  1. LOVE it there. And, you can bring your OWN food, which saves a ton of money. It is also awesome for kids with special needs. The ENORMOUS sand box is great for sensory stimulation.

  5. That is so sweet. I am a former military wife (my husband was in Korea and Iraq) and I was fortunate to have family to help with things like this. But, I knew many wives who didn't. People like you can lift the spirits of someone who is overwhelmed, and may be just about to break down. And you too Myrlin. Very kind of you to try to help.
  6. You could be right, I was just assuming as well... I figured lots of people would get the same pics..
  7. I think they just typed in Lisa and got the same pic as you. I don't think they know you...

  9. My husband just found a place online called Banning Mills. It has swimming, horseback riding, a zip line thing, birds of prey shows and lots of other activities. It's kind of expensive though.. $39/person for a 1 hour horseback ride...
  10. We just moved to Temple and are looking for somewhere fun, outdoors to take the kids to play. Know of any parks in the area that have a playground and or other fun activities?? TIA
  11. I wish they would put a light there. My MIL lives in the subdivision (Due West Estates) and it is so scary pulling out right there.. I know there have been fatal accidents at that intersection...
  12. First I have to say that I LOVE living in a neighborhood with kids. My kids have friends to play with and it's easy to make friends. It would really take repeated, blatant acts of disrespect to push me to the edge, but if that were the case, I think I would put the bikes/toys etc in my garbage can, and set it out by the street for all the kids to see. Or just throw them away privately. They will learn. For the first offense I would take the toys to their house, knock on the door and tell the parents that their little sweetie must have accidentally left this in my yard. That way you c
  13. Did she say she would pay you back before or after you bought the supplies?
  14. First day of class for Georgia Highlands in the old courthouse is in 2 weeks..
  15. My 4 year old daughter loved it! I thought it was pretty good...
  16. I started to do it, but it wanted my email and password for my email! I entered a new password and it said "this password is not correct for this email address.." Am I doing something wrong? I'm not giving them my PW..
  17. Mine increased by $100 to $422!! I guess we are running the pool pump a little more than usual, but DANG!! We are going to be sitting in the dark and lighting candles from now on.
  18. You like the idea of taxing plastic surgeries? What about the people who live their whole lives with some kind of physical abnormality that insurance won't pay to fix? They save and save to be able to afford a surgery to make themselves feel "normal". I would hate for people like that to have to pay even more. ETA: Children often have surgeries too. They may have a cosmetic issue that causes them anxiety and ridicule at school.
  19. Yep, sometimes I feel like "Wait a minute, I was here first.." LOL My kids are so lucky to have 3 sets of incredible Grandparents. They see them all often and have an incredible bond with each grandparent... Lucky kids!
  20. The rain would only cause spots if you went out in the rain within like 10 to 30 minutes after having it done, as with any spray tan. The pic you posted is it!
