  1. Sounds yummy! Think I'll try it on that fresh pound cake I just made. Be a nice change from strawberries or peaches!
  2. Dinette and baker's rack for sale - beautiful condition. Will take $150.00 for both.
  3. My daughter will soon be turning 15, and I need to find some good activity to get her involved in. She's had a difficult couple of years, and I'd like to get her involved in something positive. She thinks she is too old to start dance or something like that, so I thought maybe music or martial arts? She is having difficulty "finding her place", so I want to try and draw her out some.
  4. I go to Dr. Christopher Wizner at Wellstar on Brownsville Rd. in Powder Springs. Very nice staff, and I've never had a problem getting in to see the doctor. He's super nice, and always takes time with his patients.
  5. I've been there on several occasions, and have gotten nothing but the best care. I'm glad others agree with me.
  6. I was coming through just after it happened. The police were on the way - we just kept moving since there were some other people stopped. I saw the car, but I couldn't tell if anyone was injured. I hope whoever was involved is OK. It looked pretty bad.
  7. Woo hoo!!!!!! Way to go, Hornets!
  8. My fiance has it and had an attack on the way to the beach last summer. He really has to watch what he eats - any type of tree nut seems to get imbedded and cause a problem. Diverticulosis is the condition of having pockets formed in the colon, caused by weaknesses in the wall of the intestine. The "itis" part is the inflammation of these pockets. It's not so common in folks under 40 - sorry you've been suffering with it. It can cause severe pain. My fiance was put on very strong antibiotics and painkillers (the GOOD stuff) to get him over it. Hope everything goes well with you! I'm su
  9. As my son said, "They should have just stopped, because they're REALLY in trouble now". I think the person responsible is in trouble with more than just the law. Seems it would be hard to live with yourself. As a last note - how kind this community is! I've only been in PC for six years, but it's so nice to see such a caring group of people.
  10. That would be a great idea! I'm sure that the school has some video of past performances. They had a talent night last spring where she did an outstanding solo.
  11. I've had the privilege of seeing this girl perform, and what a presence she was! My son said she was very nervous about performing, but you would never, ever know it from her poise. So gifted.
  12. I can't help but think that myself - the "what ifs" just stay in my mind. It's beyond tragic. I can't imagine what her family must be going through. My fervent prayers are with them.
  13. I do hope they will find the person responsible. My son was asking me last night how someone could do this, and just keep going. He couldn't understand. We may never know. My heart just breaks to think about that poor child.
  14. My son is in chorus, and they were classmates and rode the bus together last year.. He was told on Tuesday along with the other chorus students, but they were not given any details, and the information was withheld from the whole school until it was verified. It was announced at school yesterday. Apparently, this child's family was struggling, and she walked almost everywhere she went, including to school. She was a wonderful, very gifted girl, and I hope that the community can rally and help her family at this time.
  15. She was with them in a group of friends in a beach scene - I can't remember that she even spoke - it was a very small part.
  16. I think "Flo" was in The Heartbreak Kid with Ben Stiller. Looks a lot different without her Flo getup, doesn't she? I think "House" is starting to get a little stale - it had to happen after all this time. I don't see the thing with him and Cuddy helping matters. I think they're already starting to create a little tension in order to build up to the breakup. Still love House, though - he still has that appeal.
  17. My dentist does NOT look like John Stamos..........
  18. I feel the same way! I have been watching it for years - and I do mean YEARS! And I was so sad to see Guiding Light go off the air last year, too. I remember watching both shows with my mom and her sisters growing up. Bob and Lisa were YOUNG then! I hope that they have a good ending in store, and send the show off in a good way. It's just sad to see the "old days" pass away.............
  19. What a peaceful ending for her - compare that to the agony both of her husbands must have gone through. Well, it's judgement time for her.
  20. As the World Turns ends tomorrow. I hope they do it justice. Haven't watched it as much in recent years, but I go WAY back with this. I remember watching it during the summer as a kid with my mom and my aunts. Guiding Light ended last year, and my mom cried. I guess it's just the passing of something that's been around for so long and that you associate times of your life with. Kind of makes me sad.
  21. I go every year while I'm visiting my mom in Macon. It's the best - truly. Very clean, great facilities, good entertainment and food. There's a lot of parking, too, and the people are very nice.
  22. If you had LSU, we could do business. Cute tops, though!
  23. Yeah, they're off to a REAL good start. I don't know what they were up to, but the muffler was dragging under the car when he passed us. They went down the hill going pretty fast. They're just lucky they lived to get out of the car.
  24. Glad to hear it. Don't think they were armed and dangerous - looked like young kids, but my daughter's friends were alone at home across the street from the school.
