I agree, same with Lockheed. I have a friend that has worked at Lockheed for 27 years and I swear that every time he opens his paycheck, he's always looking for a pink slip. According to him, he HAS NEVER had job security. Has the economy been bad for that entire time I wonder?

I would think at least $100.00.

I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, huff, chew tobacco, have sex with strangers unprotected or otherwise, hang with a bad crowd, play Russian roulette, etc. I definitely eat too much salt. Oh well, I guess I've chosen my poison.

WHAT THE HE!! IS OFFENSIVE ABOUT THIS BABYS FB PAGE????????? Some people just don't need to exist. -
Hubby doesn't either. EVER. We have more than one set of friends who'll call and say, 'Hey, there's a great buffet at (you fill in the blank), why don't y'all go with us'? We never go.

Baby Shot in his Stroller---WTH? is Wrong with People?
dawneykids replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I agree with you, I read the story in the paper and that's exactly what I told Hubby. Something doesn't seem right. -
No, but we were in and out pretty fast. They had 50 rds of 45 for $21.00 and 500 rds for $205.00. It wasn't hard to convince him to get the 500 rounds! No, dryer after ammo, it was on the way.

FYI..........The customers who have Waste Industries in our neighborhood still haven't had their trash picked up this week and p/u day was yesterday. There are cans and cans at every other house and none have been picked up. They never came this week. No idea what the problem is, but I hope it gets straightened out soon because it looks horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hubby found 45 ACP ammo at Ga Arms this morning and bought 500 rounds, he's a happy guy. Then he bought the new Speed Queen dryer, I'm a happy gal. I can't wait to fire the dryer up to see if it works as well as the washer does. WOOHOO!!!

Meet the Lady Challenging the Defense of Marriage Act

Me neither. I guess if the government decides to tax something, they can do whatever they want. It sucks and is beyond wrong. Like you said, the money/property has already been taxed and you should be able to leave your money to whoever you want to without penalty. Whos big idea was this tax? -
I thought you were joking!! What a bunch of dumba$$es!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've had Trash Taxi for a year and a half I have never been happier with a trash service. They have never missed a pickup and they are the only company that comes at the same time every week within 30 minute time frame. They don't leave trash on the curb or in the road, they leave the extra can we leave out, upright and not laying on the ground. It's $45.00 per quarter. We're in New Hope too.

We have almost the same pic of 5th grader on his 10 b'day, but the rifle he is holding is a more traditional Ruger 10/22. This entire dust up over a proud little kid, is BEYOND RIDICULOUS!!!!!! This dad handled it just like he should have.

Get a new phone and the next thing you know....
dawneykids replied to CitizenCain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
That would scare me, I'd ditch that phone. YIKES! -
No, I don't. Being gay isn't the same thing as being a pedophile. I didn't lump all Christians with Westboro, it's a joke that Westboro considers themselves and their actions as Christian. Most in this thread got that.

Try West Metro Meats, if they can't help they at least probably know where to send you.

A long time friend and employee, a good employee, did that on Sunday at Hubbys work. And this guy has been driving a truck forever.

We're painting our house this spring and Hubby told me to pick whatever colors I wanted. He may have messed up, cause I really like the rainbow look! I wonder if I could get away with it?? I'm thinkin' NO!!! D-A-M-N!!!!!!!!

Another nail in the coffin for the 1 cent store.......
dawneykids replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It's not just you, I agree. In my world, a more proper response would have been something like this: Dear Mrs.XXXX, We are so very sorry that your experience with our online store wasn't a pleasant one. Hopefully, if given the opportunity, we will regain your confidence in JCP and you will once again be a satisfied customer. There are many changes happening in our company at this time and our goal is to keep loyal customers, as well as gain new ones. blah, blah, blah..................................... -
Glad to hear everything went so well and her name if beautiful. Congratulations to you and your family.

OMG! Are you kidding me?? That shocked me and I'm pretty jaded. Christians?! As I've said before, I can say I'm a tall, blue eyed, long legged blond and it will never make it true. Just like the disgusting animals can say their 'Christians' all day long and it WILL NEVER BE TRUE.
-
Don't ya' just love the way that word is bandied about? 'Well, I'm a 'christian' and I'm right'. REALLY? HHHHHMMMMMMMMMMM!

Cooler weather, chance of snow to follow Monday’s storms

We always have to fight the urge to plant on the first pretty day in March or even early April. Hubby was all gung ho this past weekend and I reminded him of the year a while back we planted and planted, spent lots of money and it all froze the 2nd week in April. Nope. No more, it's tempting though. -
I like it, but Westboro may burn it down............in the name of God of course.

People applying for jobs kill me!
dawneykids replied to its mr sarcastic to you's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Exactly. Hubby recently applied for a different job at his own company and he worked for a week to make sure his resume' was exactly what they had asked for, that his clothes were ready and pressed, shoes shined, hair cut and groomed, nails clean, etc. And this for a company he's been with for 29 years and they know him and know that he is an exemplary employee. He was their second choice, but it wasn't because he wasn't prepared. You have to act like you really want the job being offered because you can bet 100 other people want it too and you certainly don't want to stand out because
