  1. LOL, I gotcha covered!! This is a pretty good site on dealing with Crows: CrowBusters! Also includes jokes that are will fit right in with what is obviously the same sense of humor we both have: What is an albino crow called? A Caw-casian! Where do crows hang out after work? The Crow Bar! Why should you never let a crow use your phone? They make too many long distance caws!
  2. Just had a couple of crows destroy a robin's nest on our front porch. They are annoying critters. Just be aware that GA actually has a crow season, it was November 5 2016 - February 28, 2017. < Why you ask? Because our idiot lawmakers in Washington keep insisting on writing laws on stuff they know nothing about. So they wrote a "Migratory Bird" protection law trying to protect ducks, which actually ended up protecting Crows as well. Idiots. > From the GA Wildlife Crow Page: NUISANCECrows have a reputation as agricultural pests and predators on songbirds and va
  3. Whoever owns that open corner by the Autozone must want a Fortune for it for it to still be empty. Any kind of chicken place would be good since we have burgers and burgers. I suspect what we will get will be a pizza or Mexican place. Not like there is not enough of them already on the Cedarcrest corridor. I seem to remember seeing someone working on the restaurant next to the Subway in the Kroger shopping center. No sign to show if something else is moving in.
  4. Did mine back in late Feb, it was a wash, (state refund paid what I owed feds) but I have to know if I'm gonna owe money soon enough to come up with it. Did my PIL last night so they could get back their $36 for a dinner out.
  5. I heard a story of a woman who financed her Christmas trips to see her kids every year by volunteering for travel vouchers the previous year. She's schedule her initial flight for the projected busiest time of the week and after two or three bumps would have plenty of voucher for next year's trip. if flexible, it's the way to go. I fly for work and usually am on a schedule headed out and too ready to get back on the return trip, but have been tempted at times.
  6. The musical theme from the Andy Griffith show, Cheers (Where everybody knows your name...) The modern shows that i watch have theme songs, Big Bang Theory (Barenaked ladies), NCIS (numeriklab). I think many more have them, they are just not as memorable as before. As well, I think some shows are doing away with them or making them very short as long leads into the show take away from the show and/or advertising time. Time is money...
  7. So if your opponent is childish, your only logical response is to act childish back? Yea, that's a valid way to: 1) Run a country (not!) 2) Prove to the swing voters that at least the Democrats can act like adults and recover their losses in the midterms. (not!) The Dems are blowing their best chance to recover both houses of Congress. I'm sure there are many little bills that they could use to compromise and then announce to the country how they are "working" with the GOP majority to govern, then on the bills that they consider to be the top 10 "Disasters in the making", announce
  8. When the minority party has nothing in mind but "Block the Majority" then you have a freaking mess. We had it with the GOP for the last 8 years and now the Democrats have shown themselves to be just as a bad as the GOP as the "Party of No" now that they are the minority. As I told my kids (and other parents) you pick your battles. When it's critical, you fight, but otherwise, work with the other group and compromise. Saying "No" and pouting about everything that is not your idea is totally worthless Right now, neither party is looking to compromise and govern, they are looking
  9. Nook and Kindle are on the chargers... Got a flash flood alert for Cobb County on my phone when I drove through a corner of it to lunch.
  10. Too bad it's not ready for filling now....we wouldn't need river water to fill it up!
  11. He has to eat or go get food sometime. Eject the personal items and no more "right" to live there.

  14. LOL, agreed on the government contracts. I used to work on bids for fiber optic equipment to Telephone companies just using government funding and holy carp was there a lot requirements to slog through!
  15. This explains the guys working on the Gas Line ROW as it passes under Dabbs Bridge Road this week. I will say they were the most considerate crew I've seen, putting old tires and plywood on the road as the big machines crossed to keep from chewing up the pavement. (Though they are supposed to start paving over it again this week). it looked like they were clearing brush and trees from one side, I guess that's where the new pipe will go.
  16. Interesting. Thanks for linking it.
  17. All I can say is that I voted against all of them I could. What a mess. It's like Prez Trump but at the local level, the GOP out smarted itself again.
  18. The estate must be a mess to need over three years to clear probate.
  19. That's learning the hard way.... don't take out a firearm, don't point a firearm at anyone unless you mean to shoot. Brandishing can get you a large Hospital bill or Funeral home bill.
  20. Found a place in Hiram that does "pallet liquidation", but it turns out the pallets are loaded with stuff you have to pay for and take as well, so may not be the solution after all.
  21. Snow stays on the ground three days, it will snow again... oops, didn't work this year did it...
  22. I'm a gun owner, but understand that with gun ownership comes responsibility. You point one at ANYONE you don't have good reason to shoot and that's brandishing and (in my opinion) a terrorist threat and the law MUST come down hard on that. As many have said here, excess booze and guns do not mix. They are lucky no one got hurt, even by accident, or they would be UNDER the jail.
  23. We've actually been impressed with Wells Fargo's assistance with the fraud against my FIL/MILs account.
  24. Depends partially if the account number was invalid or someone else's account. If the deposit went through because it was a valid number, just not your number, then you need to start an investigation and/or the other person would have to notice the extra deposits (when the statement comes in or if they are younger, then never because they never look at anything but the available balance) then complain that money got deposited in their account. (odds of that happening... 0%) Otherwise they may just keep depositing in that account until your change activates.
  25. They have one at the airport, I always try to get a Spicy chicken biscuit before I take off. Yummy.
