment of the validity of their claim.
  12. I actually read a book on torture devices (someone left it one of the stations). I'm not into torture. Anyway, way back when they were doing beheadings they were also studying things like the body's responses. There was at least one documented instance where the "overseer" called out the man's name right afterwards. The head had come to rest with face upwards. After calling out the man's name the eyes opened briefly. After a brief pause, the name was once again called out. Again the eyes opened and then shut. There was no further response to any of the following instances of calling out the m
  13. Yah, I heard that if your mower runs constantly for more than 4 hours, you are supposed to take it to be checked at the local service center. I certainly do not want to permanantly damage it as I have become quite attached to it over the years. I know just how to handle it to keep it performing properly. And all the manuevers I've learned over the years just may not work the same with another one.
  14. Yeah, my mower may need some of that. The new Ethanol additives are alcohol based and we all know alcohol is a depressent and interferes with your mower's power rating.
  15. That might be for office personel. Mine is Sep 9th.
  16. :drinks: If there is something I can't stand, it is failure to start when required. I despise having to inject those artificial starter chemicals in my equipment.
  17. I mean really. Just this week I discovered It was not able to hold air like it used to. Then there was the whole thing with fluids. Then the issue with the beltline needing to be adjusted. To top it off I have been experiencing problems with premature disengagement. Then today... IN THE MIDDLE OF A JOB, it just disengages and for the life of me I can't get it to reengage and I have to call off the whole thing. So I start looking into the problem and try a couple of remedial fixes, no joy there either. So I finally get to, what I believe to be, the root of the problem when SNAP!!! I loose all t
  18. Whoo Hooo... I still get my aniversary off Kind of ironic that my 2nd furlough day will fall on the same day as my wedding aniversary AND the hire in date for the fire Department (which are both on the same day but 1 year apart). What a present from the county. Oh well, at least the wife will be happy about me getting to spend time with her.(well I think she will... Maybe I should ask... Honey....)
  19. As far as spend, spend, spend in Cobb goes... They have never done things that way. http://www.eastcobber.com/cobb-receives-highcobb-receives-highest-ratings-for-financial-stability-est-ratings-for-financial-stability/ 1 of only 20 counties in the nation... Did you catch that part? And they are not in danger of losing it like our Fed. government is. Cobb is consistantly ranked among the best in the nation for all service areas. Yes the BOC has made some bad decisions. But they have been among the best financial stewards of county government in the nation for the better part o
  20. Just a few points to ponder. This is Cobb's first mil rate increase in 20 years. Cobb's current rate is roughly half of that paid by all other metro counties. If you are a trapped property owner then Cobb is the best place, tax wise, to be trapped. The vast majority of Cobb's property owners have seen a decrease of around 400 dollars or more in their taxes while the county is only asking for about 110 of those dollars back. Everyone says "well I do not use that service". Regardles, it is there for you because the majority of citizens asked for it. It is there for your property value whether yo
  21. If they took the toilets, then they took the traps too. Ther is no p-trap in wter closet. Without the toilet there is nothing to stop the sewer gasses from escaping. I believe it would be doubtful that the methane levels would get t the explosive limits though.
  22. I don't know... looks like the barber shop is a big hit.
  23. To quote a friend here... "it's a Travishamockery!!" of our justice system.
