  1. Here are two of my favorites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUMcA--ejOc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBzd79EGxng
  2. Wow! How very sad! They left behind 5 children! I wonder what the cause of death was, as the article just said, not of natural causes. In fact, the article didn't give much details at all.
  3. Stories like this......and we either all have them, or all know someone who does........really reinforces my desire for health care/insurance reform, NOW! I have several horror stories involving hospitals/medical care/bills and health insurance that would be rather lengthy for me to explain here. I will say, good for you for being observant! I feel, that if they don't correct this in a timely manner, then I would consider a law suit. I would only sue for the amount in question, for court costs, and lost time at work, perhaps. I don't see how this is anything but the right thing to d
  4. Hey, I have an idea of how to completely get rid of the need for the EIC! Let's raise the minimum wage to something that people could actually live on, in the real world. A living wage. Who does this help the most?????..........the small/medium/large businesses that get to pay their employees peanuts, offer little or no outside benefits, etc. Or the low paid employee who will/or has no choice, but to work for peanuts, and try to get by. I do think it is unwise for someone to spend their EIC on a vacation, but what did AIG do with their bail out?
  5. Ahhhh Utopia. I love rainbows and unicorns. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAIKznMPXUk
  6. What would the unions stand to gain from Toyota's troubles?
  7. While your conspiracy thought is suspicious of the unions, mine would be suspicious of the other companies in competition with Toyota.
  8. I would borrow the trap that someone was offering up and keep it set on my property. In fact, I believe I would invest in several traps to place all around my property, plus I would take pics and document every time I saw the dog on my property and call. Then every time I caught the dog, I would immediately be on the phone with AC. Let them keep paying a fine over and over and over again. That could get expensive after awhile. Maybe they would begin to realize that it might be cheaper on them to put up a fence. I would also sue them for the medical cost I incurred from the recent bite.
  9. Too bad you didn't get his tag number. It could save someone's life down the road. These idiots infuriate me! Glad you are ok!
  10. I just think we are really lucky to have you and LPPT in Paulding County. I don't personally know either of you, but I have seen how you both work so hard to keep us informed, help those in need, entertain us, etc. I think this is what real beauty is all about. I know, Lady Raider, I could never beat your total. Seems like I saw someone post one time about how many mayberries you had and that is when I realized just how few I actually had. I have, however, seen where you seem to be one of the first ones in a thread to welcome people and help people, so I know you deserve them all.
  11. Well, I will for sure vote for Pubby! I happen to think that intelligence, creativity, a good sense of humor, compassion, honesty, concern for others, and above all bravery, are some of the most important things that make a person good looking. And it seems to me that Pubby has all these traits and probably many more.
  12. My prayers being said, for yet more people involved in a car wreck. Especially the children involved here.
  13. I love the anonymity of this site. I use Facebook only for making connections with old, long, lost acquaintances, as my "friends", I have never actually lost touch with. I rarely get on or even check FB. But I like to get on here almost everyday. Can't wait to see what is going on, or what is being talked about. I actually feel that because of the anonymity, you really do get to know the "real" person, inside the person. (If that makes any sense) I feel that people "hold back" a lot of what they are feeling or want to say, in real life. Whereas on here, where you can remain anonymous, y
  14. Sorry for this little rant. I temporarily escaped from the political forum.
  15. DARN!!!!! Those evil investigative reporters, consumer advocates and big, evil, bloated government safety rules and regulations, at it again!! Just trying to take more of our "personal freedoms" away, sticking their "noses" where they don't belong! Trying to control private enterprise and interfere with the free market place! Just spending our tax money trying to tell private companies what they can and can't do! When, after all, these poor, innocent, companies/corporations are just trying to make a buck! GEEEZ!!
  16. I like what this guy says. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOuE4UyO81g
  17. In my opinion he did make a mistake with this. I think this is a classic symptom of a common and age old condition among politicians of both parties in DC, called flimflam. In this case the specific strain is called pharmaceutical company flimflam, or PCF for short. Brought on by big money and lobbyists. But then, there is a pill for that, ya know. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veofQtHDekw
  18. They are in here to complain about Obama, not discuss what common ground there is between the two parties on getting healthcare reform.
  19. I actually think that Obama made a mistake by cutting that deal with the Pharmas and I do agree with McCain on the points he pointed out. However, I think the purpose of this summit is to try to find the common ground that the two sides are at currently.
  20. I have watched a large part of it, but missed some parts of it. If I can find the time, I would like to watch it all the way through. I love that this is public so we can all follow along and see and hear what is happening.
  21. What are RFID tags? I am not understanding how this would work. Also, I like having a "cashier". Unless I just have a couple of items, I prefer to stand in line and have a real person check me out. I think stores still need to keep "some" personal contact with their customers. I think it would be weird to go into a store and never make contact with a store employee at all. Its nice at the end of your shopping trip when the cashier says, "how are you doing today", or "did you find everything you needed". In most stores that is the only "personal" contact most people have with the store
  22. I think it is a great idea. And for those who say they always forget their bags, I bet once you have to pay for the store bags a time or two, you will begin to remember them. This is the reason I think they are going to "charge" for them in the fist place. Because like mentioned in a previous post, you know we have already been paying for them all along. As far as germs, if you throw them in with the clothes you are already going to have to wash, you won't be using any more water than you ordinarily would have.
  23. Jack, Are you a writer? This was beautiful! Loved it!
  24. This was really cute! Most of the kids did pretty good with resisting the temptation to eat it. However, most all of them smelled and took tiny "test" bites. While I was watching this however, I was thinking that as a child, I would have probably went ahead and ate mine, simply because I don't really like marshmallows that much and wouldn't have cared anything about getting a second one. I was wondering if that was why the one little girl just went ahead and ate hers? Or maybe one was all she need to satisfy her? (little as she was)
