I think I will do this. I am with Greystone also. As far as I know they have not had a recent rate increase or anything. In fact, from what I am seeing their rates are the same as last year. Usually mine stays fairly close from year to year. I keep all my bills and if I seem to have a high one, I look back at the previous year to compare. I have never had one jump up this much in a month when I compared it to the same time period from the previous year. Mine usually fluctuates some, but never this much. I just got my electric bill for the previous month and it is right at $90.00 higher than it was the same time last year. My last months bill was also higher than my last years bill as well. I am very conservative and don't see how I used that much more electricity than I did last year. In fact, I was thinking it should be lower than last years, as I have almost replaced all my bulbs with the new, more energy efficient ones. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. It sounds to me like she is trying to be considerate and take care of a sick and elderly mom. I do agree with you that those going slow should try, whenever possible, to stay in the right lane.

While your example is a remote possibility, but because of all the non-emergency, inconsiderate drivers, who are just being rude, it is hard to distinguish between who is and who is not having an emergency. If I were needing to go somewhere fast and got behind someone going slow, I would put on my flashers and flash my headlights, and toot my horn, and perhaps put my hand out the window and motion the person to pull over. But, I understand what you are saying here. That is even more reason why those who are just in some kind of non-emergency hurry should not be doing these things.

You know, if they are having a real emergency, they will probably be in an ambulance, or at least have their flashers on. In which case, I would suggest she simply pull over. However, I would be willing to bet that 90% or more of these lead footed drivers, are just simply in a rush to get where they are going. If the person behind you has no way of knowing your circumstance then maybe they should just assume it is something like what the op is saying, and be patient.

Yeah right MCMM! So, what do you suggest she do when her mom needs to go somewhere. Walk? Take our public transportation? Fly in her plane? Get real, buddy! I believe she is the one driving safely, it is those in a big hurry that are not!
