  1. Mine did better this year than last, I got almost none last year, we had several months of good ones this year. I think I planted too early last year, the rains came and just drowned them. This year, we had rain, then we didn't just as i went out of town for several weeks, so the plants didn't get watered well. I started getting real small ones as they dried out. The Green Peppers did Good this year. I love a good garden pepper on my salad.
  2. Interesting point. I've often had trouble with attempting to say something funny on line and because of the lack of the side channels of expressions, it doesn't come out right. I can often recognize it because I grew up without it and can delete it before I screw up. (Though if you look through the archives on here you will see many times I failed) I hadn't though much about this generation or two that uses the emojis for everything because that's all they've know. That could explain a lot.
  3. Yep. Liked it when I needed a recommendation for something and posted it and got 5 or 6 *helpful* responses in the first hour or so. Seems like the fight over the "PRDs" was the beginning of politics taking over. Remember the "PRDs are Bad" thread that lasted *forever*. People used to discuss Gardening issues on here. Sure could have used them last summer as all my tomatoes died off. Heck, I bought several items (including all the light fixtures in the room I'm in now) from people placing for sale on Pcom. Met some fine people on here. There have to be some fun topi
  4. They be full of carp to say only 5 inches. I left a 5 gal bucket out last night and it had around 10 inches in it when i dumped it a few minutes ago. Our ditch out front is running like I've never seen before and we are only the forth house from the top.
  5. Just came over my cell phone in NW Paulding. Man, is that a lot of water out there.... Stay Dry Ya'll! I'll be the one draining water off the pool cover... That is all.
  6. Been actually living life... spent two days in deer stands in South Ga. Ref: Your question. I think the answer is Mostly Yes. The national GOP is happy now that they can point to the house as the reason for their complete lack of progress on the agenda they promise instead of having nothing to blame but their own incompetence. This is a big win for them. The national Dems are happy they have the house so they can pass bills they know are going to die in the Senate but that they can point to the GOP as the problem and tell their followers that they are "Fighting the good fig
  7. Only question I have is if the county is paying for it?
  8. Tried taking them downstairs and placing them in front of the basement windows last year. Not great sunlight but enough. However, I found that remembering to water them once a month was not enough... RIP. Hate to hear about a freeze, I've still got a few Green Peppers producing. I hate going back to store bought after getting them from the garden all summer.
  9. My wife and I met on a blind date in November, 1983. Married in August 1985.
  10. DXL had this tee shirt in the store that I almost picked up: I used to be a People Person ... but people ruined it for me.
  11. Next door neighbor used Tatum Tree Service to remove some 20+ trees and while there were here, I had them take down a 100' tall sweet gum that was concerning me on my side. It was right next to the neighbor's garage and fence and they got it down without an issue. They had a bucket truck they tried to use on the sweet gum, but it barely reached the lower limbs, that sucker was TALL.
  12. Yea, but clothing is one of those things that I like to try on first, and I *hate* dealing with mailing returns. Mainly because that means I have to drive to some downtown post office to mail them back.
  13. LOL, no, DXL Big and Tall. I'm both and nothing around here has ones that fit.
  14. I had to go to Hiram today to pick up an online ordered package from the local store. (Free home delivery was not available.) Holy carp, I won't do that again any time soon. If it's like this 4 weeks before Black Friday, I may try to not go down there until 2019. Does the traffic around here help you justify ordering on line? I often try to buy locally to keep the stores here for when I need something same day, but I was seriously stressed by the time I went to Hiram and then drove over to town center mall for some clothing.
  15. I'll be happy as the next person that we won't be dependent on the whims of the Cobb County Board or Water system for our water supply but the construction of the water main down 61N has been seriously annoying. I guess the rainy weather this spring and summer put them behind schedule because I thought it was supposed to be done this October and they seem to have quite a bit left to do. This has to be driving the School Bus Drivers crazy in the afternoons. Can't be helping the business owners on that stretch of road either. I missed the field day to go out and see the construct
  16. Yes its amazing what they can survive. Tough animals. A coworker ended up with one wrapped around his steering wheel when he hit it doing 70 in Wisconsin. Totaled that van let me tell you.
  17. Yeah, when our pastor hit a deer on his motorcycle, he had people come up and ask him if he wanted to keep the deer.
  18. Got an uncle in law that tried the last, and found the meat was pretty messed up by the impact. YMMV.
  19. Yes, with their regular eating/movement times being at dawn and dusk the time change will be putting their normal movements right in rush hour.
  20. Yep, it's November, and time for the White Tail Rut! Bucks will be Chasing Does through the woods at all times of the day and night and darting across roads with little or no warning at full speed. If you see a doe cross in front of you, be ready for the bucks that are following, don't let the wingman get you! It's expensive. Two years ago I hit a deer on Cedarcrest in my truck with 400 miles on it ($4000+) and a few days later my son hit one on 61N at full road speed and it totaled his car. I've seen two or three carcasses next the road in just the last week or so and it's goin
  21. Oh yea we get those too... I get them on my cell phone too. Or they come up "Unavailable" Caller ID lets you know who's there, but it doesn't stop the annoyance of the phones ringing for no good purpose.
  22. I am SO tired of the political calls. From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, it's call, after call, after call and we've already voted!! Article Link MODS: Put here because dislike of cold calls I think is universal. If this gets political, feel free to move...
  23. What year is the vehicle? According to the link below, after 2006, a dealer has to do the programming of the key and fob. How to program a key fob for a Chrysler
  24. Depending on the brand, the Fob may be a dealer item. Ford in particular even adding a new key is a dealer only item.
  25. Watched "Dawn of the Dead" at the Midnight Movies for Charity at Ackers Mill many, many years ago. The people there made it almost a comedy instead of horror film the way they yelled back at the screen. "Look out man!! Watch out, that Zombie coming up behind ya man!! Look Out!!"
