As I would think most would.

When my 17 year old goes off with to a lake close to our neighborhood with one of his friends, he will call and ask what time he should be home. I always tell him before dark or your grounded. They are of foot so I don't want him gone after dark. They also go and help our older neighbors with yard work. But, I sill insist he is home before dark. I know he's 17, but a lot can happen, either to his own fault or no fault to his own. Luckily, he understands this too. It is not like it was when I was growing up. There are some mean kids (teens) out there now.

Exactly my point.

Did anyone hear about this? Pregnant Woman Beaten by 12 SANFORD -- Twelve people, including several juveniles, are under arrest, charged with beating a pregnant woman in Seminole County. Seminole County Sheriff’s deputies said they responded to the area of Daffadil Terrace and Lacy Lane just after 10 p.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, they found several subjects in the front yards of two homes. Ashley Flournoy, who is six months pregnant, sustained injuries to her head from the beating, deputies said http://baynews9.com/content/news/baynews9/news/article.html/conten

Throughout this whole case I have been thinking about the 12, 13, 14 and older teen thugs. I am in NO way saying all teens are thugs, but there are some out there. There's one in a neighborhood close to mine and he's 15. He is already been breaking into homes and stealing cars. I worry about him getting his hands on a gun. It would be rather easy because he does break into homes. He could steal one from a home he has broken into. What it really boils down to is, parent need to keep their teens in check. I know where my 17 year old is, who he is with at all times. I make sure he has his ce

Door to door health insurance salesmen?

Even with my 17, almost 14 and 12 year old boys at home I will not answer the door. I look out the windows to see who it is and what kind of vehicle they are driving, but I refuse to go to the door. What really creeps me out is if they are walking and no vehicle is around. I am going to print this out, put it in a frame and hang it on my door! They only time we answer the door is for girl scout cookies! and hubby has to be home. -
I appreciate your apology. For the record, I'm not moving. I love PC. It's my home. I just remember when Yorkville was nothing more than dirt roads. I grew up on Villa Rica Hwy (Hwy 61) next to Pine Ridge Church, and it was so quiet and peaceful even on a main road. We did not have a Kmart, Walmart or mush else. I remember having to go to Villa Rica or Douglassville to buy groceries. I miss those days. I understand some growth is good for the county, but I also understand with growth come more crime. I want to feel safe and I want my kids to feel safe.

I have lived in PC since I was born and I think PC has gotten TOO big.

Although it was my son who had tubes in his ears, I will tell you about the experience. He started having ear infection when he was 8 months old. He was CONSTANTLY on antibiotics and steroids as well as ear drop antibiotics and ALL at the same time. We finally got the ear infection cleared long enough to get the tubes in. When he went back for his post-op he had another ear infection. He ended up with FIVE sets of tubes in his ears. With the 5th set, I took him to a different doctor and after he examined my son we agreed he needed his tonsils and adenoids removed as well as the tubes in h

How do you feel your child should be punished?

We spanked ours when they were younger. If we were in public, I had a little trick and mine didn't really miss behave. I would fix up a lunch box of snacks and juice, set my son in the back of the buggy and give them their lunchbox. They were happy go lucky while I was shopping. They couldn't have cared less about anything. They had their snack and juice! Now that mine are teens, disconnecting the internet works wonders! Once it is disconnected, all three come into the living room and ask, "Did you disconnect the internet?" I say yep. Then they will find the undone chore(s) and complete t -
I just asked my son who is going into the 7th grade this year. He said he learned in 3rd grade.

My two youngest 12 and 13, learned to write in cursive. I don't remember what grade they learned, but I know they learned and can write in cursive. However, they are not made to do their work in cursive. I remember learning it in second grade and from that point on we were made to do all our work in cursive. But, we also had penmanship which was done daily.

PCHS has always been awful to pull out. When I went to PCHS it was awful to pull out. There were always wrecks in front of the school. I remember one morning someone got killed in one of those wrecks. I figured they'd put up a light then, but nope, they didn't. -

I remember after my oldest was born, my parents would leave their door unlocked for me if I were going to their house and they were leaving. I also remember hubby and I able to leave the door unlocked when we would leave. This was less than 20 years ago. People had a lot more respect for other people back then. Now, I will not even run to the connivance store without locking my door. -

I think this was a good change. -
I have to say that is honestly the first time EVER my kids have been referred to as hooligans. And I find it quite funny considering I get complements ALL the time about how well mannered and respectful my kids are. As a matter of fact, just two weeks ago I was in a store with my oldest and youngest boys. As we were walking around my oldest saw one of our neighbors I have not ever met. My son spoke first with "Hey Mr. ____" My son introduced us and the first thing my neighbor said to me was, "I am very impressed with your son. He is a very respectful young man. He has a good future in front of

That reminds me of a friend of mine. She is big and a few years ago she went to the grocery store (I don't remember which one) and after she had all her groceries on the belt and walked over in front of the cashier, another worker said something to the cashier and the cashier said, "As soon as I finish ringing up all this junk food." My friend said something to her about it not being junk food. IT was their meals for the week. The cashier said, "No, this is all just junk food." My friend had bought groceries, and a few snack items.

That's like saying since my dad was an alcoholic that I would be too, or I would suppress the urge to drink. Hum, that's strange because I cannot even stand the smell of any kind of alcohol. It stinks and I'm sure not going to put something in my mouth I do not like the smell of. My husband's mother drinks, my husband does not. When we are around her and she starts to drink I leave the room or we just go home. I can smell the stinky stuff a mile away and can not stand it! EWWW I guess alcohol to me is like cigarette smoke to some people.

Our subdivision is on a mountain. All the rain water runs down to the coldascack. A few weeks ago when we were getting all the heavy rain my 12 year old looked outside and said, "We are going to flood!" I said no we aren't we are on a mountain and it all runs down to the coldasack. He said," I feel sorry for them people."

One thing that has us confused is, weeks AFTER we got our assessment in the mail, a guy from the county came by. He knocked on the door and said he was doing measurements from the outside of the house for tax purposes. OK, that's fine and dandy, but WHY was the measurements taken AFTER I got the assessment? Does this mean it can change and I could get another assessment?
