Actually BB, after reading through this whole thread, it sounds like it has completely backfired on the OP. Seems to me that Mr Clark, has rushed to the rescue of a lot of the people of this county, and now they are rushing to his rescue in this thread.

"Green" Craft Project: Make This Birdfeeder
ivylove replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
That is soooo cute and a clever way to use an old bottle. Thanks for sharing that Butterflylion. I love projects like this where I can use things I have around the house. This might be a good project that kids could participate in. -
Before I get all worked up and mad about this old lady, I have to wonder.........(trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, here) If she really has bone cancer, than this is so very sad, to me! It was really hot out there today, especially for a 70 year old lady to be out soliciting for money in it. I can certainly see how and why you got mad and felt like you were being took advantage of and were scammed. But, I have to wonder, if she is sick, then maybe some of the drugs or medical treatments, or even perhaps her age, have possibly affected her judgement or reasoning abilities. Maybe

I am just wondering what could possibly be the purpose for them doing this? Bored teens, with nothing better to do all night, but run around from house to house slashing tires, taking a risk of getting shot or a dog bite? Was it the thrill of doing something, and not getting caught? What or who would have something to gain from this? My first thought on something like this, is that they were mad at someone, but I doubt whoever did this was mad at everyone that got their tires slashed?

Add my prayers to the list.

I think it should be more about fixing what is wrong and not so much about the D/R. This is one reason I am an Independent. I think what we really need is someone who is smart, creative, sincere, honest and caring, and will really work hard to do what is in the "peoples" best interest. And, will make sure that they first do no harm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFhlHj7SauI

feelip, I have to agree with you on this one. I really wish their were more Independents. I think that if there were more "I's" on the ballot then people would feel more freedom to vote for the person and not the party. There would be less bickering over who has a D and who has an R. Because, in the end, does the letter at the end of their name really matter? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uX1h4_OGJ8k

There is NO way I would let my child walk across hwy 61...
ivylove replied to GipperGirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I really don't think it is safe for anyone, to be walking anywhere, around any of these roads anymore. Maybe 30 or 40 years ago the risks might have been somewhat minimal..... before the roads became SO dangerous, before there were SO many cars trying to crowd onto these roads, before everyone was in a big hurry and people felt the need to drive SO fast, often with little or no regard for others, before cell phones and texting, etc. In my opinion, there are just too many cars, going too fast, in too many different directions, with too many careless and distracted drivers. And it's -
See naturegirl, it all makes sense now.

I really wanted to see these, but for some reason they are not coming through on my computer. But from what I am gathering from the other responses, I am glad the children are out of there.

I only made reference to Melissa Etheridge because TJB had made a reference to her in an earlier post. It just brought her to my mind, and most folks know that she is an out-of-the-closet lesbian. It was really meant as just a little footnote and a response to TJB's comment. Oh, and thanks for your blessing, NC. I actually meant b for benevolent.

How do you know I am not out having a gentle and positive influence, on non celebrities whose heterosexuality might ultimately hurt them? So, I'm not worth a bullet, huh. My feelings are hurt. I am not sure what this "r" word is you are referring to but, for you, the b word is coming to my mind, while reading your response to my posts in here. And I don't get what you are talking about with the reading disability and short term memory loss thing either. Care to explain this a little more to me? Who knows, maybe I did read something wrong?
-
I'm well aware of that, honey. And I was not talking about Melissa Etheridge attending this private school. I was talking about the child of the lesbian couple the OP posted about, honey.
-
What? What does whether or not someone is famous or not have anything to do with this? I am talking about an opportunity to influence someone/anyone who is wanting to learn in a private, christian school.
-
I believe I have a little different take on this than most of you guys: I am actually quit surprised and shocked that the school wouldn't jump at this chance to make a statement of their own, and use this rare opportunity, to possibly, have a positive influence on this girl and her parents! What they have, put forth in front of them, is a golden opportunity to teach her, and her parents, what the bible teaches. Perhaps this could be a turning point in her and even her parents lives and/or lifestyle decision. Think about this for a minute......Aren't homosexuals and certainly the children of

 Now that makes perfect sense! Three is such a cute age!

Makes me think of a funny little incident, that happened recently, when my daughter and grandson, who is 3, passed by the old Catfish Den. My Grandson asked his mom if the Catfish Den was where the Cats went to eat fish?

How do you know what is the proper way to grieve? How do you know their parents "don't talk to them"? Who are you to judge this? http://www.mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=22754
