  1. Warehouse of Hope always needs volunteers. It is a good place for teens. It's on Hunter Road going 92 toward Douglasville
  2. We drive it all the time. It is pretty much 4 lane all the way now.
  3. I've been told Candice Bergen when she played Murphy Brown and Stevie Nicks.
  4. Yes, and he learned his lesson, and has worked very hard to pay the fine, but I still think the price is outrageous!!! His dad turned right on red from Chastain Rd onto Cobb Pkwy where there was a sign that said no right turn on red and that was $180.00. My son stopped, although not completely, which I know is wrong, but there were no cars at the other 3 stop signs so he wasn't putting any lives in danger. He is a good driver, and this is his first offense, and like I said, he has learned his lesson. It's just hard for an 18 year old in school to come up with that kind of money.
  5. My son got a ticket in Douglas County for not coming to a complete stop. It is his first ticket and the GSP got him. The cost of the ticket is $251.25, which I think is outrageous!
  6. Praying for you to feel better and to finish your pregnancy with no more issues. My son, who is your son's age, was born at 23 weeks, and I was sick the whole pregnancy--no bueno! After he was born, I was back to feeling good again. I pray that you will feel better now and not have to go through the whole pregnancy being sick.
  7. Beans sound delicious!!! My favorite flavored pinto beans are from Bojangle's but I can't quite make them like that myself. Haven't tried them with chili sauce and cumin, but that sounds good.
  8. We had potato soup and corn bread. I have been freezing all day from being outside so I wanted something to warm my bones!
  9. I've used the search engine and nothing comes up...HELP!!!
  10. OOOHhh!!! I just looked on Pinterest and there are all kinds of ideas for shooters!! Thanks, y'all! I also think I'll try a shrimp cocktail in them, kind of like the oyster thingee.
  11. I have some really pretty glasses and want to use them for something besides shots.
  12. If you like jalapeno poppers--this tastes just like it. Jalapeno Dip Recipe http://americanfood.about.com/od/appetizersandsoups/r/Jalapeno_Dip.htm?r=et
  13. I think I have watched that movie over a million times and can memorize probably over half of it. My kids grew up watching it and my oldest daughter IS a Dennis the Menace!!!
  14. My husband called me to say he was going out of town and wanted me to meet him in the parking lot where he was working to tell me goodbye. I was sitting in the car and he was standing outside the car talking and all of a sudden he said, "hold on a second, I have to pee." Then he reached down the front of his pants and pulled out a ring and said, "do you want this?" It was the most romantic proposal, so I had to say YES!!!
  15. Thank you!!! I was waiting on a chiropractor to respond to this thread.
  16. I wish I had seen your post before I went to Walmart! I just bought one by Farberware for $59.00. So far, all of the reviews I have read have been positive. I will give it a try.
  17. I have a recipe I want to make that calls for a food processor, but I know I would rarely use one, so any opinions on a good, inexpensive one???????
  18. Back in the 60's and early 70's when chiropractors were thought of as "quacks" my dad would adjust probably half the doctors at Kennestone in Marietta, but they made him promise not to tell anyone. Chiropractors go to school a lot longer than general practitioners and they have to learn the entire anatomy just like an MD. I'm not knocking doctors either. My son was born when I was 23 weeks pregnant, and wieghed 1 pound and 2 ounces. He was in the hospital for 3 months, and had several surgeries that the chiropractor could not perform. I brought him home weighing 3 pounds and
  19. I guess since I was a chiropractor's daughter that I probably know a little bit more about what is treated by aligning your spine. My son was asthmatic and went to a chiropractor for it, he is asthma free today! My sister had allergies and went to the chiropractor for that, she is pretty much allergy free now, (except she claims she is allergic to dust! I think she just doesn't like to clean house!) I was epileptic as a teen and outgrew that. yes, I did take Dilantin, but I also had regular adjustments. I came from a family of 6 kids and we didn't go to a regular doctor unle
