  1. Well, I am glad it is now over with, and I am looking foward to plenty of more sunshine! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jelK5byhCbE
  2. I agree! http://www.nader.org/index.php?/archives/2172-The-Case-Against-Corporate-Speech.html#extended
  3. Really? Then don't complain about how high "your" taxes are, while these guys are compensated millions of dollars, thanks in part or in whole to "you", Mr. and Mrs. American taxpayer.
  4. I think if someone is shooting at or around your house with a BB (or any other type of gun, for that matter) you have every right to be mad as h*ll and very concerned about yours and your childrens safety! My only questions here are: Would a BB gun have the power to hit something "a few houses down"? (I guess this could depend on how close the houses are in your neighborhood.) And are any of the other neighbors around you, or closer to that house having any problems with this? I think it was smart to make a police report, but I think you should also be sure and document this with picture
  5. And you just have to wonder, why these big companies need a "taxpayer" bail out.
  6. Saying a prayer now! Hope he is ok.
  7. Wow, Love her new song, "Soldier of Love"! Great video also!! She doesn't look like she has aged a day.
  8. Well then, I just have one thing to say about all this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_L8DcjFOD1k
  9. Me too naturegirl. If those things came up to me it would scare the stuffings out of me!!
  10. I don't see this as, about "giving up" our rights for safety. But rather, about "gaining" our rights for and to safety.
  11. Then maybe it should be made where the DNA can be used for identification purposes only and automatically taken out of the database if the person is found innocent. I say if they are found guilty, then they lose their right to that privacy.
  12. Then wouldn't I have an equal right to know if you are guilty, of a crime against me, or someone I love, as you do to show that you are not?
  13. I feel the same way. If he could take the time to say "because I said so", then why couldn't he have taken the same time to respectfully explain to her why? After all it sounds like he was dealing with a law abiding elderly lady, not some teenage trouble making punk. Sounds like to me, he could have shown a little more respect himself. I could understand if there had been something else going on at that moment, at that location, where he wouldn't have time to give, at least, a simple explanation.
  14. The way I see it, your rights end where mine begin.
  15. I agree. What's there to be afraid of? If it goes as far as an arrest, then I would think that they would have pretty good reason, and most likely some other evidence to even arrest you. In fact, if I were accused and/or arrested for a crime that I was innocent of, I would insist that they get DNA.
  16. This just doesn't sound like an accident to me! I was not trying to be mean about the fence question. I was just wondering if this was a one time deal, where the dog escaped a fence. (In which case, I would be furious!) It does however, sound like this dog has been out and about in this area for 12 years, without any other incidents. If there had been previous and/or constant past issues with the dog, then this might make a little more sense. However, since there obviously hasn't been, and it sounds like the little dog was friendly, it just seems shocking that someone would do this! It ap
