One of the reasons we left Paulding County rec ball was the way teams are put together- I mean "picked". We went to Oregon Park and found a much better situation. I am not saying it was perfect... but it was a lot better. After sign ups are over there is a skills test where all the coaches rank the players. The ranks are averaged & the players are set into a draft. The coaches can only reserve their player and the assistant coach of records player. After that they can pick one from each level in turn. It also solved - usually, there is always someone... the problem of parents screaming

Going into the 7th inning, South was leading 4 - 3. In the bottom of the 7th Lambert Longhorns hit a walkoff 2 run homer. Thanks for all the well wishes & support. Watch for us next year!

Congrats!

South lost game 1 9 - 6 despite home runs by Jamie McKnight and Marquise Vialet. Game 2 started out on a sour note leaving South behind 0 - 5. South came back in the bottom of the 5th and 6th to win the game 9 - 5. Marquise hit another homer in this game and Alex Cannon was the third member of the homerun club. Jamie McKnight pitched the entire 2nd game. We head back to Lambert High School tomorrow for a 6:00 game. GO SPARTANS!!!

Congrats to Coach Galamore for being coach of the year and to: Marquis, Alex, and Jamie for making First Team. Also to Christian, Cole, Derek, Trenton, Tate, and Eddie for an Honorable Mention. Way to go guys!!

My 17 year old started playing at 2 and has played every season since. Sometimes kids just know what they want to do.

This might sound a little shallow, but after watching 50 First Dates I have a renewed interest in my childrens everyday lves. I just keep thinking how wonderful being a mom would be if you started out each day absolutely amazed that YOU are a mom. Also, could you imagine how special a child would feel knowing that their mom is so happy just because they exist?!!!

I don't know if you are interested in a used 3 in1, but if you are I have one that was used for one child. It would include the crib matress, some bedding, and the kit for a toddler bed.

I have heard of a couple, but haven't had the opportunity to try either out (thank goodness!!) The first is to grind an aspirin to dust and apply to the hurting tooth. The other is to put a drop of clove oil on the tooth. Hope you feel better.

Years ago I had purchased a chopper from Pampered Chef. It took about 10 years, but it wore out - my guess is I would wear out after being beaten 3 to 4 times a week for that long! Anyway my husband purchased one of those Slap Chop things (the basic design & idea were the same). Unfortunately the differences became apparant as soon as I used it. It is sitting in my cabinet & I am getting very good with a knife!

If you are looking for the closest fields you should go to New Hope Park (on N Industrial near the Animal Shelter) If you want the best program I'd recommend Oregon Park (off of Dallas Hwy behind the Dairy Queen - Hadaway Rd I think)

We took the corner cabinet out of our kitchen, put it back up in the dining room, then put up some metal shelves up in its place. Now I need to go to Lowes H get some paint!

It is with the vitamins and supplements at all the stores. I have given it to children in the past but I would ask your pharmacist about the granules that you can pour it on something he eats.

Whenever we have to take antibiotics we also take acidopholous. It relieves the stomach problems caused by the antibiotics.

My older daughter woke up yestersay morning with an upset stomach. Lets just say that it got worse. Is there a stomach virus going around? How long does it last? And (unfortunately) does anyone know what the incubation period is? (My 3 yr old picked up.her sister's glass & drank from it)

Where do you get Chinese? Where we used to go was great... until the parents retired & left it to the kids.

When I lived in the great white north we used to heat up maple syrup (the real stuff if you have it) and pour it over packed snow. It makes a maple candy. So good!

I feel like the odd man out... did not even think about chili. I did have Black Beans & Rice last night. Ordered pizza tonight before the storm hit!

A neighbor of mine was having a yard sale and had a box of old panties for sale. I was absolutely grossed out and she told me they would probably be the first items to go... YUCK!
