  1. My prayers being said for all those involved. Reading this just saddens me so much. Way, way, way too many, in my opinion, are killed in car accidents! Please be careful out there!
  2. I hope they can come up with a better way to treat this disease! And, hopefully if it works well in animals, it will work well in humans as well. This is an exciting development!
  3. I am sure there may be some occasional mistakes made, but if they routinely pack up the "wrong brand" or "leave items out", I don't think they will be in business very long. People will complain and/or simply wouldn't shop there. I think it is in "their" best interest to get "your" order right. And, as far as being charged regular price for things that are on sale........first of all my above comment would apply here also, and I would just check my receipt when they brought out my order and make sure I was charged the sale price, before I paid. And/or just make a copy of my online list wit
  4. I think this would be great. Well worth the small $7.99 fee, in time and hassle saved parking, and spending an hour or so shopping, and then another 10 or 15 min. waiting to check out, then having to lug it all out to your car, (in the heat, rain, sleet, snow, wind etc.), And if you have small children, this could really be a blessing.
  5. No kidding.......mine was a Ford Pinto. Same color as the one here, looked just like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rX-Zk_LNZWg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXmDK8dihrI
  6. Wow, even the depression doesn't look so bad in color! Those are truly beautiful pictures. I think pictures are a nice way for the past to meet the future, and we can learn so much from them. Maybe, by looking into our past, we can change our future. I want to say thanks for posting, also. For some strange reason this old Smashing Pumpkins song comes to my mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONg2S2WLbG0&feature=related
  7. Well I kinda liked the two, cold women, enjoying a good weenie roast.
  8. Don't know where you can find one, sorry. Especially, at this late of a notice. This same thing happened to my daughter and she was MAD!!! And I don't blame her. She ended up getting a truck somehow, but she had to raise hell with them. If they have had you "reserve" a truck, then they should "make sure" you have one!
  9. I like this old Johnny Carson joke. Just found it on the internet. It's so hot... I saw a dog chasing a cat and they was both walkin.
  10. All you gotta do is throw it in with a load you are already planning to do, and it will not use up any more energy and resources, than you were already going to use anyway. And, I bet they would stand up to more washings than you would think, markdavd.
  11. Ok LTD, Now say that in laymen's terms, so I can understand what you just said.
  12. mmmmmmm Those look soooooo good, SouthernScarlet. I would love to have a slice also.
  13. Do you mean this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfJnqbudMzs If so, now it is really going to be in your head! LOL Although, I kinda like it, it's a nice little catchy tune. I think it is a cute little name for a business too.
  14. MissSophie, A picture and a recipe are worth a thousand words, ya know.
  15. Ok, I have to admit, I just looked at another thread asking "why haven't you got your pubby buck". And I have absolutely no idea what is going on here. I mostly like to read the political threads anyway.
  16. Thanks fishnthec. I thought it was funny too. Actually this song began playing in my head when I saw that picture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4wnrIJxlF8 Except instead of saying get your motor running....it should say get your mother running.
  17. I am also glad to hear the baby is ok. It is hard to keep babies safe from everything. When my was little and with my grandson, I have often wished they made a baby bubble wrap suit, especially when they are learning to walk.
  18. Yes, markdavd, this could be the problem. I haven't checked it in a while and it could be low on freon or something causing it to run longer and work harder to keep the house cool. I called Greystone today, to see if I could get someone to come out and check my meter, and they said that if nothing turns out to be wrong with it, then I will be charge a $25.00 service fee. I might just have my ac serviced first, I'm sure it needs it anyway. If, after I do that, it is still running high like this, I might risk having to pay the $25.00 to have a meter check. I would hate to have to pay this
  19. Here are a couple more great ideas to use those old lawn mowers! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0d_KEiIHiU and.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJJrjDI5xSQ
  20. Yes, mine is in the sun and on the hot side of my house as well. It gets most of the hot afternoon sun. I think I am going to have it checked out.
  21. I was wondering about that as well, but when they first installed it (in December) my bill actually went down slightly for the first five months over the same bill periods, when compared to last year. But the usage was close enough that I really didn't think much of it, as I know usage fluctuates each month. Since they were close, I figured both meters were probably working about the same. So, I had been thinking that my "old" meter might have been off slightly. But, now with it jumping so much higher than it was last year, I am just wondering if the new meter has malfunctioned somehow in th
  22. Watcher, has Greystone put in a new electronic/digital meter at your house yet? Does anyone besides watcher have their "last years bill" for the same time period? I expected my bill between last month and this month to be higher, that happens ever year. But what I am curious about is how many (especially with the new digital meters) are experiencing a much higher bill for this month, compared to last years bill for this month. I am going to go back and check my bills for the last few years, as this is the highest I can remember my bill being since I have lived here. And I don't beli
