  1. If that's the case, then again, they were shooting themselves in the foot. Monthly subscriptions of Netflix have no late fees, you pay the monthly rate and if you keep a DVD for a year, you still pay just the monthly fee, nothing more. With Redbox and Blockbuster Express you pay just the daily fee until you return it. Late fee policy helped kill them and that's their own fault. The demise of corner Blockbuster stores has absolutely nothing to do with the economy. Misguided marketing and bad policy buried them. I also had BB online for a time and their service was nowhere what Netflix is. I
  2. That is correct and my 911 daughter is horrified. She has been in similar situations and the frustration of that is past what most people can comprehend.
  3. I'm shocked that that store held on as long as it did. They shot themselves in the foot when they started with Blockbusteronline, they were competing against themselves for goodness sake. Who wants to go to a store when you can get what you want in your mailbox? Not to mention Netflix and Redbox.
  4. Try Goodwill. We got my daughter a 27" Curtis Mathis that has a GREAT picture for $3.73 at the one in Kennesaw. They had lots and lots of tv's and I guess since they aren't flat screens, they price them to move. That was 2 weeks ago.
  5. You're kidding, right? A bullet is a negative mark you get on Pcom when you violate the rules. No threats were made, look in the rules.
  6. There has been no mention of a DNR. It is the 'policy' of the facility not to ever do CPR, but to call for help instead. Maybe her family should have done better research before she moved in. This is a horrible situation and it's good to know that the nurse at this place valued her employment more than the life of an 87 year old woman, she must be sleeping like a baby at night.
  7. I do remember a thread about needing engagement ring suggestions to go with the band they had chosen.
  8. OK, so it's not just me it's been DRIVING CRAZY?? Makes me feel a little better.
  9. Exactly! Just because a kid makes gun noises and points anything pretending to be a gun, it has ABSOLUTELY no bearing on whether or not they'll grow up and be murders. Suspension over a gun shaped Poptart? Completely and absolutely RIDICULOUS.
  10. Hubby has had 3 16 hour days in a row working outside, he's frozen and tired. He does not like winter and snow showers!
  11. I voted no. It is what it is and it's a personal choice to participate or not. Suggestions are made all the time and sometimes they are implemented and sometimes not. It's not my website, I can either like it or leave it, it's the same for everyone else.
  12. That's not what I heard!! OHHH, you meant cooking!!!!!
  13. Boys shoot things with play guns, that's what they do. Are they going to start hacking off their fingers when they pretend their index finger is a gun? 5th grader was not raised around guns of any kind until he was about 8. When he was 2 or 3 he was pointing his finger and saying 'bang'. Cowboys and Indians, ever heard of it? It's a game, they shoot at each other.........OH the travesty...............the criminals it's spawning!!!!!!!!!! POPPYCOCK!!!!!!!!! When common sense can't even be used with a Poptart, we're all in trouble.
  14. When my oldest daughter was in 2nd grade, I got a call from the principal and her 2nd grade teacher. They said that they had an important issue to discuss that they were both concerned about. Of course the more they tapped danced around the issue, the more upset I became thinking that she was missing or had stabbed someone. They proceeded to tell me that at lunch after she had finished eating, that she had put her lunch bag on her head like a hat...........I waited for the rest of the story, the horrible emergency she had caused, but nothing else came. Before I lost my mind, I clarified with
  15. That's crazy, I agree. I was behind a lady at the Publix pharmacy last week. We had been talking and no matter what her meds are, there is a $40.00 copay per prescription, regardless. I asked her about Rx's that would be less than that without ins, which could be many, and she said it didn't matter. The ins company said that eventually it all evened out. Our co pay is $5.00 per Rx. I would hate to pay MORE for an Rx than it cost without ins.
  16. Jump Its is behind Greystone Power, it's great!!
  17. My daughter got 3 filled for my grandson about a month ago, including breathing treatment and inhaler and they were $10.00 each. And Hubby gets his blood pressure meds at Publix for free like you said. I always take the Publix antibiotic list with me to the dr in case one on the free list will work for our ailments. I like free.
  18. You can get them filled at Paulding Hospital for $10.00 or so each for most things they prescribe.
