Yet again I was having issues with insurance and billing. Dis jr. takes a growth hormone for his small stature. No, I am not trying to get him to 6' 00" but would be happy with 5'09". His dr. predicted that he MIGHT reach 5'04" without them. Any way it is not cheap so the manufacturer has started with an assistance progrm. The first was a prepaid mastercard with a fixed amount to assist us. Well by the time we got all the required items in order and mailed it in, they cancelled the program. I found this out when I got another bill for the outstanding mailorder balance. Well darn. So I called t

If you want to get out of the area a little you can go to "Boondocks". It is a little North of PCB. We have eaten there a few times. It is good and not overrun with visitors.

With lighting it usually does not matter which way the circuit is wired. In this case they have prettymuch told you the same by making both wires black. Typically you will wire blac to black, white to white and bare to bare. If you have a light that also has a ceiling fan attached you could also see a red wire. This is done to save wire. The electrician has run a 3-wire to the fixture with to seperate "hot" wires Black and red. In this case the White to white for all white wires and bare to bare. With the black and red, each one will have a seperate switch that controls it. Pick which switch y

Don't I wish that were the case for me. It costs almost $35 just to fill the tank on my mower. And I have to add stabiler to the gas to conteract the Ethanol, which makes it cost even more. Thank you government.

As they taught us in police recruit school... plenty of stopping power, virtually indestructable!

Or at least that is your hope.

I changed a tire for a lady on the inside emergency lane of 285 going from 41 to Paces Ferry when I was with Cobb PD. It must have really left an impression because she saw me years later on a Fire / EMS call and she asked me if I used to work for PD. I said yes and she said I changed her tire there for her. I do remember the incident, but to be honest, I did not have as much contact with her as I did her car. I just know that changing a tire on the inside emergency lane on 285 is not one of my all time favorite things to do.

To the best of my knowledge, in GA there is no limit to the tags you put on the front of your vehicle (except for obscenities). Your regular tag must be properly displayed on the rear of your vehicle. There are a few states like Maryland that requires a second identical tag on the front as well. GA does not. I sure would like to be a fly on the wall during their next scheduled discussion on tags and trying to produce extra revenue from them.

Short answer... Drugs are still illegal whether she bought them with the dollar she eaned somewhere or the one that we gave her. Short answer part 2. even if she bought the illegal drugs with the money she earned and used the tax payer dollars for food, if it had not been for those tax payer dollars, she would not likely had enough money to buy that food after buying the frugs. Short answer part 3. most of the "Qualified" folks getting these benefits lied or gave faulty information to the person / agency that qualified them in the first place in order to get these benefits. So what is the pro

The system would process / take care of my kids as well Smitty. The difference here is that I know what the repercussions are here and I am simply unwilling to risk the well bing of my family on this issue. WHY?? And I mean really WHY? Should we expect less from those that we support financially than we do from those who go out and work everyday. Your's is truly a losing arguement Smitty. You are arguing for extra rights / priviledges for those on public support that the folks that actually work and pay for this support do not get. And that IS TOTALLY unfair to the workers. We really need to m

I think it has 2 main reasons. There are many businesses now that do a drug screen prior to hiring especially for the better jobs. Since welfare is only supposed to be temp. until you find a job, how the heck are you supposed to get a job ifyou can't pass the drug screen. They are keeping themselves from getting jobs either on purpose or through pure stupidity and lack of self control. On the other side you have the fact that most taxpayers do not like the idea of someone living their entire lives on welfare. With that in mind, they find it just plain wrong that someone they support finan

I don't think that charge would / will stand up in court. Worked with a guy that would initiate a traffic stop and 6 out of 10 times he would say "I'm attempting to stop..." and that always sent your pucker factor way up. It was very aggravating because you always thought someone was trying to run from him. -

Both and I get paid to work at my assigned station every 3rd day. And for the record, I don't "ride" in the big red truck, I drive it. I work in Northwest Cobb And I have worked for Cobb since 1996. And yes there is an overlap with Acworth since I stayed with them as well as the fire dept for a year or so. Man... some folks just are so full of themselves with bad attitudes. And I would be happy to provide you with my GA Firefighter certification but it would take a lot longer and be too much work (there is no online information available as readily as POST is) for the little return -

My POST (Police Officers Standards Training ) certification is sufficiant for any Law enforcement agency in the state of Georgia, I could care less if you believe it or not. I worked for Acworth City and Cobb County Police. I am currently employed by Cobb as a Fire Fighter Engineer. And NO, I have never taken a bribe nor has there been any investigations on me. That can also be verified through POST. Officer Profile Report For: Officer Certifications PBLE931562S BASIC LAW ENFORCEMENT 12/02/1993 Officer Speed Detection Certifications PS09950968S RADAR O -

As already mentioned, we try to "time" the stop so it will be easy and predictable as to where you should stop your vehicle. However, If I activate my lights and "blip" my siren 100 - 200 yards before my intended stop area and you fail to stop there, proceed past 2 - 3 more "good" stop points and finally decide to stop over the crest of a hill around a blind curve and with no road shoulder to speak of, then you are the idiot and I am going to be just a little bit "miffed" with your stupidity. And then I will go to your car and tell you specifically where I want you to move your vehicle to so w -

DO NOT stop while cresting a hill or going around a blind curve. Those are really bad choices froma safety stand point. Stopping on a side road or in the accelleration / decelleration lane of a subdivision is good as well. A business parking lot or even a private driveway in a pinch. The side of the road is ok as long as it can be done safely. I pulled a guy over for littering (he was arrested for driving with a suspended license and drug possesion though) in the PD parking lot 1 time and the major came out and chastised me for not going the extra mile and just stopping them in the Sallyport. -

It sure would be funny to see him foreclose on the courthouse though. I only say that because of the disdain I feel towards the prior administratio though. -

You are quite welcome ma'am. And thank you very much for the kind words. They mean a lot to me. Did you ever set your HOA straight?
