  1. First night...Thursday September 23.... More info here: WWW.folklorehauntedhouse.com
  2. You must be really bored at work... Bought your 'snow tires' yet?
  3. I believe it is similar to the mile markers you see on the Interstate system...but don't quote me on that!
  4. Got an Email answer from Bill Watson today... You have to be 65 on January 1 and file by April 1 to get the exemption... My kids have been out of school for 20 years... 50% of M&O and Bond....Mine will go down $860...next year...
  5. RESPONSE: One...it needs to be kept On-Stage Two...At one time maybe she did, but now, Not So Much! Three...I'm not jealous, I'm a guy who likes my ladies a little less 'chunky'...a little more like Jane or Sophia. And yep, I'm into 'older' women...have been since Junior High...
  6. OK ladies...I get it, you all hope you look like Cher when you reach your 60's. When that happens, do us men-folk a favor and leave the Walmart costumes in the closet! I'm just saying...with her money the last couple of 'tucks' should have been a bit lower, or maybe layoff the Cheeseburgers for a while. I'll bet she won't look as good as Jane at 72!! Or Sophia at 76!!
  7. Probably a gallon of gas and 30 minutes with a weed-eater would fix that!
  8. Excellent advice. One thing you should always remember, no matter how sweet that listing Realtor appears to be...He/She represents the Seller!
  9. For Cher to stop dressing like a 30-something? I mean, this outfit is an embarrasment, even for Cher! C'mon girl, you're over 60, and looking a little 'Chunky'...Most of us don't wanna see that..
  10. Just wondering.... How many complaining about the trash along the roadways are also complaining about property taxes? Recent TV Commercial..."If you see what's wrong and you try to make it right, you will be a point of light!"
  11. My kids would rather have candy than socks anyday.....
  12. Homemade Veggie soup.... I remember the smell from my Mom's kitchen when I was a young lad...Whatever was 'left-over' from the previous week's dinners was put into the pot along with a few chunks of beef...and then a pan of cornbread would magically appear...YUM!
  13. The Colonial Pipeline that runs thru the County supplies refined gasoline to the tank farm in west Cobb. The california fire was due to natural gas leaking from the undeground supply pipes...residents were said to have complained about a 'gas smell' for several days before the fire. Most likely infrastructure deterioration due to unstable ground movements in the area. I wonder why the natural gas supplier did not heed the warnings of residents?
  14. WE'VE HAD RECORD CORN PRODUCTION AS A RESULT OF THE ETHANOL MARKET...WE PAY FARMERS TO GROW IT...That's right, CORN is one of those 'price supported' crops. Article here: http://pennysleuth.com/august-2010s-market-outlook-sell-dollars-buy-grain/
  15. I'm with you Blue...Half-Windsor all the way. Haven't worn a tie for business in years...mostly now just to funerals, bar mitzvahs and the occasional night on the town. I probably have about 300-400 ties, no matter what the style; wide, medium, narrow...stripes to Paisley I've got them all. Trouble is when the style comes back mine are still all wrong...either too wide or too narrow or the stripes are incorrect or the print is not right. It's a Tie Conspiracy.... Maybe I could take them all to Goodwill and take a tax deduction for the original price...OMG I don't want to thin
  16. Give it a try... http://zipskinny.com/
  17. FIRST-- "Most motorists would turn on HIGH or FASTEST SPEED of the wipers during heavy downpour, yet the visibility in front of the windshield is still bad...... In the event you face such a situation, just try your SUN GLASSES (any model will do, but 'yellow tint' is best), the polarized effect will help to clear your visibility in front of your windshield! Make sure you always have a pair of SUN GLASSES in your car, as you are not only helping yourself to drive safely with good vision, but also might save someone's life." SECOND-- "NEVER DRIVE IN THE RAIN OR SNOW WIT
  18. BE 'SURE' TO MOUNT IT UPSIDE DOWN...MAYBE WE CAN START A TREND THAT WILL CATCH ON STATE-WIDE! I'M SURE SOMEWHERE THIS WILL BE DISCOVERED AS ILLEGAL! SO ALL YOU 'PEEPS' OUT THERE START GOOGLING....
  19. I expect to see some road rage when the HOT lanes begin...just imagine that guy from Alpharetta in his Beemer trying to get around a guy in a 20 year old PU truck going 65...I hope there isn't any way to get back into regular lanes once you're in the HOT lanes... I won't be renewing any of my specialty tags next year, I thought about doing it last year, the extra fees are already too much. After the initial tag fee all they have to do is mail the sticker and that costs a $1 mailing fee to boot. I think all you have to do is pay the regular tag fee and ad valorum taxes, then write
  20. Don't think I would even try...+++ bad mojo there +++ Cast iron cookware has a tendency to 'retain' some of whatever is cooked in it, oil is especially difficult.
  21. I know that many regulars here avoid the'Political Discussion' board like the plague. However, I am doing a bit of research and I would like your opinion. If you would take a minute to go to the Political Discussion board and post your responses to my Poll, I would greatly appreciate it. Have a great Holiday...
