  1. So far, everybody I know who has checked on the insurance has had a substantial increase in their policy. Our insurance was cancelled last month due to it not meeting Obamacare standards. When we tried to get new insurance for some reason they decided they didn't want to cover my husband, who has been insured forever. Now we have to go with this new stuff---I'm excited to see how much ours jumps up in price.
  2. Very nice! We built an outdoor fireplace, and were suprised at how much time we spend out there. Heck, our kids spend almost as much time as us out there. It has brought our family closer together. They even bring their dates and friends out there.
  3. My daughter just got engaged and will be getting married next fall. Everyone at the venues we have looked at suggested a wedding planner. Does anybody have recommendations if they used one--and if so, who did you use, and were you happy with them? Also, what kind of money are we talking about to have one?
  4. The Old Mill Pottery House is the best restaurant in Pigeon Forge. Home made bread, soups, and desserts. http://www.old-mill.com/cms/default/assets/File/PHC%20To%20Go.pdf This is a link to the menu.
  5. I just went to a funeral of a friend who died in a car crash and the widow stood up and announced that her husband would not want anybody to be crying, and you could only stand up and tell funny stories about him. There was still a lot of crying, but that was still contentment, I believe, for his children to see that he lived such a fun life. Don't sweat the small stuff. If you can look back and laugh at the situation a year from now, it's not so bad.
  6. Yeah, he needs to shut up talking about the economy at a time like this. He starts out talking about the shooting in Washington, and turns it into a Republican bashing!
  7. I remember when I was in school and got beat up by a boy, my mom took a billy club in the principal's office with her and was going to use it on the principal if they suspended me. These days she would have been locked up and I probably would have been thrown out of school. Back then, it was kind of funny to think my mom was going to stand up for me against the principal. I guess that's where I get my craziness from because I would probably still do the same!
  8. AT the time of our robberies we didn't have guns (or I should say ammunition for the ones we had). Since then, I have purchased several guns and learned how to use them really well. I am not above using them for mine or my family's protection.
  9. It's bad when you have to take the law into your own hands. My house was burglarized a few times.e We caught the person, he confessed to the police, was put in jail, then got bonded out. When we went to court the other day I was there, he was not. "We" paid for him a public defender to plead "non-guilty" for him. Now I am waiting to go to court again. I have warrants for him in City of Hiram, Paulding County, Polk County, and Douglas County, all the places he has stolen from us. Had I known how the justice system worked I probably would have done things differently, but then I would
  10. Ours went up. Guess it was because I pulled my gun on them when I caught them snooping around my backyard. Just happened to look outside in the middle of the day and saw 2 guys walking around my pool. There were 5 cars in my driveway. You would have thought they knew how to ring the doorbell. Anyway, I guess I scared them into raising my taxes.
  11. The aloe vera miracle: A natural medicine for cancer, cholesterol, diabetes, inflammation, IBS, and other health conditions…Must Share • Halts the growth of cancer tumors. • Lowers high cholesterol. • Repairs “sludge blood” and reverses “sticky blood”. • Boosts the oxygenation of your blood. • Eases inflammation and soothes arthritis pain. • Protects the body from oxidative stress. • Prevents kidney stones and protects the body from oxalates in coffee and tea. • Alkalizes the body, helping to balance overly acidic dietary habits. • Cures ulcers, IBS, Crohn’s disease and other d
  12. I just read an article on Aloe Vera. It's supposed to prevent kidney stones. I can't vouch for it because I've never had them, but Aloe Vera juice is one of those natural remedies that is good for lots of stuff. I'm getting some today because it is also good for lowering cholesterol. My husband will be taking it starting tomorrow! Hope your daughter feels better and gets her strength back!
  13. It needed a lot of work to pass inspections. The guy I sold it for bought it at auction, then he sold it with owner financing, so there didn't have to be any inspections or appraisals. I know the plumbing and electrical was horrible!
  14. Will somebody pm me if they know who the family is? I know of a couple in that neighborhood that it sounds like it could be. Can't get in touch with any of their friends to find out if it's them.
  15. I was the real estate agent that sold it to a church a few years back. The church started doing some remodeling, then I heard that they put it back up for sale. They never met as a church there, so I don't know what happened after that.
  16. I've had them. They are delicious! They taste like Dunkin Donuts when they were actually made in the store and didn't come in frozen.
  17. Are the white people going to "silently" protest this?
  18. I like the California Chicken Salad from O'Charleys, but for a cheap salad Wendys had their Berry Almond Chicken Salad which is pretty good.
  19. I'm willing to participate, but I don't exactly know what you plan on doing. Are we donating an item so somebody can buy it and then give the money to Spencer's family?
  20. I didn't go to the door because I wasn't dressed, but I looked out the window. It was a black heavy set lady dressed fairly nice holding a bottle of Spic N Span. When she left, I noticed a black man driving in a gold and maroon van. If I had seen her to begin with, I would have opened the door with my AR-15 in hand. I remember reading on here that this is a decoy for break-ins. If they come back I am ready for them, and so are my kids. We all have guns and know how to use them. We work hard for our money and have already been robbed a few times. Fool me once, but never again!!!!
