  1. Thank you. I believe you are in the majority. Most people who have children in their lives appreciate a heads up about a potential pervert in the area. I know I do. To the few who seem to think I have ruined the lives of every red truck owner in the county, your comments mean nothing to me. If a similar situation happened and and the description matched me or my car, I would have NO PROBLEM answering questions from the police. Innocent people have nothing to worry about. Also, a report was filed that day, and anyone who can is more than welcome to verify that with the police. Sus
  2. Here is her response to your question via email.. Yes...it was gray primer....trust me this truck stands out....it is soooo old and sooooo beat up looking....
  3. Seriously? It was not simply a red pick up. The description is pretty detailed. OBVIOUSLY I am not expecting a citizen's arrest on the first guy with rotten teeth driving a red truck! Please try to put yourself in my friend's situation. Would you not be doing everything possible to warn people of this guy, and catch him? BOLO's are posted all the time. Think about Amber Alerts. Do you hear that on the news and immediately feel sorry for everyone driving that type of car??
  4. If you'd like my friends name, address or anything else, please feel free to PM me, I'm sure she'd be happy to talk with you.
  5. Wow, I would not post that much info on here... You should edit out your phone number and consider hiring a professional.
  6. I will. I told my friend that she now has hundreds of people on the lookout. I hope that comforts her during this scary time.
  7. Me too. Doubt the owner of a car lot would drive a truck like that.
  8. Perhaps people should just pm me or call police with leads.
  9. Yeah we should warn our kids, but not be on the look out for the guy. Good idea. Sorry, I'd rather offend someone. I hope this never happens to your children.
  10. REALLY!?? Wow! Can someone link to the thread so I can show my friend?
  11. It was for sale? Or just parked there? When? I will pass along the info. Thank you! This is what we need, any small lead could bring the police to this guy...
  12. Yeah you've met him I'm sure. We have to be so careful. I know mine would have when he was Gavin's age too. C wouldn't. She hates strangers. Oh and Cole Lake Road connects 278 (near the Hospital) and Scoggins road. This neighborhood is at the 278 end, off of Monroe Cole Road.
  13. No plate number that I am aware of. I'm sure she would have told me that part, but I will ask just in case.. He is an extremely smart little guy.
  14. I am posting this for my good friend. We were neighbors in Hickory Ridge Subdivision for years. My family moved (we still own the house there) and she is still living in the neighborhood. On September 29th her 8 year old son was outside when a man in a pick-up truck pulled up next to him. He told her son to hop in the truck, and they would go to Coldstone for an ice cream cone. Thank GOD her son knew what to do, and did not get in the truck with this man. So now, the even scarier part. The very next day, this same man, comes to my friends door. She didn't open the door, but he as
  15. I'm sorry about what happened to you. I've known several people who have battled cancer and I know how devastating that diagnosis and treatment can be. Luckily, I have at least 8 years until I have to face this decision with my daughter. And for now, my plan is to educate her on the consequences of having sex, importance of using protection, and annual exams.
  16. That's wonderful! Great job and thanks for giving back to the community. We will definitely try to get out there to support you guys, even if I have to close my eyes the whole time..
  17. Just curious what percentage goes to this cause? We don't live in Paulding anymore, but I work in Hiram and drive by the junkyard some mornings.. It looks pretty scary!
  18. That's great to hear. That is how I feel as well. I DID have pre-cancerous cells on my cervix at a (relatively) young age, not even 20. Thanks to yearly exams it was caught in time and I was able to have the cells removed by laser. Otherwise, it would have developed into cervical cancer. My daughter is only 4, but if she were a teen now, she would definitely not be getting the vaccine. She will be taught the importance of yearly exams that too many women neglect.
  19. Really?? Wow. I'm glad I drank a big glass of ice water about an hour ago. Why isnt it on the news? Or did I just miss it..?
  20. Where did you get this information?
  21. I agree. We are financially comfortable with 2, and didn't want to take that away. We are able to put them both in private school (with help from family) and with 3, that probably wouldn't be possible. So I am happy that we made the decision to stick with 2.
  22. I'm sorry about your son. I know that is the worst thing that can ever happen to a parent.
  23. I am an only child, now 26 years old. Sometimes I wish I had siblings. As a kid, I was lucky in that my parents always allowed my BFF to go with us on vacations and trips, and she got to sleep over several times a week during summers and lots of weekends during the school year. I can't say I wasn't spoiled (I still have a check card to my parent's account and I've been married for 6 years, LOL, I don't use it though..) but my parent's managed to raise me right with good values. Being an only really isn't all that bad. I promise. Friends make up for siblings and you become that much close
