Not if you use the correct finish......I knows these things. DO NOT use the exterior urethanes you can buy at HD or Lowes. It is junk and has no UV protection. The finish that WORKS is an industrial coating from Sherwin Williams, called "Sher-Clear". It's expensive ($90/gal) but it lasts and lasts. I apply it with a small foam roller and the door looks like a Steinway piano after 5-6 coats. It dries in about 45 minutes for another application, so it is a one-day project.

Doors. Fiberglass is not real popular as compared to wood or steel. If you want a natural/stained look, wood is it. If you want painted doors, why pay all the $$$ for fiberglass vs the cost of a steel door? You really gain nothing with fiberglass. I have known the Caldwells for 13-14 years. I had not seen them much over the past 4 or 5 years, and I only knew of his illness through reports from other mutual friends. I always liked Billy Gene's personality and friendliness. Jeanie? Not so much. When a friend called to tell me about the death/fire, I frankly wasn't surprised. Saddened, yes.
