  1. If this is the case, call the Marshal. Posting on here won't help.
  2. You post way too much as well! NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!
  3. ...to reach 1,000 posts. Guess I post too much.
  4. I can not wait until they open!!! Academy Sports that is.
  5. We have been considering doing this very same thing. Once the youngest moves out of the house this is what we plan to do.
  6. Where is the drooling emoticon when you need it? Johnny's is the bomb!
  7. You know, I always thought that sex for seniors was passing each other in the hallway yelling "FU" to each other. Guess I was wrong after all.
  8. I don't know. My son is friends with him on Facecrook. After reading some of the things Jacob has written on his wall I tend to think that he and his friends really believe he did no wrong, or at least should not be punished for what he did. I, for one, am glad that this was offered to the Paulding Painters. At least the majority of them can start to move on now.
  9. It's been months since I've seen the Pubster. Looks like you are losing weight. Good for you Pubby.
  10. We were at Marietta Square this evening and noticed it there as well. Then the storm came. That was a sight to see.
  11. Pubby, you know that we love you, right? This is an intervention. You either have to stop smoking that stuff or at least share it with the rest of us!
  12. Good luck to all of you who live in this neighborhood with this. This was something that was zoned and approved as a commercial lot in the early 90's. Every one of you that bought a house in that neighborhood knew there was going to be a building built there sometime in the future. If you did not, well, you can blame your real estate agent for that little bit of information not passed on to you. I am sure if enough of you take up a collection and buy out the property and pay the cost that the Dollar General paid for the civil drawings, the geotechnical exploration, the permits an any o
  13. So instead of a nice building you would rather have a partially developed lot with no trees on it now? That's real good. You stated that the current committee does not support this. Who on the committee does not support this? Tell us who you talked to in the County that gave you the rest of this information? Complain to Dollar General in an effort to let them know they are not welcome? What county official would say this about a respectable business coming into our county? This is not a flipping strip joint. It's a dollar store for crying out loud. Foot traffic? Please. There alread
  14. Bull cheese Pubby. Take your blinders off. This was Race Baiting and you know it.
  15. Camera angle could be playing tricks with what we see. Interesting to know where his property line is. With the plat posted in this thread we can figure it out real easy. Think I'll drive by there sometime to take a picture at the property line from the street and post it.
  16. Looks like they left the 25' buffer. A buffer is a vegetative strip of land between parcels. It is thin, but it is a natural buffer. Maybe if you approach Planning and Zoning calmly they may be able to see if they can make the owner plant more trees when they are done. Screaming and shouting will only get you the minimum. I know it sucks that you have to look at this; however, you do not own the view. Remember, you knew one day a building was going to be built there when you bought your house. Talk calmly with the contractor to see if he can give you a bone or two. Again, screaming
  17. Interesting. Why didn't the press use this kid's mugshot instead of the picture they used? Talk about media manipulation.
  18. I have seen the plans and have talked to P&Z and Development. Most of the trees were NOT cleared. (Maybe where the building is going but not the buffer.) In fact, the original plan was to put the fence on the property line, build a slope and put back 25' buffer of trees. The county made them put a retaining wall at the buffer line and put the fence on top of the wall to save the trees and help obscure your view of the building. A simple call to the County is all it took to get this information. The original zoning, 20 some years ago, called for a 10' high fence on your property
