Yes to both. When you set up the Roku, it asks you if you are using wireless internet & you put in your password. I think I paid $58 at Walmart.com had it shipped to the store & picked it up. As for how wi-fi works... I think of it like my computer. I don't know how it works, I just know it does . The only thing I use it for is getting the internet to my computers that are in another room/area of my house. Really don't know if it can be used for anything else, but would like to know!!

No, but it is hooked up to a dvr that has the HDMI port... will that work - possibly? We purchased a blue ray player tonight, but it won't work with our tv. Probablly going to return it tomorrow.

I have neighbors that do this also... and we all have really long drives & plenty of turn around space.

I drove by today & the power was on & a sign in the window saying a new baseball place opening soon. Not too much longer I hope. Kids need a place to swing a bat.

Are your kids old enough to take on some of your jobs? My son just started college and we have scaled his chores WAY back and the others are having to help me pick up the slack! I know it's rough, but your kids will see how hard you are working at your education & it will encourage them to be more interested in their education! Best of luck to you!

I LOVE my trash service!!! I thought I loved them last week when they took everything I put out BUT... This morning I looked out my window & a dog had torn apart a box that was beside the cans. I make black bean quesadillas... Mix in baggie: 1 can black beans 1 small chopped onion 1 T taco seasoning Mix in another baggie: 1 can corn 1 chopped red pepper I usually do that the night before, it really lets the flavors mix. Put a tablespoon or so of each bag onto a buttered tortilla shell and top with either quesadilla or Mexican cheese. Fry in pan or sandwich maker until tortilla browns and cheese is melted. I serve with sour cream, salsa, and (if they are lucky) guacamole.

Well, if you play in the Spring sports, you can't go on the February break - 2 a day practices AND you have to be back on the Wednesday of Spring Break. As for missing a game, if your child wants to stay on the team... they had better not miss those days.

Took my girls to see Cars 2 (very cute movie BTW) There where LOTS of little kids, no surprise . What was surprising was that these little kids where better behaved than the adults that brought them! The number of cell phones glowing... OMGosh! One family even brought a multi-colored flashing light thing (for the baby, think it absolutely mesmerized him. Don't know if that is good for brain development???) that they would have left on for the whole movie if someone with light trigger migraines didn't ask them to turn it off.
