It's a sad day when supposedly intelligent adults will support kids skipping class because it supports their own agenda. If the kids really cared about anything but getting out of a day of school, they would have marched on a Saturday. This is nothing but a planned play hooky day.

I remembered DST being extended a while back and looked it up. I found it's been changed more than I remembered: In 2005, DST was extended to start earlier and end later by 2 - 3 weeks, extending DST by 4-5 weeks total. It used to start on the first weekend of April and end on the last Sunday in October, which would tend to make it lighter in the morning for the kids. The original plan in 1966 was the last Sunday in April to the Last Sunday in October. Now it's the 2nd Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. Interesting, Wikipedia says something close to Jamie: T

FCC finally trying to do something about the fake caller ID scams
The Sound Guy replied to marteenj's topic in RECENT TOPICS
About freaking time. The most obnoxious are those that send me my own number in the caller ID. I look at it and think "hey, I know that number" and pick up before my brain makes the connection. SOB's should be shot. I'm glad the FCC committee has finally figured out that doing this makes the whole Caller ID thing useless. Glad they are not involved in my health care with that decision loop timing.... oh wait... -
just make sure whatever you get, first thing off, go into programs control panel and delete all the bloatware that comes on it and it's will run twice as fast.

It seems that there are a LOT of people trying to work at Home Depot. Knowing someone there would help a lot. My son is full time there only because he started part time and managed that because he used to play soccer with the manager's son. Also, the manager that hired him used to complain that finding someone in Hiram that can pass a drug test was very difficult. if you can't pass one, don't bother. Good luck.

Is that GM car backing up or just getting locked up?
The Sound Guy replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Cool! My wife and I have GM products, I'll have to turn this on for both of them. Nice idea. -
Is this with respect to the house fires early this week?

NBC is the last network I would have wanted to have the Olympics, they are the worst at announcing, filler, etc. I watched a little, did watch the US Women's curling team last night for an hour just to figure out what was going on. Most of it just doesn't interest me and NBC's idiots don't help matters.

Who would want to be the first test subject for this? Not me.

Most of the clinics I've seen are doing this. They will text you when they are close to ready for you. Problem I had was I checked their site at 9:00 AM and the first slot open was after 5:30 PM. However, I found another with an open slot and it worked well. Also, the clinic I went to had masks available at the front desk though I didn't notice it until checking out. I would have worn it if I'd seen them.

Germany considering 'free public transportation' to cut pollution
The Sound Guy replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The cost of public transportation in cities that I travel to has surprised me at times. I guess it is a requirement that the riders support the services that they are using. I used BART in San Francisco to go from near the airport to downtown and it was nearly $10 a day. Since I had to park at the San Bruno station, it was another $3 a day for that. (Few hotels are within walking distance of a BART station) Students and Seniors would get a reduced rate. Clipper $8.80 BART Blue Ticket $9.80 Senior/Disabled Clipper $3.30 Youth Clipper $4.40 I assume they have monthly passes tha -
Has anyone seen a report on where he got the weapon? If he was able to purchase it because his issues in high school were not reported because he was under 18, then I think that the concept of juvenile justice system has outlived it's usefulness.

A lot of kids now are thinking much differently than their parents do. More power to them putting their money where their beliefs are.

I'd be concerned about pneumonia setting in. My parents had the "walking pneumonia" where the symptoms were mild enough they kept moving but the chest/cough would not clear. If they start coughing up green stuff, then I'd go. The Dr office should have masks available if you go, put them on you and the kid ASAP when you get there.

We just started going to Rodney's in the New Hope area again and it seems pretty good. Steaks, BBQ and country cooking. Pop's Dog House on 61N near Dabbs Bridge has good wings and Great burgers. Pacific Spice got bought out by a local group, but it's pretty good Chinese food. (Cedarcrest and 41) Audry's Neighborhood Cafe across the street from the courthouse is pretty good country cooking.

Thanks for letting us know. It seems that divorce puts a lot of stress on kids, hope they can work it out.

And at least one in the New Car business that I wouldn't buy from if they were last dealer in the metro area...

Interesting to know that his job of cleaning air conditioning ducts allows him to fully support a family of seven. ICE also gave him a one year work permit as well. With six kids he must love the GOP raising the child tax credit to refundable portion to $1400, that's $8400 minimum he'll be getting back in tax credits next year. Assuming he actually files that is. Of course, he has entered the country illegally at least three times, decided that he had a "right" to drive whether the state issued a licence to him or not and then he ignores an order from a valid legal entity, ICE, to repo

From what I can see, it's only about 20% of tax payers that will pay all of that windfall, (those that currently itemize on the Federal taxes, but with the new higher standard deductible and the reduced deductions will now need to take the new standard deductible). They will now be stuck taking the GA Standard deductible at $3000 instead instead of the $12K to 23K deduction they had before. However, all the "fixes" I've heard so far involve giving the money to those *other* than the ones paying it, so it sounds like those people are screwed no matter what.

I wonder if that guy I saw with the open carry in there has any problems with stalkers?
-
I'm (hopefully) in the final stages of recovery. Last Monday, I couldn't make myself drink water, much less *think* about any kind of food. I'm on a "bland" diet now, trying one more time to get everything to reset.

Hmm... that store has stuff all over the place. I've run into people multiple times while trying to find something there. I wonder if someone thought I was stalking them?
