That always seems to be the case. Snow Jam 83 was just like this. Supposed to be a light dusting to come in that night. Instead it came up from the south at 3:00 PM in a massive snow fall. About the only time I've seen them get it right was the blizzard in 93, and even then it was worse than they predicted. NOAA is predicting another 3 inches tonight. I'm not sure my trees will survive. This may not be pretty.

Where are you in the county? -
I think I found the alleged snow.

Make sure the file is small enough to be uploaded. (Not sure the file size, but the 3 mb picture i had of the snow was too big) Then once uploaded, add to the post. This is a small one I had.

Man, this stuff is wet and heavy. My Pines are getting some serious lean on them. Getting concerned. Heard one limb give up the ghost already... ***Crack*** ***Wump***

My son reported seeing Paulding buses sliding trying to get to North Paulding complex so that may be a good thing.

Hope they can get in their homes.

Got about an inch or so on the deck in North Paulding. Roads and anywhere there is dirt is just wet.

Pretty much sums up the newspapers, phone companies and cable companies. They suddenly find ways to save you money when you call to cancel.
-
if I like something, I can be assured it will be cancelled pretty quick.

I think UPS is having the most issues, but I've heard of others saying Fedex, DHL and USPS all are having issues. Both of my packages are UPS. I had been avoiding e-merchants until this thing gets cleaned up, (January?), but had to order a marriage saving part for the dishwasher last night. Had it sent USPS, it might get here before the stuff ordered just after Thanksgiving!! Now that all of the shipping companies are so behind in there shipments, I can't see any way for them to get caught up before the Christmas shopping starts unless people start going to local stores.

I've been a GOP member forever, but this "reform" sucks for me. I had deductions over the new standard deduction last year due to Church giving. However, with them taking away the State and Local tax deduction, I won't make it over the new standard and will have to pay 25% on that $4,000 difference. Removing the allowances and their credit in a few years and many of those who *think* this bill is a good idea will change their minds when their tax bills jump $1000 or so. The Dems have it right for once, this bill sucks.

Ordered a monitor from Staples on Sunday Nov 26. Estimated delivery date of the 30th. Staples wasn't able to get it off their loading dock to UPS in New Jersey until the 29th. Since then the UPS tracking has been all over the place. It's be "out for delivery" at least twice, but never showed up and switches back to "in Transit" Just wondering if it's just me or if the "cyber week" just overloaded the Shipping companies. Good thing this was an expansion monitor and not something I needed this week.

Tried it once, not bad, but not my preferred style of food. They expanded awful fast, I wonder if they over extended.

Early in our marriage we would go to a cut it yourself tree farm. One year we got a tree and got it back home and two weeks later hundreds of little tiny spiders hatched out of it, they had gone cheap and only sprayed for bugs once that season, just before they opened. Another year, they had trimmed them late and the tips of the branches had dried, but not sealed. When we got it into water and the the warmth of the house, sap dripped out all over the floor and the ornaments. Wife was not happy. Son's issues was the third strike against live trees and they were out.

Save a couple of hundred on the house plan, Senate plan costs me a $1000 up front, then the rates expire in 2025 and I'm really screwed. Bah Humbug
-
We've had to go artificial since my son's allergies always got worse when we had a live tree. We now have 5 of them. (Family Tree, Snowman Tree, Angel Tree, Glass Ball Tree and Santa Tree)

I've been clearing some 100'+ trees in the back, I couldn't get the truck back there, and ended up purchasing two 1/4" wire ropes (1400 lb rating) and 2 hand cable pullers (2000 lb rating) and using them to make sure they fell the way I wanted. Only mistake I had was with a little 50 ft sweet gum, landed directly on one of the 4x4 posts that used to hold up my kids fort. (Could not have done it if I tried to hit it!!) it was mounted in concrete and still pounded that sucker 6" further into ground. Never underestimate the power of a falling tree!!

Yea, with the homes I see going up, get ready for another 120 million bond to show up on ballot soon....

Sixteen acres seems really large for just a Convenience store. Sounds like an entire shopping center. Wonder what else we could end up with? Dry cleaners? Small Restaurants? Grocery? Paulding county BOC documentation of Low Density Quality Residential District is here
