  1. My parents gave me something similar as a kid. Along those lines, this works too. Good for a sore throat also. Bärenjäger http://www.barenjagerhoney.com/home.aspx
  2. If you read the whole thread you would realize I could care less if someone kills a coyote. I was just hoping they could trap the pit bulls as well.
  3. It might not be an option. I don't think they like to give it out because of the hydrocodone in it. But it really helps with the cough and other symptoms. The down side is you can't drive (or really do too much) when you are taking it. It doesn't treat the flu, just helps manage the symptoms.
  4. I'm guessing his primary care provider will not give it to him (because he said to tough it out), but Tussionex is great. You don't even know you are sick.
  5. Being nosey is not really a good reason to call. If they need you to know what is going on, they will figure out how to let you know. The folks in there already have enough going on. Plus you could be tying up a resource needed for a real emergency.
  6. I was going to say the same thing. Except volunteer 2 of my girls. If you need anything, let me know, I'm sure they would love to help.
  7. haha. Just like a pit bull owner to compare a pit bull bite to a bite of any other dog. You should seriously take a step back and at least understand the facts. Owning a pit bull is kind of like buying a gun that just goes off by itself. "my gun was so nice, I don't understand why it shot someone". ignorance is bliss
  8. Lowes in Acworth had a white Bosch (stainless inside) close out model that was clearanced the other day when I was there. Reg $600 down to about $400. Not sure if it is still there but it was a good buy.
  9. I agree the power button could be placed better (volume buttons would be nice too). I have not experienced the other issues, but I have not used the Fire much. My kids have them and love them. Amazon released a patch to address the other items you listed (probably why I never noticed them). I've only notice the power button to be a pain when I'm trying to unplug the device. http://informationweek.com/news/personal-tech/tablets/232301032
  10. I've only heard of minor complaints, like no physical volume buttons, etc. Can you elaborate on the negative feedback? I've experienced really good customer service from Amazon when my original kindle had screen issues. They sent me a new one at no charge even after I told them I believed it was damaged in the backpack of one of my kids. I had called to inquired about screen repair and they went well above and beyond what I would have expected. For $199, it is really hard to beat. I'm not a big apple fan (we finally got rid of our 4 iphones and moved to android). The Fire is a
  11. I didn't get that from the article. I'm guessing there is a lot more to this than what is being reported.
  12. I've read all of your replies on this topic and you really have no clue how lending works. You say you 25 years of experience in this business - can you elaborate a little? I'm guessing it is little more than some sort of secretarial/support type job. You've tried to sound like you know what you're talking about by throwing a few industry type words around (used them incorrectly), but it is blatantly obvious you have no real experience in actual lending. As I'm thinking about it, your responses might actually sound legitimate to someone that has no real understanding of how lending
  13. BS. If your son was 'knocked unconscious' as you stated, I find it hard to believe you waited around for him to wake up, not call 911, and take him to a chiropractor. I could see he was hit hard, had some pain, and you took him to the chiropractor. That sounds more realistic. I seriously doubt your level of training, understanding and judgment given you said he was knocked unconscious but it wasn't probable he had a concussion given the mechanism of injury. That makes no sense. I hate sitting in an ER just like everyone else, but I would not take a chance on a head bleed that my ch
  14. I'm guessing there is a good reason when you go to the hospital you are not treated by a chiropractor. If it actually worked so well, the emergency rooms would be staffed with chiropractors. Or when you called 911 they would send an ambulance full of chiropractors. Turns out most people want actual solutions to their problems. I'm sure it feels good to have your back cracked by someone, but I could never bring myself to see one. I imagine the adjustments might help with something, but it seems like many folks try to use them to fix everything. Kind of reminds me of Jim Jones and his K
  15. I've never come across anyone doing this but I'm sure someone is. I've heard of kids making pot/vodka tincture and dropping it under the tongue. Also heard of them making juice wine in their closets. It is hard to keep up with everything they try/do.
  16. Yeah, that is crazy. Would need gap insurance for something like that. I just think they are more reputable. None are a great option. I'd go for the cheapest thing I could pay cash for. Even if it was $500.
  17. Buy here pay here is not a great way to go, but if it is all you can do I guess you don't have much of a choice. I know nothing about that dealer, but I can tell you a lot of those dealers buy the cheapest car at auction they can and mark it way up. Sometimes the vehicle has been repossessed multiple times by that one dealer. They can make a lot of money on 1 car. They don't have a lot of care if you stay in the car or not, because they are going to make their money on that car either way. If you options are limited, I'd check out DriveTime. Little more reputable than the average b
  18. Fleet could mean it was part of a fleet of rentals. Generally it means the driver did not likely own it. Sometimes when folks don't own something they don't take as good of care. Could be good or bad. It might have been part of a fleet that was well cared for and had scheduled preventative maint. Easy thing to do is take it to CarMax to have it appraised. In their quick appraisal they will likely find anything major that is wrong with the car, and list it on the appraisal. Or you can pay a shop to inspect the vehicle.
