Yes, say a prayer and be thankful I'm not the one needing assistance or the one being chased.
-
Being 'scary' and not being necessary are two very different things. If you needed assistance in an emergency, would you want them to drive 25 MPH to get to you or would you want them to hurry? Whenever I see any kind of police activity, I get out of the way and let them have the right of way.

You're exactly right!!! You'd be surprised at some of the information 911 operators are given during any given situation, when in fact, there may not be a situation at all. They can only relay what they are being told and responders can only react to that same information. I think that LE is better trained than to mow down pedestrians in the Walmart parking lot while responding to a call.

Apparently, I do too. I kept hearing songs on the radio I liked a lot and then I saw him preform on some music show never realizing who it was until my daughter said one day, 'Man, I love Bruno Mars'.

Your trash service is $5.00 a month?

Why would someone take a picture of my car?

Thanks for the Kool-aid on the computer screen!!!!  -
OMG, I remember this episode too! It's ironic because when I was little I wanted to be two people, Laura Petree on The Dick Van Dyke show and Mary Richards on The MTM show. It wasn't until much later that I realized that those characters were played by the same person! And Dick Van Dyke was on TV before I was even born and it's still one of my favorites today.

I would think it would have gotten there by Saturday. Maybe they have received it, but haven't processed it or posted it. It's frustrating I know. Good luck.

Always have.

I just heard on the news that Valerie Harper has terminal brain cancer and may have as little as 3 months to live. I always loved her character Rhoda on Mary Tyler More. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20679402,00.html?xid=rss-topheadlines

I'm sorry your yard is a mess, but isn't it great when you have friends who rush to your rescue no matter what? It does a heart good, I swear!!!!!!!

I'm obviously behind the curve because I missed all of this yesterday. Then I wake up this morning and school closings are running across the bottom of the TV screen. Where have I been?!?! -
So Dennis Rodman can add Diplomatic liaison
dawneykids replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
So, it's not just me then? He's scary looking AND oh, so STUPID!!!! Did he really think that for a moment that he would breeze into the White House, walk into the oval office and proceed to tell the President how to handle that other nut basket in North Korea? And then the media actually putting him on news programs to talk about it? They're just as stupid as he is. -

Agreed. If it's so great over there, maybe he could go and stay. People really will do ANYTHING to get their name in the news again. He's pathetic. -
What an idiot! Whether he is a fool or not has never been in question, but it seems that Kim Jong Un is his new 'bestie'. So he visits North Korea, plays basketball and schmoozes with this other well known loon, comes home and has a message for the White House? SERIOUSLY?!?! What a DUMBA$$! This has been all over the news, IS THIS NEWS? Not in my world. I wouldn't take DR's word for what the time is, much less listen to him wax on about what a nice guy Un is. Good Lord. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/kerry-diplomat-rodman-great-basketball-player-141854223--politics.html

What can I do after work on the side to earn extra money?
dawneykids replied to sharee.smith's topic in RECENT TOPICS
There is an outlay of about $600.00 to get started in this. It is legit, but some may not have the money upfront to get started. But you don't live in India, how can you possibly be a customer service rep? -
Then it's darn good that you found out before you married him. Good luck on your dating adventures, I would be scared to death.

She wasn't in the nursing home, she was in assisted living, not the same thing. -

I do wonder why if the daughter is OK with the outcome and it is the policy of the facility, why is this all over the news and who blabbed it? The 911 operator certainly shouldn't have called the media, I can't imagine that the nurse would have, so what's the deal? -

It wasn't a nursing home, it was an assisted living facility. According to the news on tv and in the paper, it is like an apartment complex where most people can live on their own and they have nurses and aids as a precaution. Not the same thing as a nursing home at all.
