You can borrow Chloe any time! She would love to come play barbies with you. I think they would all be fine in the bedroom with bunk beds. You might really regret losing that play room. Like you said, all they do is sleep there, so why not? Being an only child, and now having one boy/one girl, I can't give much advice on sibling relationships, but I do know that Ian is the sweetheart of the two. Chloe can be sooo whiny. I don't even want to think about the teenage years..

I think your daughter would love it. My daughter is 4 and son is 7 and they loved it. We saw it at the Drive In theater in Blue Ridge on Saturday. I kept asking them if they thought it was scary and they said no, it's awesome. Disappointed that we didn't see it in 3d. May have to go again..

I think this is similar to what they do on "peopleofwalmart.com.". I know most people are familiar with that site, (hilarious!!!) but some don't notice that there are comments for every photo. You can read the comments, and have the opportunity to like or dislike a comment. If the dislikes far outweigh the likes, the comment is "invisible". You CAN still read it though, you just have to click on it. In that case, it keeps the dumb comments off the board. But you can still read them if you wish. I don't know how this will work on here... Not quite as simple as commenting on a photo. -
Did you guys have any odd trick or treaters?

Thursday at my kid's school they had their Halloween party. My son is in first grade and a girl in his class dressed up in a doctor's costume. When she came in the classroom, she yelled, "Dr G's in the house!" OMG I almost died.. she was Dr. G, medical examiner! She is super incredibly smart and I thought it was fitting that is her favorite show.. -
Wow you guys all had great costumes!! Sadie, your daughter is so pretty!! She looks great! Katied, love the candy pic! Too cute!! Keep them coming...

This is our first Halloween in this neighborhood and I was thrilled to see tons of kids. When we left to go out trick or treating, I left the bucket on the front porch with a sign and when we got home there was still some candy left! I've never had that happen before. In our old neighborhood, there was never candy left.

Dang, I missed it. Was it really that bad??

Good. Lord. Would you expect any other holiday to be changed due to weather??? I remember as a kid trick-or-treating in the rain, freezing cold, heat, and even ~gasp~ on a school night!! -
Just wanted to add for anyone who has a sore throat.. Cepacol Throat SPRAY is the best thing EVER! I had a HORRIBLE sore throat from a sinus infection a couple weeks ago and this stuff is like magic. It numbs your throat and took away all the pain for me. Better than regular Chloraseptic sprays..

I was in there yesterday and bought one of your handmade bars of soap and a bath bomb. They smelled wonderful!

Bed wetting is different from potty training IMO. My 4 year old still wets the bed. I would say same as above, limit evening drinks and cut off drinks at least an hour or two before bed time. Potty right before bed and if she is still wetting, then just give it a while. 3 1/2 is still young, it wont last forever. :-)

no children allowed in doctor's waiting room
DoubleRose replied to Mama Carol's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have heard of this recently. I know someone who goes to a pain clinic for her back problems. She had her children with her and the nurse told her no children allowed because "Kids were getting everyone sick". I admit I find it annoying when I'm at an adult oriented Dr office (Gyn, etc..) and there are kids running around and screaming (I have 2 of my own but don't bring them along). BUT, I do understand that some people don't have anyone to babysit. Either way, I don't think banning kids is going to stop people from getting sick, unless they are never leaving the house except for Dr app -
That is my question too, but I doubt it.

Give an example of what you saved.. Like how much you paid for a few things..

If my house was as big as yours, I might be the same... $$$ But ours is on and I'm loving it.

OMG what a cool little guy!! That made me cry! Autistic kids have a special place in my heart, and that video shows exactly why. Thanks for posting!

I know this sucks. I think most parents have dealt with a kid that refused medicine. If the doc says not to mix it, I'm sure there's a reason, but would mixing it be better than not getting the full dose? Might be worth a call to the pharmacist. If mixing is not an option, you will have to restrain him. I used to work with Autistic children and have had to help mom's do this several times with kids that were 6 and 8 years old. I wouldn't lay him on his back, that seems to increase the child's gag reflex, it's abnormal to be swallowing something while on your back. I would sit him on the

Didn't you say in another post that the anti-vaccination people were using scare tactics? Your last sentence above sounds like one to me. -
