  1. Wow! Great people and great ideas - always willing to help. Paulding is a great place to be!
  2. So terribly sad - praying for this person. I hope that she can find help and comfort.
  3. Well, it IS the Redneck Riviera........... Been going for years, and the service has been pretty decent. There are a lot of changes going on though. Maybe getting to be more like Destin? Sorry you had a not-so-great experience.
  4. I started watching this by accident one day, and..............what can I say? It's like a train wreck - you know it's going to be awful, but it's hard to look away! Only in America can a bunch of shallow fools make cottage industries of themselves. Go figure....
  5. Man, I couldn't believe this - another blow for this family?! Prayers for all involved, including the young brother (who is a good kid and has had more than his share of tragedy in the past months), and for the wife and small child of the driver. Also, my heart goes out to the family of the man that was killed. The first tragedy, in which the younger brother was the driver, was an unfortunate accident. This second incident was preventable. It bothers me that little brother was involved in this one as well, and it's very fortunate that he wasn't injured or killed as a result of his brother'
  6. Yes - a young man pulled out in front of someone on a motorcycle - the man on the motorcycle was killed. The driver was charged with DUI, open container, failure to yield right-of-way, and vehicular homicide in the first degree. Unfortunately, his younger brother was in the car as well. The family of the driver and his younger brother have already been through another recent tragedy. Prayers are needed here. So terribly sad for all involved.
  7. Any chance - ANY teeny chance at all - that anyone else smells a publicity stunt here? The poor child said she was bullied at school because of her looks. I'll bet she was - I guess it IS possible to be too good-looking, isn't it? And lastly, that porn-star posturing and that thing she does with her mouth......crazy! She looks like she's about to eat him alive. I wonder if he was always the geeky guy that couldn't get the hot girl, and he's making up for it now - in a VERY creepy way? Geez!
  8. I AM very curious as to where Casey will go after her release. It would indeed be something if her parents took her back in. You never know........
  9. And you make some excellent points here, as well. You are quite right - and my mother always said that to some people, negative attention is better than no attention at all.
  10. A lot of circumstantial evidence here - I truly believe Casey had something to do with this death, but it couldn't be proven beyond doubt. Casey has the posturing and overall attitude of a sociopath. The one thing she IS guilty of is her callous, selfish behavior in the aftermath of the child's disappearance. I don't see that Casey has any quality of life left - she will always be surrounded by suspicion and doubt, and will be a pariah. This is a life sentence of sorts for her. Of course, she will stand to make a ton of money off of this, which is a damned shame. As for her family life - w
  11. Both of these places are great! Just love the atmosphere of both, and AP is right - the Steakhouse has the best steaks - evahhhh!!!!!
  12. Amen! So hard to understand that kind of cruelty. Hope she gets well soon! She's always been very pleasant to me.
  13. God bless you and your family! What a wonderful story - God be with him, and bring him back to you soon!
  14. I can certainly second that!!!
  15. People in this country have always been fascinated by royalty - the "fairy tale" aspect, maybe? Then too, maybe just for a brief moment, it takes our mind off of all of the problems facing us - problems that are far from being solved, and that we will be reading and hearing about for a long time to come, anyway. Just a thought....... I do agree, though, that there are far more important things staring us in the face in this area. My prayers to all of those that are displaced and suffering, and have lost loved ones.
  16. An icon has passed! I knew that number before I knew my home phone number.
  17. This sounds like the place with the golden arches to me. I noticed they changed their shakes - to compete with some of the other places, maybe? Either way, their shakes are good. The whipped cream is a nice touch.
  18. Whoo! Was there on Friday night and had beef tips and rice, corn, and fried green tomatoes. Then I brought home some peach cobbler. I don't know if it's changed hands or not, but I've always loved the food. They had live music on the front porch the last 2 Fridays I was there.
  19. A very warm, kind lady. Prayers for her family, and especially her young son. He's a fine young man, and I pray for God's comfort for him in his healing process.
  20. Amen - really! Thanks, sugail and DGITW for telling it like it is. I feel for the woman - sounds like she's been abused to me, but her husband is a real sleaze for capitalizing on something like this. I haven't had a good feeling about that creep ever since he put on that Oscar-winning crying performance when he was "pleading" for her return.
  21. I'm glad they're working our for you! I've found along the way that some of the best things I've acquired have not necessarily what I paid the most for.
  22. My favorite Disney movies have to be Aladdin - that was hysterical! And Beauty and the Beast - I cry every time with that one. And it was beautifully made.
  23. Whew! One of my friends got dentures about a year ago - and after paying a war pension for them, was told when he went back to get them relined that he would have to cough up another $450.00 for that service. They failed to mention that at the outset. So you got a set of teeth for just a little less than what it cost just to line a set that cost ten times that much. Are you satisfied with your dentures?
  24. His acting style is not for me, for sure. Makes you wonder what he would be doing if he wasn't one of the Coppolas............. I think he was still using that last name when he played a fry cook in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" - that may have been his best performance.
